Gallery of log for Dundas Area
Found today at ~1300hrs after a steep climb up from the road. A *FTF* as well!
It was only about 500m as the crow flies, but the height gain made it a rough slog in the midday heat. The fact that I was carrying my little girl on my back, made it a tad tougher...
This was the first Trig Point that I have found. Disappointingly, it is only a white painted star picket set in concrete. There did not appear to be any identifying marks or metal disc set in the concrete. There are rocks strewn around the general area - I wonder if they were once stacked up as some sort of cairn.
There was, however, a nice breeze and views out to Wivenhoe. I enjoyed the climb and the view; and my little girl had fun too. Thanks for posting the virtual.
