Embark on a very special journey, the 23km coastal trail from near the Westgate bridge to Skeleton creek takes you past the maritime historical precinct of Williamstown, botanic gardens, sandy beaches, wetlands with internationally important habitat, site specific public artworks, and spectacular buildings.
This marker is the Stately beginning for the Strand where across the road, one of the grandest Strand dwellings at No.68 was the former home of MP James Styles, one of six local senators elected to our first Federal Parliament in 1901. His prestigious home is now a part of Williamstown Grammar School.
