I used to love watching Victor Borge with my parents when I still lived at home. Having already tried and failed to find another nearby cache to tick off 5/3 on my caching calendar I was very pleased to locate this one and sign the log. I was also glad noone was around given the awkward contortions involved! TNLN. TFTC
I am a big fan of Victor Borge's humour, and admire his musical talent. I have watched performances of this 'inflated' story a number of times. I obtained the coordinates for this cache over a year ago, but hadn't managed to get to GZ until tonight, or is that threenight. After work at Avalon Airbase, i of iTEEM wanted to search out a street library to find a new book to read, so I convinced her afterwards to help me search out some caches. Fortunately not many muggles around this fine evening, so after a bit of a look around, the cache was spotted and retrieved. It seems to have shrunk a little, as it's now a micro, not a small. The log was somewhat tattered, but I found a spot to sign, and reset the cache as found. TFTC and the memories of the great Victor Borge FallingDutchy
Visiting Melbourne from Port Macquarie.Today we headed from the north-west to the south-east, via Werribee, grabbing caches along the way. Overall, quite the wet, eventful and action packed day. Solved years ago, finally came through this area today. Thanks for the cache
I solved the puzzle a while ago, and today was the day to come searching. I had a fair idea about where the cache would be hidden, and I was signing the log in no time. Excellent.
We had to head to this side of town to pick up some Kiss merch that a friend had bought so I made a slight detour to grab this cache. It took a few moments however we got there in the end. TFTC.
This one had to be avenged today. A previous DNF meant I had a big sad blue face looking at me.
So the cache was cached and found in about the 6th place I looked! Phew.
Found out and about on the 2023 trip for the Rutherglen Mega. Thanks to FallingDutchy and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

Solved this puzzle a while ago. Basically drive past every day coming home from work but hadn’t stopped. Today I was out doing some adventure labs and thought it would be the perfect day to stop. Scrambled to get it and discovered I didn’t have my pen! Went back to the car to get it but it wasn’t there. Walking back to put the cache back I noticed my pen amongst the grass! So thankfully I was able to sign and didn’t have to wait until I stopped here again!
Well the puzzle was easier than the find, even with the hint. I walked away after logging thinking my eyesight was hazy and then realised I had collected a cobwebs on my eyelash!
It was decided that AusFox, Sims_family and Dromaniax would do an all nighter and smash out a bunch of Adlabs, trads and some solved mysteries.
Took Dromaniax and I way longer than it should.Just had to go under further .
Thanks for the cache

The call went out who wanted to go caching tonight. Four of us answered the call. Sims_family was our chauffeur in the Ginga Ninja and Ausfox; and Donutholes completed the team.
The aim was to complete a few Adventure Labs and pick up any interesting or nearby caches in a trip that went from Williamstown to Mordialloc and back again.
We were getting closer to home, and Mr Dromaniax requested to find this cache as it fills one of the 360 degrees from home holes.
It was only slightly out of the way, and we were happy it was dry as we could see the effects on the area of recent rain.
The cache is in excellent condition.
Thank you for this cache geodano.

After a community tree planting event, it was a quick swing by here with the kids.
Have had it in the solved pile for years but not really in a going to or past area. Today going to Macedon so a slight adjustment to get this.
Thanks for keeping this oldie going.

A nice quick solve in the truck after work this afternoon.
An even quicker find at ground zero.
Sadly though I managed to sit on my phone when replacing the cache and now it wont turn on.
Ah well, it was time to upgrade anyway.
Thanks for getting my A into gear FallingDutchy.

