8:10am 27/09 - came by here last night but couldn't find it. Turns out I just didn't look in the right place.
This cache has really had it. The lid is cracked in half, as a result the whole thing - including the log book - is bathing in water, the container completely full. I was able to sign the log, emptied the container of water, but it's day is done.

The only thing dry(ish) was the log. Everything else was soaked through. Time to toss the junk, it's starting to smell. TNLNSL TFTC
I didn't have any books to swap, and I don't seem to have time to read the books I already have (too busy Geocaching but I decided to come after this for my daily cache find ... good thing I didn't want to swap books - the log book was the only one that is not a soggy pile of mush ... eew
TFTC - no good for book crossing, but just fine for a daily smiley

An early start at work, so finished with enough daylight to grab a few caches on the way home. A quick find, but the container desperately needs a new lid - the cache was full of water and the books were sodden. The log book was high and dry though. TFTC.

A nice find on our walk through this area. As others noted, container needs replacing. TFTC!
A nice afternoon ride and this was spotted after a short search. Nice spot. The container needs replacing though because the lid is cracked. Don't think the books are going to survive much longer sadly. Thanks Eynowd
Found today on a walk with Joolay and the geohounds. The cache had no cover and was quite exposed. The lid is also cracked though the contents were dry. A couple of books in there but I didn't take any as I had none to swap. TFTC
Wanted to get this a week ago but couldn't because the area was teeming with SES searching for a missing person. Got it tonight after work. A quick find. The lid of the cache doesn't clip closed anymore so the cache isn't spider proof - I discovered that the hard way as I pulled out the log, yuck! - so I only did a quick thumb through the books. Nothing in my favourite genre, so TNLN. Great concept. TFTC Eynowd
Alas I did not have any books with me to drop off, though I got a heap at home that will go to Lifeline sometime. TFTC.
What a great use, hadn't heard of this particular book swap before. Love anything that shares resources and takes money out if the system!
Easy find. As noted container lid is busted but everything is still pretty dry and ok inside. Put the twigs/sticks back on as the camo. TFTC.
Decided on a long day of caching in the ACT. and left home 3 am. Had a great day with 2 events involved as well. Lots of find and (unusually) lots of dnf's as well. Met some great people and the weather was at least dry today. Finally home and exhausted by 8 pm. Thanks for putting out this cache!

1st find while on a geo-cycle today. It was an easy find, and not really camouflaged. The lid is loose, as per previous logs. I put a few sticks and lots of leaf litter on top - this might have been the previous camo?? I hope it doesn't blow off. TFTC
After completing a few nearby caches I took a quick stroll over to this one. Love the idea and was surprised at the camo for the type of hide. TNLN.

Tnfc cache box lid is not sealing properly and contents are getting wet. Tried to close the box as best I could to keep rain out.
Found cache today 20-1-15.
The lid of the box is not sealing properly and water is getting in soaking the books.
Dried the box as best I could , but the lid wont close properly.
Needs a better lid.

Decided to go on a sunday afternoon cache hunt with Aussiebloke23 and this was our first cache. After a 2km walk we got within 100m of the GZ, but then we had to find a way to get around the dam. After finding our way around and searching through the long grass we found the cache. No book swaps this time. TFTC Eynowd!
Dropped off 2 books http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/13041072/ and http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/13041129/ and picked up 2.
One of the books in there wasn't a bc book so I'll label and release elsewhere

found with HypoHippo on a warmish afternoon. We targeted this cache to collect the PT that StrangeTrousers dropped a few days ago as HH collects PTs (and is very soon to have his own). Lots of grass seeds on the way to the cache, but cache found easily enough. No book swaps this time, but perhaps another time! TFTC Eynowd!
Found with AngelG27. Collected the PT - thanks StrangeTrousers! Not fond of grass seeds, and had to "de-seed" my socks once back at the car But liked the surrounding area - nice to stop by rather than just driving past on our way somewhere else. TFTC Eynowd!
I decided to duck out for a bit of after work caching today around McKellar/Giralang. Nothing too ambitious as it was after 6pm by the time I hit the road. I parked the car at the Palmerville site car park & dragged the bike out of the car. Well this was a bit of an unusual one. I didn't bring my library card but left a rare ST pathtag. TFTC Eynowd.
This cache needs maintenance badly.
There are NO more clips so the lid is basically just sitting ontop.
This would make it very prone to any water when it rains and if the wind is strong enough it could just blow off!
I would hate to see all the books in here ruined.... there are quite alot of good books that people would pay for. Hopefully it is replaced very soon

Why did this even take me 2 minutes to find? Its not even hidden under anything haha!
I was facing the wrong direction looking in grass, when it was behind me the whole time!
Thanks

Nice easy find first thing in the morning. Took 2 books and left 3
Just looked at the 2 books I found and they are not registered with bookcrossing, so I'll register them and then release elsewhere

The cache is suffering from UV damage. It has only one flap left to hold down the lid. The other one came off in my hand.
It's a WEEK since my last cache trip!!! Horrors!! Withdrawal symptoms!!! Unhappy GeoSchnauzers!!! The working week was too fraught for caching. Yesterday, I wanted to go but the weather was horrible. Besides, a mate of mine came up from Melbourne to see Knightech and I, and a good dinner was had, with quality wines and scotches. Great night. I expected to feel a little second-hand this morning, but having slept to 10:00 am, I felt good. The day is fine if a little cold, with a keen breeze. Anyway, off to the northside for a few caches, and some walks for me and the GeoSchnauzers.
This one, number 8, is a park, dog walk, and grab. TFTC. It's a very pleasant area here.

