We are always on a hunt for some treasure exchanges, so the little ones have fun too. A bit of a challenge for the kids at the last bit .Thanks
A little bit of a trek through the lantana. Easy find if you use the name as a hint. TFTC
I found this in my rambles,Well-guarded by brambles. But try as I might,The lid was much too tight!Only one hand! Tftc
Found it! Actual GZ is about 10m away from posted coords. Found the cache because of the rock mentioned in the cache name. Thanks for placing the cache!
Little detour to this cache while walking the Kitty Gorge trail
Unfortunately lots of blackberry bushes here at the moment.
Cache is in good condition however

So, while in the area, in the late of the night, we took the blue trail…..with axell33 we headed to the vicinity of gz. All was well until we left the path to make our own way. After what seemed a long, difficult time we got within 10m of gz. A long, slow search amongst that mongrel blackberry was trying to say the least. We expanded the search and finally axell33 made the call, it took a while for me to get to where he was and we made our mark. Once out of that mess and on the trail again I felt a bit better and grateful that we did find it! I was a good walk for us. Cheers for this challenging hide, they are needed every now and then!
We were in the Jarrahdale area hunting a new cache and decided to do some night caching in the area before heading back down the hill. I really enjoy the forest of a night time, it’s so peaceful. We were about 50m off gz when we left the trail follow a roo track. The closer we got to gz the more the blackberry become a hindrance. We searched for about 20 minutes before making the find. We added our names to your log and returned your cache back to where it lives. This one certainly was a challenge but wonderful out here this time of night. TFTC nad069
Headed out this way today with *leaskwashere* to walk the very enjoyable Stacey's Track. I knew we'd be passing close to a trio of caches so we also made sure to stop off and pick them up along the way This was the first we visited. Even at this time of year it wasn't long after we started the diversion over to GZ that the brambles made their presence known. Can imagine this being quite tough in the summer. Spent a few minutes searching around at GZ... made longer as *leaskwashere* confidently said he'd searched a particular spot... only for me to find the cache right there when approaching from a different direction! We got there in the end though All ok here today - TFTC
Today, with the afternoon free, and the sun shinning, I thought that I would travel a little further afield and drive some of the track in the forrest around the Serpentine and Jarrahdale. Brilliant sunshine, and the temperature just right. Off to get some new and old caches
The walk down hill was easier than the return. Cache was in really good condition

Thanks nad069 for bringing me to this location and taking the time to hide and maintain this cache. I found the cache at 16:16:00. This was my Find 20 for today out of a Total number of 22 Finds and 1 DNF for for this Caching Outing. The cache was found in Good Condition and I signed the log and returned the cache as I found it.
This find brings my total number of Finds to 5347.
This one has been on our radar for about 5 years but I did not think that I was up to it. However its a nice day, the knees are feeling good so we gave it a go. What a lovely walk! We met quite a few muggle families enjoying the great outdoors. Thanks for the tip about brambles at the end, we wore long trousers & shirts & were pleased that we did. Thoroughly enjoyable. TFTC
A quick find with Upnaway82. Lots of thorn scratches on our legs to thank us for our efforts. TFTC nad069
After a sprinkle of rain, the bush bash to GZ wasn’t easy. Lots of blackberries and I bled to get this cache. To top it off, I had a tick trying to burrow in my leg. A tough one.
Thanks nad069 for placing and maintaining this cache. Out and about with Barnzy12 getting a few smily faces.
Headed out with Leg5 today to cleanup the last 5 caches I had near the Jarrahdale area. Being a bit of a walk some pre planning was involved with ensuring I could leave work early.
Met in Armadale and made the drive down in convoy. Parked at the cemetery and made the trek around to the 5 caches and managed a quick find of them all. We enjoyed the scenery and the quietness of the place with only some kangaroos and birds rusting in the bushes and trees.
Thanks to the COs for a great afternoons bush caching.