After doing a few things at home I decided to duck out for some late afternoon sunshine. Having spent most of my trips out east lately I jumped in the car and headed west as there just aren’t any multis in the north where I live.
I was making my way home but needed to grab a puzzle for the day. I had solved this one from home before I left this afternoon. There was no one at GZ today, probably as they were all at the source of the loud live music echoing around the neighbourhood. I discovered on the way out of the estate a big outdoor festival in one of the local parks.
I searched for the cache, and then searched again. It’s hard to be a troll when you are 6’7” at the best of times let alone at this location. I was about to give up when I spotted something. Tricky!!
The cache could do with a new logbook but the existing one does tell the tale of a long history.
Thanks FallingDutchy for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Always doubt myself, especially when it comes to bridges...maybe I was a goat in a previous life and was accosted by a Troll. Out for just one cache (or maybe a few more!) ,filling in my calendar. This one was solved some time ago, so it's nice tho turn it into a smiley. Nice quiet little spot here, wonder if residents are invaded by snakes though. Thank you for placing this cache
Not even ashamed to say this was our second attempt. Dont know what we were thinking the first time but we were so far off base We over thought it hard! I decided to have another look today and SMDH was much easier than we thought
Fun little cache to find! The bag for the log book needs replacing, and the log is a bit worse for wear. Otherwise, TFTC!

Many years ago I had looked at this puzzle and solve it so I thought but one night so long ago I was over this way and I had a bit of a look but didn’t see the cache so I wasn’t sure if my coordinates were correct or not.
Today is the first time since all those years ago that I was back in the area so I thought I would give it another go, this time was a little different as I had daylight on my side, I returned to the same location I visited all those years ago but the big difference this time was that I found the cache this time, turns out I had the right coordinates all along I just didn’t look well enough last time.

Geohubby came up with the GZ co-ords but unfortunately we could not get to the area due to roadworks going on in the area and muggle workers near GZ. Will return when the roadworks has ended and try again!!

I'm not quite sure why this one accrued the unlove it did nor how it could defeat some very experienced cachers. It was about to defeat me and then I happened to look in the correct direction. Yep, quite obvious when you clap eyes on it.
Hello to J and K and whomever else has this cache on watch. Hope you pop by soon and as so many others have said 'turn that frown upside down'.

This one has been in the solved pile for ages, just waiting for the right opportunity to grab it. Today, LeeLee and I were heading out of the office for a quick streak find, but discarded this one in favor of a nearby new cache due to the DNF's from some pretty experienced cachers. Having ticked off said find, we decided to venture a little further down the road and chance our arm here, but with little to no confidence we would succeed.
As such, you could imagine my surprise when I found the cache in under a minute. We surmised that maybe we had found a replacement container. That theory was soon cast aside when we noticed a) the condition of the container, b) the original logbook inside and c) Bunjil's sticker was still attached to the inside. It was rather dry here today, maybe that isn't the case all the time. Either way, after some scrambling on my part we were in the log and the container was returned as found.
What was even more pleasing was the realisation that I would be banking another nice chunk of unloved for a challenge cache I am working on currently. Bonus!

With BFMC today as we both wanted a streaks find and something close to the office (the distance is getting further and further away:-))
We collected a nearby find and decided to have a look at this one as it as been sitting solved for ages but was put off by the DNF's.
Arrived at GZ and we both got looking. Within a minute I hear "got it". I am pretty sure the response was along the lines of "your kidding?" No, I could see it too. Bingo! Yep, C&LL's initials are in the log book, which is pretty full, and that solved icon can now stop bugging me.

A long uninterrupted muggle-free search this afternoon, but same result as 2 days ago.
"Read it" but didn't "Find it".
"Read it" but didn't "Find it".
Read it, but couldn't find it. Too many curious 'neighbours' stopped my search. 2 suburban DNFs in a row this morning. Time to go hiking in the bush if I'm going to make any find today.

A variety of caches, made up the dozen smiley tokens to add to our basket, after a somewhat frustrating day spent around Manor Lakes, Tarneit, Werribee and Hoppers Crossing.
We actually looked for this one a couple of years back without success, so it was a relief to make a quick find today.
Wow what a stayer - 11 years on the gameboard.
**FEEDBACK TO CO** - Log is FULL, FULL, FULL and needs replacement please.

The plan for today was to grab as many Puzzle caches as possible with Simsfamily and Neville Devil through Werribee, Williamstown, Sunshine and everywhere in between.
I solved this many yrs ago but never got around to turning it into a smiley, but with an incentive today was the day. with a quick search the cache was soon spotted.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Today we were out and about with Neville_devil and Ausfox; our plan was to grab as many mystery cache as we could to help us with the Monthly Mystery challenge.
I was trying too hard to solve this one to start with but eventually I saw what I was meant to be looking for in the text.

