No CO response in 4 months & cache hasn't been found for 12 months. Needs archiving!

05-Oct-15
We searched for a long time on this one today. After a while we read the notes and concur with others.

02-Aug-15
Gave up after not too long due to mini-cacher getting bitten by mozzies.

11-Jun-15
Hmmm. So obviously this one needs some maintenance. Smile

09-Jun-15
CO has not responded to request to attend to this cache. It's been well over six months since last find with seven DNFs during that time.

08-Jun-15
Nope. It's either gone or coords are wrong.

28-Mar-15
We were determined to find this one and searched for 'ages'. Alas we had no luck.
For only 1.5 star D/T rating we are thinking it isn't there any longer.

07-Mar-15
Couldn't decide on an area to look, so we decided to call it quits after being bitten by about a million mosquito's. Seems there have been a few DNF's recently too.

23-Feb-15
We had a good look around here today while finding a nearby cache. Unfortunately couldn't find the cache.

07-Feb-15
No luck today. Spent over 45 minutes searching a reasonably wide perimeter around GZ. CO needs to check it out.

14-Oct-14
Found what I am certain is the cache spot... Have a feeling this one has been muggled Sad

11-Oct-14
Didn't find it today despite spending quite a while looking for it. Saw a few spots that looked cache-worthy but unfortunately no luck today. Will be back again to have another look.

29-Aug-14
Nice quick find

24-Aug-14
Down for the day with kestal's to pop into an event and then hit a power trail. We made the quick find, but there were no tbs in cache. Tftc

24-Aug-14
Out and about with angloj on a beautiful winters day. We took the long way home to grab a few more caches. We drove up the road towards the reserve only to meet another coming the other way....definitely not enough room for two passing cars! Pulling the car we jumped out and walked down the track until the numbers stopped going down. As we headed in we thought we spotted the likely hide but no such luck Sad but after a brief search we had the cache in hand and we were able to sign the log. TFTC robynk

28-Jun-14
Out for a country drive sans jaunty cap and on a secret mission.

This was an easy find with the hint and, I guess, limited places to hide a cache Smile

Lovely wetlands if very dry today. I enjoyed walking through this isolated reserve. The vegetation is quite unique. Pretty sure I'll drop in here when next out this way.

Sorry couldn't see any trackables here Twisted

29-Jul-13
Nice easy search in the bush land, absolutely beautiful area, thank you for bringing me here!

10-May-13
This cache was my second today after finding the close cache, however had to rest between the two in the information board area as a large storm came through as I was at the first cache and I had to run back to shelter as I was getting very wet. Found at 3pm before driving to the airport for a return flight home tonight and was surprised to find the Hippo TB here, so I think he needs a trip south.. TFTC robynk, I saw that yours was the first cache in this peaceful nature trail area. I did not even know this was here, and I really did enjoy the quiet walking after a busy week.

04-May-13
Thanks for the Cache dropped off TB Hippo. Thanks for bringing us here TFTC

18-Feb-13
Found with katieeb.
I never knew this little place was here! Fairly easy to find but a little challenge.

11-Feb-13
Chasing down a couple of caches in this neat little reserve. Approached GZ and soon spotted a likely spot. Bingo! As I was leaving I sat on some seats along the boardwalk to have a rest and enjoy the surroundings. I had been there 5 to 10 minutes when suddenly I realised there was a family of kangaroos sitting nearby (within 10 metres) watching me closely. What a great experience to see nature close up. I moved off after a while and they continued grooming themselves as if I didn't exist. Wonderful. Thanks robynk

04-Feb-13
Yes I agree with Aussie Liahona that this was a very pleasant nature area we visited today. Loved our drive through the country we travelled today. Thankfully it's after the rains and the roads were clear.

04-Feb-13
Wow! What a nice place this is. And, the added bonus of a couple of caches. We took a walk along the path and then a little detour and we had ourselves an approximate GZ. Tried a number of areas that the clue applied to and didn't find what we were looking for. Then, something caught my eye, and we had ourselves a cache. Inside the container was a bit damp but the log book was dry. We signed and rehid the cache as we found it. Thanks robynk for bringing us here.

23-Jan-13
GPS led us straight to GZ

nice sturdy container

30-Oct-12
Absolutely loved this reserve so a massive thank you for bringing me here... Also enjoyed the cache name. Contents looked in good nick and the cache looked nice and safe so i left a TB to continue its travels and hopefully entice even more visitors out to this lovely little part of our diverse country. Also, my son loved the huge grey kangaroos that seemed to be at every turn (as did I!). TFTC and the experience Smile

Out and about with Brother Colin and teamdfl, on a rainy day.

Loved the name of this cache. We had an easy walk through the park, and the find was easy, too. All in good condition. TFTC, robynk.

12-Aug-11
Hint about 'in hollow log' slightly misleading.Smile
As I had left all my info at home and had to rely Mr. Garmin to guide me, I was in no position to be misled. Just looked for something that didn't look quite right, and "presto" there it was. TNLN

After just completing Charlie D I wasn't too keen on doing any more hikes so I decided a nice pleasant walk was what I needed Smile It was a nice walk on the boardwalk and after a quick search the container was located. I grabbed the coin and I will move it on shortly. Thanks robynk Smile

After a short drive and a short walk this one was next on the list. We took the track within a few metres fo the cache then headed in. It reasonbly easy to spot but well hidden. The log was quickly signed as it was passed around anti-clockwise which i am told is much more efficient Smile cheers to robynk for this one.

12-Jul-10
On my way home with Alkzura from the Christmas in July event in Stanthorpe. Our ap and Tom Tom maps were a bit confused, but still got us to where we needed to turn into the GZ. A hidden spot with very little fanfare, but just lovely once you get in there. Found the cache with no problems, especially since there is a well worn geotrail to it. Hope that doesn't cause any problems in the future. TFTC

12-Jul-10
These are the sort of places you wouldn't know existed with the cache being in the location. We were a little confused at the entrance, however soon noticed we were definately in the correct spot.
GZ was found after a lovely walk down the provided path. Enjoyed the walk and the information provided along the way.
Cache was found without problem.

This was my 450th cache.

TFTC.

It was almost sundown when we arrived but we decided that we had enoght daylight to track it down.

Luckily it was a simple find. An interesting spot. I wonder who lobbied to get the funding for the infrastructures?

The don't seem to get the use they deserve.

20-May-10
Found it No. 2704 ... easy find ... TN and left Chinese Coins

08-Apr-10
Found at 1030Hrs. We arrived at GZ to find an Ipswich council worker doing a plant survey nearby. So we had a chat to her and found out some interesting things about the vegetation and some other local spots worth visiting. Then back to the car for a cuppa and a bit of wait for her to move on before the find. This area certainly has a very different environment. TNLN.
Thanks robynk.

Hi, I’m “stellbell 67†and I have been caching as a member of StormyKnights. My brother and I have decided to create our own log-in to reflect accurately how many caches each of us have found (not that we are competitive – hardly!).... Twisted

Therefore this entry has been added retrospectively.

What a lovely place to visit. I would never have known it existed if it weren't for Geocaching! Smile
Even though I was expecting the rubber spider, it still caused me to throw the cache, my pen, and my GPSr when I opened it. Some rather un-repeatable words also echoed around the otherwise peaceful surrounds. Geo-Kids laughed for a full ten minutes.... Twisted
Temptation was too great for Geo-Son, who swapped the spider for some tattoos.

Also grabbed 'Antoine Travel Express Geocoin' to move along.