Went out early today to get my daily exercise and you wouldn’t believe how many other people would be doing the same .!!!!! Thanks to all the CO’s in the area . All caches are in good order
Morning walk in Jarrahdale along Stacey's Track. Grabbed as we past by, the wild roses grabbed us also.
Thanks nad069 for the cache.
Thanks nad069 for the cache.
Bit scratchy through the blackberries getting to the cache. Then I struggled getting a good gps reading so walked a bit further and did more circles than I had to. I really should have paid more attention to the name of the cache and my search would have been shorter. Thanks for taking us on this beautiful walk through the bush.
A reasonably quick find here after battling with the brambles . Awesome spot for a cache though and a fave point from me [^]
I was fortunate to be able to head to this area today and grab some of the around here, which makes a change from finding places to hide caches. I had a great time exploring places I hadn't been before and really enjoyed the walks .
nad069 - jinta29 found your cache Forest rock on 28/7/17, 10:27 am. This is my find #8234 and find #4 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Headed north on a Mothers Day caching foray to tackle some of the Civilisation series in Jarrahdale and grabbed a few others en route. Quite a few muggles out enjoying the fair weather before the predicated rains hit. Followed the track to the boardwalk then headed bush. Last 60 mts was tough - rocks to negotiate and the rampant, vicious blackberries. Very happy to make the find and returned to car intact. Thanks nad069
A nice cool afternoon for a bush walk with WebblyWA. Having found Goora Falls, we made the decision to go on to this one. We greatly enjoyed the sounds of birds and the tall trees recovering from a bushfire, possibly last year. The last bit of the trek was a bit harder, mainly due to blackberries which unfortunately have grown on the way. WebblyWA made the find again, and it was fun to look through the contents of such an old and intact cache. TFTC nad069!
After finding Goora Falls, and enjoying the cooler weather m4yb and I decided to keep walking and go for another find. The black cockatoos accompanied us on the journey along with a couple of Western Red kangaroos which were stopped nearby. It was an easy walk in until we crossed the bridge, the last 60m was a bit more challenging due to the wild black berry invasion that had grown all over what was left of the paths. The cache was an easy spot and sat on the forrest rock while we SL and looked through all contents. I love these old caches where so much of the content remains intact. Kind of miss the old 'cachers cards' people used to have before the days of path tags. Was a great spot and its such a shame Gooralong reserve has been abandoned. Old bench seats remain as does the boardwalk and a few tree signs. TFTC nad069 a fav point from me despite the blackberries, if the next planned reduction could remove them it would be perfect.
Enjoyed the walk down to this one immensely. Sunshine, wildflowers, birds, picturesque location, accompanied by the one and only IQO. We hadn't been caching together in such a long time, so it was great to walk and chat, reminiscing about previous adventures. Lots of laughs along the way too. Thanks for the cache nad069
A lovely day spent walking through the bush tracks of Jarrahdale with Mistraluna enjoying all the sight and sounds of the area.

Great day for a walk through the valley. The blackberries proved a bit of a challenge for the geokids but with a bit of persistence we soon had the cache in hand. TFTH
We stopped in this area to grab a couple of extra caches on the way home after completing the nearby 4WD series.
A bit of a bush bash but thankfully we had long socks on as the blackberries were rampant.
After signing the log we found an easier route back to the main path.
Thanks for the cache nad069

Second attempt to find. Last time had my 4yo on my should so couldn't get close. Bring good foot wear when wet
Headed out for a few hours to Jarrahdale for some bushwalking through Kitty's Gorge & Gooralong Park... After walking the gorge, we were on a bit of a mission to find the rest of the caches in the area This was the last find for the day & we bashed our way from the previous cache! The bush was a lot more dense here & also a lot steeper, but we made it with out incident
Once at GZ, we stopped to catch our breath before starting the search! We started searching some distance away when I headed back to where we had first stopped & found it right where I had been sitting... TFTC nad069 Now, I hope we can find a track somewhere leading us back to the car!!!

