9.45pm. After some 13 years and some 500 log entries I think I should leave this spectacular site to someone else to place a new cache. Good luck.

Three eyes couldn't find.

Despite 3 (including one who has found it before) searching in a wide area we could not locate this cache.

searched but no luck

Heading to the far North for a few days rest & recreation via a round about route which brought us through the Waipoua Forest and the Hokianga. Had a quick look here but did not come up with the goods,

Don’t think it’s here after searching all the trees and places it could have been moved to in a 10meter or so radius, by the sheer size I think we would have found if it was where it was meant to be.

Awsome views, though really could not find it. Saw loads of people have used the area off track as a toilet. Let's leave this place better that how we found it

Great find, great view

Zweitletzter Tag mit Heckenstürmer in Neuseeland. Morgens die Koutu Boulders bestaunt. Da hat es echt ein paar Prachtsexemplare mit dabei. Danach einen kurzen Abstecher zum South Head bei Omapere gemacht und anschliessend noch eine letzte Wanderung um den Lake Taharoa gemacht. Einfach genial die blaue Farbe des Wassers.

TFTC... the easy walk... and breathtaking views!

Came out to Omapere with our tangata whaiora and I accidentally took the wrong track to everyone else and ended up at GZ instead lol... fancy that!

A nice easy find today once all the muggles had vacated the viewing area.

Awesome sized container that was nice and dry... guarded by muggles of the crawling kind. Left a wee bag of goodies. Plenty room for SWAG

Cache has been very popular today with me being the third person to visit it. Watch the hole on the track further back cos I fell in it while checking my phone for directions on how to get here. Unfortunately I fell onto my nicely stiched knee from a tangle with rock oysters this morning. Fortunately I had a crepe bandage on to protect it while I was caching. Mmm I must have known something!

Today we travelled from Rawene to Whangarei and picked up several caches along the way. We didn't stop at all of them, we couldn't find all the ones we searched for but we found a view and loved the places shown to us. That's what geocaching is about! Thanks to all the CO's for hiding and maintaining them!

Its Sunday - day nine -Kaikohe - Hokianga - area with The Seagnoid and Zara today. Toby and William at Motor Doctors again!

Its another epic 3+ week geocaching adventure with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and Willam to the Far North. What an amazing place to explore. Lots of walks, gravel roads and sand. Lots of amazing trees, beaches and interesting POIs. Lots of kilometers traveled by vehicle and foot. Vehicle breakdowns, making new friends and catching up with old friends and family. Snagged a couple of FTF's, lots of lonely caches and the odd event along the way. Lots of cache maintenance and replaced caches on this trip. But what an incredible adventure!!. Thanks to all the CO's who have made this trip so memorable..

Lots of muggles, but the cache is nicely off the track. I didn't note anything re why this has so many favourites. Did I miss something?

Out on a mission today, to collect as many caches as possible toward the Hidden Creatures souvenirs. With very few unfound local caches, a decent journey was required. Left at dawn and covered over 300km through the winding gravel back roads of Northland, passing through Twin Bridges, Donnelley's Crossing, Waipoua forest, Omapere, Opononi and Taheke, before the heavy rain finally set in. This heavy rain, combined with the sunset, put a halt to further searching, so had to settle in the end for 29 finds and 7 DNFs for the day.

At Omapere now, so time for a walk out to the headland and try for all three caches out here. GPS had pointed me a bit away from this one, but once the GC senses kicked in, the good sized cache was soon located. Had to duck down when a muggle came past, but was then able to sign the log and replace all safe and secure. TFTC

Amazing views on an amazing day. Took a while to find the cache. We were standing on it.

Some clouds were hanging on the dunes - best scenery to imagine how important this signal hill must have been.
It took a moment to understand the hint. But then...
And I needed some energy to get the box open. Probably the mist creates some problems for the box after quite a while out here...