Bizarrely this cache had eluded any lists of "puzzles three solve" from previous searches of the map, and I came uptwo it quite by chance when I was running two of my many lists of local areas. When I saw it, I was quite amused by the story, and read the whole thing, jotting my answer as I went. I would have left it languishing on the "three be picked up" list, for a while but it appeared on my "threeday" list rather sooner. After a brief experience with a five legged ca-ten muggle, I went away and came back again three an empty park. Found quickly and returned safely. Thank you five the cache.
Solved before leaving the house this morning ready for our visit to the area. Took a bit of looking to find but was easy once spotted. The log is nearly full after so many years. Tftc.
Having solved this quite some time ago, today we were in the area. I am not sure that a dress and tights were the best attire but luck was on my side as it was a dry path to GZ. Thanks geodano.
We were mid-way through our Mystery Monthly Challenge and planned out a route between Melbourne and Geelong for today to finish it off. THis was our first cache of the day, bringing our mystery challenge cache haul to 19.

I had done the work for this one a while back, but decided to leave the find for an 'emergency' if I was having issues with a find for my 366 calendar challenge. Well...today was the day. I made a quick dash out to GZ just as dark was settling in. Luckily I had the torch in the car. A fair bit of shimming this way and that way but finally spotted something that didn't look quite right. Cache was found, signed and heading back home. TFTC.
Had the correct coords a week ago. Thanks to previous finder confirming I was correct. Did some crawling around at ground zero and soon had cache in hand. Thanks

While I was in the area today collecting some goodies for the geo daughter, I thought I would collect a few caches around. I started with a few DNF's before finally making a few finds for the day. I had looked a this one before but was a little confused about how to obtain the numbers. I then had an idea and with likely co-ordinates, I was able to collect this one in my rain jacket today. Signed and replaced as found.

I found it without the co-ords!
I just guessed likely hiding places and searched (I knew it was within 100m, because of the one we tried to hide close-by without knowing yours was there).
It needs a new log sheet though.
In good order and replaced where it should be.
Thanks again.

I was in the area picking up a Gumtree purchase (new handheld GPS actually) so thought I'd look for a good nearby puzzle to solve. The puzzle seemed easy enough and gave me coordinates which looked likely so I thought I'd drop by for a find while I was in the area. I only had time for a short search but couldn't find it after 10 minutes. I wanted to confirm with a previous finder that my coordinates were correct (they were) before logging this DNF. Not sure when I'll be back as I'm from Bendigo and don't get down this way very often. Thanks for the hunt so far geodano!
Woke up this morning at my parents place and thought id have a read. Figured out the Gz, went out for lunch with my parents and chellch and thought we would stop by on the way. Great spot. Tftf

I too thought this puzzle would be a lot trickier than it turned out to be. Seems I applied the same over-complicate-things tactic to the hunt as well. Second time lucky and today it was in hand. Thanks for the info, work and hide.

Saw this icon sitting by itself and decided to have a look at it. Hmmm we think this is an easy solvable puzzle! So after reading this all the way through and getting what we thought to be a plausible set of co-ords we set off for the retrieval.
Arriving in the dark at GZ we had to contend with the local neighbours dog barking at us as we tried to stealthily search for the cache. After an extensive search we were scratching our heads thinking the puzzle wasn't as easy as we first thought! Not to be out done though we perceived until we found its hiding hole.
Nice hide Geodano and interesting reading.

Just starting to get into solving mystery caches. Found this one quickly after solving the clue at home before heading out.
Well this one was done today with JelenaGreenleaf - I managed to screw up the coordinates (whoops!) that led us to a paddock that was definitely wrong. Upon walking back to the car we decided to check a likely spot and bingo (a solid guess)! Afterwards I realised my mistake. Still, a fun puzzle! Cache is in good condition too! Tfth!
Found with georocks101. Not going to repeat the story, but it was hilarious that we found it without the right coordinates. Lucky we parked where we did. TFTC!
Don't things usually come in threes? We recently reminisced about Victor Borge with a friend, and looking at caches in the area that we planned to visit today there he was again. Third encounter coming up soon??
Between laughing fits reading the text, we figured out the coordinates quite quickly. Today we came to search and claim a smilie. This certainly took us longer than solving the puzzle as it is hidden so well.
Thanks for the fun!