Another fortuitous cache find as we were exploring in the area today. Went for a stroll around the loop and realised that there was a cache close to it, and that it would be easy to get to. Indeed it was, and a quick find. Signed log, thanks for an enjoyable cache in a lovely area. Signed log, TFTC!
Had warning about blackberries - they were OK - just a little slippery with all the rain
Out with geohubby today to put smiley faces on some green boxes in the Jarrahdale area.
Drove to within 195m from the back of it. It was quite steep at times and the blackberry bushes kept trying to hold me back but I got there in the end. I really should remember to look at hints as it would have saved me probably 6-7mins of fruitless searching, which is fine if you don't have blackberry bushes wrapped around your legs. Once I read the hint it was a very quick find, now to make my way up the hill. Have had a great workout today

Nice little trek through the bush in the rain with helbren and my geo family, tftc
TFTC nad069 - Yes, it was difficult to navigate through the blackberries and yes, they will be a huge problem if they continue to grow around that area. The clue was very helpful in the find. Signed log, TNLN.
MMMMM, another one that I wish I had read the previous logs before attempting. I too succumbed to the nasty blackberry vines and have the scratches to show for my fruitless search. I searched everywhere amongst the rocks and thorns, widening my search as I went. But no smiley face for me here. Dash it, only three more to reach my 1000 too. Oh well, another day maybe.... Thanks nad069
Great spot for the cache and a lovely walk. But oh the blackberry. Not for the faint hearted and unfortunately it looked like a young thicket. So in a few years time we will be glad it is not on our to do list! Or maybe they will have perfected a blight that eats only blackberry. I hope!
Took us a little scrambling - I'd forgotten what blackberry could get like in the rainy season here! - but found it at a lovely spot. TFTC
Found after a couple of minutes searching. Nice spot for a hide. SL. TNLN. TFTH nad069
While scouting out some caches in the Gooralong valley we checked this one out. I am glad I had long pants on, the Blackberry thorns are very nasty here. Even taking the suggested route did not make it any easier. Found the cache quickly, SL and carefully made our way back to the trail. Where is the Brushcutter/Secateurs Attribute? TFTC Nad069
Out with Keego and Chil to find your clever hide. The blackberry bushes have become very active and if not carefull pain happens. Now I know what the meaning is of wild bush.
Thanks for the ouch ouch cache

After the end of the Manjedal Geocaching Event headed off on a short Cache run with Felix and Mickeydv.
We decided to park NW of the Cache and head cross country by foot to GZ, unfortunately we encountered every obstacle nature could throw at us... found the Cache OK on arrival, but then had to face the long walk back up the very steep incline through the thick thorny vegetation !!!!
I think it would be wise to follow the instructions on the Cache listing and enjoy the longer but certainly more idyllic
walk to the Cache that it suggests.

Down in the deep south for the Event at Manjedal with The Machman and Mickeydv.
Hmmm well I was driving and following TomTom who managed to get us within 200mts of the cache, which didn't seem like a long way until it turned into a vertical descent!
Luckily the guys had already volunteered to find the cache, so when the going became a bit strenuous for my bad knees they generously carried on to log the find for all of us. I did however wait in the sun rather than the air conditioning and supplied cold drinks on their return! (does that count for something?)

Mucked up today... This should have been our first and do the circuit, but somehow it didn't work out that way, Got back to the car and realised we had missed this one.. Only 600m from where we parked, Mum decided she wanted a cuppa so while she relax daughter and I made a dash in, GPS didn't like the spot initially and in the end while I was letting it settle down I spotted something suspicious.. Bingo.. Just watch the prickle vines.. TFTH

After doing the LKA Jarrahdale cache we set off on a walk through the park to do the other caches in the area. This was the last cache we did.
Found without problems just on dusk so now the walk back up the hill to the car is in the dark.
Thanks for the cache.

Left the 2 vagas 5000 keyrings.
Its was a great way to start the day.