I enjoyed this cache, as I am also an active bookcrosser. I'm giving this a favourite. There were six books in residence; three bookcrossing books and three non-bookcrossing books. As I will log and keep them moving, I took the bookcrossing books. I was tempted to take the non registered books and register them, but I didn't want to clean out the cache, so I left them behind. The lid has two broken clips and needs attention to seal properly. It's raining now, so I wouldn't wait to fix this; else the books might get wet. Great cache. TFTC.
Found 6:23 pm. TFTC. TNLN. Good size cache to drop things. I just forgot to bring something. But I'm keeping my streak going. Ride by bike.
Zipped up on the bike and went hunting around the general area until I found the right spot. Swapped a book and signed the log.... TFTC
A beautiful day in Canberra and great caching weather too. This is one that I found in the norther area that I had never visited before. Very pleasant area! TFTC
Out early this morning caring for some pets nearby. Didn't swap any books lots if birds out and a few fit people around. TFTC
This cache is chockers with books! I didn't trade anything, but had a good look through. There is a stinky dog poop right next to the cache which made it a bit gross... Hopefully that decomposes before the next cacher comes by. Thanks for the cache
No book to swap but I reckon I'll have to come back with something to trade. Easy find, TFTC!
Sunday 15 September 2013 - a cloudy, sunny and warm spring afternoon perfect for bike riding, walking and geocaching to achieve the 10,000 steps challenge for the day. The walk alone was 10km over 3 1/2 hours for 18 cache finds. Thx PaM. Quick & easy find. TFTC.

Lovely walk.. The books are a good idea. Had no book on us to swap.
Lots of birds and ducks to watch.
Fairly well hidden.. Rain or wind may expose though.

TFTC. Found it exposed with the lid off. Replaced lid and re-hid.claimed trackables to pass on to a friend heading overseas.
Swung by to pick up a TB I'd been expecting for six years, and to drop off one I'd hung onto for far too long. Grabbed a book while I was at it!
Came here today to drop off the TB that has completed it's journey, and it's clocked up quite a few Ks. Didn't have books to swap. TNSL. TFTC
Another one crossed off my 'to catch littleredshoes' list... almost there!
Reasonably straight forward cache... or so I thought!
Approaching ground zero noticed a muggle and his dog approaching from the Evatt side... the same one who I'd had to ditch over at Cons, Cattle, Cricket not 15min before... good grief! Same ploy... continue on past GZ, then double back once the muggle has gone well past.
Done!
A fair number of books in here at present, but didn't have any with me to swap today. TNLNSL TFTC

Travelled to the northside to drop off a TB (part of a geocache game). It was nice to see a decent size cache. TFTC.
Neat idea but no books for me to swap this far from home. Cache is surprisingly exposed but has obviously been here a while.
Cache was very exposed so I covered it as best as I could.
Very nice area that I didn't know existed. TFTC

I have ridden past this one multiple time on my way to scouts. So today while I was riding to house sit for a friend I had the spare time to come grab this one
#423 - 20:20; Noticed this one sitting unfound on the map surrounded by smilies, so I thought I'd better rectify the situation. Once I got to GZ, the find was pretty easy as the cache was sitting exposed in its 'nest'. Dropped a book into the collection on a once popular hobby, which is now mainly practiced by the older generation. Hope it finds a good home. The container is now full, so the next cacher may need to make a withdrawl before a deposit can be made. TFTC Eynowd .
Not really a reader. But this one topped off a great afternoon of caching. TFTC
As my namesake said in a previous log it is a bit exposed and I followed their example and tried to cover it as best I could. There are several books here at the moment for the readers. I collected the TB that was in the cache not realising that it is one of the "Two Towers" TBs. Unfortunately at the moment the "Two Towers" geocache is at risk of being archived. I will drop this TB off as soon as I can in the hope the cache will also live on.
Thanks Eynowd for the hunt and the cache. This cache has been my books to do for sometime.

A very easy find. As others have said, it is a bit exposed. Tried to cover it up as much as I could.

For reasons to complicated and boring to describe I am trying to increase the number of caches I have found in 2 D/T rating combinations. This one fits the bill, so here I am. Found at 11:27:00 PM. Last one of the night and thankfully it was home time. Very much over it. Sorry, no book for me.
An easy find. My GPS wasn't working properly, although luckily I could spot it from a fair distance away.

Cool cache Eynowd and only around the corner from us.

Lovely spot where this one is hidden. Found the cache pretty easy. It was a little exposed so placed heaps of natural camo all over it to blend in. Didn't swap or leave any books, just signed the log. Thank you Eynowd for the cache!
This one was sitting out in the open so I tried to put some pine needles over it for camo. Great idea, did not have a book though i may return with one at a later date
Wow this one is pretty exposed when you get to the location. Tried to cover it up a little to prevent muggles. TYFC
Another reattempt to find this one today. Found way too easily. Possibly not it its correct hiding spot but there was nothing to suggest otherwise.