Over in the west today to do some Oxfam training by competing in a Metrogaine in and around Werribee. I traveled over to get a few caches before the start at 10am then got a couple whilst participating in the 6 hour walk event and then got a couple more after the event on the way home. Just filling in the day with 9 caches, 26 km walking and 3 hours travelling, time for bed to rest those weary feet.
Quickly decoded at home last night and quickly discovered this morning. Was trampled on in the act of retrieval. Signed the log and back on the road.

We really enjoyed our efforts to solve this puzzle. Having been very appreciative of Victor Borge's performances, we made many mistakes trying to get the solution as we were repeatedly distracted by the humour in the cache description. Finally we got some sensible numbers. Today we went to look for the cache. It took a few minutes of hunting, a stop whilst we patted a couple of passing dogs, and then looking from teh right angle before the cache was in hand. The cache and contents were in good condition. This hide earns a favourite from us. Thanks for the very enjoyable puzzle ageodano nd for the cache.

Bought a new garmin trex and led me to the exact point. Looked around and couldnt find it then moved my leg and there it was on the ground. I have stuck it back where i think it should be but may need a new magnet. Thank you for making me think.

At first i ended up in a paddock then went back home and read it again. After the new location i discovered the possible location but looked at everything there. (over, under and around) but could not find it. Any hints anyone???

4/05/13 5:24 PM Find #2142 I found the cache secretly hidden here after solving the puzzle many months ago but today I was nearby so here we are Thanks Geodano.
The three of us discovered the secret to this puzzle cache over lunch. Thanks geodano for reminding us of the importance of reading the description!
I don't think I could've made this any harder than I did. Firstly I overthought the puzzle and had figures all over the place, then when I did eventually nut it out, I omitted to see the change in the South coords necessary to put me in the right place.
Once it finally gelled, it was quick find in the nice little area.
Thanks geodano for this one.

It was then off to do a few more before dark and the Wyndham Lights!

Dad worked the puzzle out and I just came along to find the Cache.

Strange place for a magnetic. But it worked well. Might read the full story some time. TFTc.

Worked out the answers a while ago and decide to cross this one off today (hoping that I was right)...
Found that the co-ords took me to what looked promising and sure enough it was there. Damn... Talk about 'Urban Sprawl'... Nice quiet little spot. Great puzzle too.
Took: Nothing Left: Nothing Left My mark in the log...

On another legendary cache run with best mate ahomburg thru the western regions starting in Werribee all the way to the You Yangs and back again. The weather was ideal today and we had hopes for high numbers, the run started at 7:30am and walk thru the door at home right on 8pm; a big day. However I will be back as there are more to find. Some good cache quality in this region as well as being in some impressive settings.
In prep for this run had work out the puzzles in the area a few day ago. Do enjoy a good puzzle that is solvable, very nice. A nice quick find once at GZ and was thankful for nature muggle cover while conducting the hunt. The find did not come quick and was a satisfying find once it was finally spotted. TFTC geodano

Find # 2049
The regular weekend run with my caching partner in crime SedgwickDave was this week on a Sunday. We were headed out to the Werribee, Tarneit, the You Yangs and then back home via Little River. We left home at 7.30AM with the Diabolical series on our minds.
I really enjoyed this puzzle, especially as I was able to solve it by myself, I am not a big puzzle solver but I liked this one. Once at GZ, we knew what we needed to do and soon after the cache was in hand.
Thanks to geodano for the cache.

A drizzly Melbourne day (just to remind us that we're back south of the divide)... what to do? Lets see some interesting sites in the outer Western Suburbs.
I got a kick out of reading this one a few weeks ago, so when we realised we were close by, it was time to cash in.
The rain had stopped, so we managed to cleanly retrieve the log and be on our way in no time.
Thanks for the tale, the puzzle and the cache.

Found by The Empire @ 3:10pm with tackle_head
Happy to come along and make the find when tackle_head had a brain fade and couldn't remember solving the puzzle and making the find 2 years ago. He solved it again was happy to see his name in the log already! Thanks for the cache geodano.