Whew, what a hard cache to get to! I felt it needed a higher terrain rating after scratching my legs on the thick brush and blackberries
But I found it with the help of the hint as my GPSr said GZ was 12m away, thanks for the tip

This was one of 5 caches the Albany Canucks looked for while doing the Stacey's trail loop with Team Swartsies. It's a nice walk through some jarrah bush. The cache was a surprising distance off the main trail, and required some bush bashing to get to, at the cost of some scratched legs! But we found it eventually without too much difficulty once we got to GZ. Did some small swaps, left a penny, and left the Anjing travel bug. TFTC.

Found around midday - quick find before lunch and further walking south along Gooralong Brook.
Stacey's Track is a really lovely cool and interesting walk at this time, really enjoyed it today with the family. We didn't take the same route in to the cache as was obvious for the exit, as is so often the case.
Signed log, thanks for the cache nad069!

Spent too long looking under the wrong tree which was shielded by a very prickly bush. Found it in the end, but my hand has too many cuts and scrapes.
Found with McquillanB and a friend who we were introducing to the world of geocaching.
Unfortunately the in car gps told us to park on Robinswood only 200 odd metres away this meant we had to bash our way thru the bush a bit but it provided a good base to find the three nearest caches.

We didn't have a map or notes with us so we think that we approached the cache from the wrong angle, a bit of a fight with the wild roses but we got there in the end. TFTH. Took the Dartmore GC but didn't see the Ninja.

Team Aries67 Teenage Son found this one today - his first time out and his second find! Nice climb! GPS took us in circles for a bit (pay attention to the hint!) and watch out for wild roses grabbing at your ankles this time of year.
Totally agreed with sentiment of previous Cacher "Now just have to find our car!"
Being Anzac Day we left an Anzac Pin and took some craft beads.

Resorted to old fashioned tools... eyes and instinct.
A good find though and thoroughly enjoyable.

GPSr was undecided on the approach. This led to many, many encounters with blackberry bushes. Found it eventually...one of the team was having a rest and sat down nearly on top of it. Picked up the Pathtag for onward placement. Thank you nad069.
As it was getting dark we had some problems finding it, but it wasn't too hard to find.
Well, I thought this was relative smooth sailing when compared with AlliedOz's adventure but a couple of caches later I got a look at my bloody legs from those blackberry bushes. Ah well, no pain no gain. A lovely trail and fun cache. Thanks!
For our second cache of the day, we made our way along the creek and got to the cache reasonably quickly. Thought the coordinates put us about 7m away from the actual location though.

Today is AlliedOz B'day and what did he wish for? Caching and lots of it! So an Annual Leave day was booked at work and an early start to head down south for a full days walking and better yet caching!
We walked in from the top for this one along a nice wide road, it was when we went bush things got interesting, the blackberry bushes made themselves known about 1/2 way down and then it was complicated further by rather large bull ant nests dotted over the hillside so we avoided them as best we could, these are the ones with the HUGE pincers, check out my gallery for previous encounters.
Once we had signed the log, down was looking more appealing than the walk back up the hill. We followed the trail until it started to veer away from where we parked and decided to cross the small creek that was running rather fast due to all the recent rain.
From there it was a bit of a walk back to the car but along the foot path of the main road, in all it took about 90 minutes to do with two young-uns in tow.
TFTC it was a wild one for us.

The last of 3 for the day. Great walk through the bush. Scrabble scrabble through the scrub, scratched by the prickles, the tuneful wail of the geo4-year-old in the background. Geokids loved this walk the best of the day, played in the fallen giant. Great end to a fun day in and around Jarrahdale.
We love this area and while walking along Stacey's Track we decided to find this one. Watch out for the blackberries, they are a bit nasty. Found the cache okay, Took nothing, signed the log and left a balloon, a coin and our calling card.

I drove up to the gate, and it was open. But there was also a road closed sign, lying on the ground. So, I didn't want to chance it and parked the car and walked/cycled in.
The last bit was a bit tricky, to get down the hill to the actual cache, and the blackberries were shredding my legs. There was also lots of bull ants I had to watch out for - we don't get along well.
Found the cache quite easily once I got to GZ. Didn't see the TB in the cache though. No swaps, thanks for the cache and the lovely forest walk.