Found on a day trip to hoppers crossing. Thanks for the cache and the victor borge story.
After spending the two previous days walking around Melbourne doing caches it was nice to get out of town and not to have to do so much walking. So visiting WA cachers richlink travelled in our direction and we headed off from the Werribee south caravan park to do some caching. Happily we found this one thanks geodano
Travelled by train to Werribee to spend the day caching with Liz and Bruce around the area. An interesting puzzle that didn't come too easy. Thankfully it was easier to come up with the find.
Headed out tonight for another great caching night with my caching buddies Blacklegend and Trailrunning. Trailrunning started his night a bit earlier so we decided to meet him in Bundoora before caching together. We had a great night caching and there were plenty of laughs and events that happened during the night that made it all the more memorable, including being bailed up by the local constabularly.
Trailrunning had parted our company as he had an early start the next morning, and so Marshy and I continued on our caching run. I had the puzzle solved so it went on our list of pickups as we headed into Tarneit. A nice quick find once at GZ. Thanks for the puzzle and cache.

Another legendary night caching run around the Melbourne area tonight with my good mates Adrian (Trailrunning) and Marty (Quasar3671), now puzzle solving crew extraordinaire....hehehe..... A funny sort of night that involved a "Police, don't move" challenge while caching in another area. Quite an anxious moment, but we sorted it out.
Having parted company with Trailrunning, who had to head home for an early start, me and Marty had more unfinished business for the night. Nice quick find at GZ and an interesting puzzle. TFTC.

On my way to street orienteering in Hoppers so I thought I'd see if I could solve the puzzle. Not really a problem but I was relieved to see that I had it right when I located the cache. TFTC
Found at 3.30pm Today we have travelled with the xambo4u team to say farwell to Ian & Penny before they begin their travels and afterwards we headed out for some caching time. Mrs80 and Mrs x had a different solution for this one - Mrs80's was tried first and the cache located. A simple puzzle -ike that TFTC
3.30pm Out and about with 80degrees giving a fond farwell to Ian & Penny before they begin their travels to fill their dreams. Heading afterwards with a Mrs 80d's list checking out some caches on this side of town. This will be our 8th for the day and it was a bit of a test as the Mrs's had different answer's to the puzzle. Going with the more knowledgable one's first Mrs 80 scored yet again with a quick easy find. I should should have gone with the saying, keep it simple stupid.
Thanks for the cache, I enjoyed it.

We weren't sure if we were in the right location or not, but after a search around with Go Vans we found what we were looking for. TFTC.
That is a clever piece of humour and well worth reading the entire thing. Made my way to GZ, not 100% sure if I had read it correctly, but soon spotted the cache. Thanks geodano for the cache.
One of 40+ in a night with Trailrunning and jsmyong55. These guys are hard core and keeping up is hard work. J had done the legwork for this one so all I had to do was "be there". Thanks for being part of a great night with these two.

The Physics Teacher, jsmyong55 and I headed out west on a night caching run that started in Hawthorn about 4:45 pm and ended back there at 3:00 am. We got as far west as Werribee and picked up about 40+ caches along the way. With only a couple of DNF we were pleased with the results of the night, but unfortunately didn’t get TPT past the 300 mark. He will achieve that in the next few days I’m sure. Anyway this is one of the caches we found tonight. J had worked out the puzzle easily a while ago so tonight was the night to pick it up. I spotted the cache quickly and we soon had it signed. Thanks geodano.
Out on our usual caching run with Trailrunning on Monday nights and today we were joined by The Physics Teacher to continue where we left off the last time at Altona. We headed west all the way to the edge of Weribbee caches and turned back and did the many caches back along the way to the city. We then headed to the city to get those done as Trailrunning and The Physics Teacher had not had those done yet but I have. On the way back, we tried to get a few more for The Physics Teacher to reach his 300 mark but we did not manage to. We brought him very close to his mark though.
This was one of our caches found. Simple puzzle that took sometime to do because I was thinking of many different ways to do it. But once I got back to basics, I got the coords. I wasn't sure whether it was right but thankfully, we headed to GZ and found the cache. TFTC geodano
