Description
Round these parts, most of the coast line is packed with people, shops and over commercialisation - still awesome places though. Dont get me wrong - but sometimes we all need a bit of down time. Somewhere to get away from the rat race and live simply again. Weather it be for a few hours or a few months - there are a handful of spots left that offer some seclusion and that not many people know about yet. Some of the roads to these locations are terrible, but they are all still accessible with a 2WD. The Pacific Highway is 30 minutes away - too far for most to detour in and explore. These hidden spots are not on the way to anywhere either. You come here on purpose.
All of these caches are located on the coastline in the Clarence Valley dragonZone. There's plenty more beautiful spots inland - but today we're going to the beach!
Geocache Locations
|
Many of these locations have 4WD access tracks close by so you can bring your rig right onto the beach. Most beaches in the Clarence Valley require a permit to drive on though.
There is a challenge cache associated with this tour though it's not a particularly difficult challenge. Just a bit of fun really, but in an interesting and beautiful location. The caches have all been designed to blend into their environment, and most are hidden in plain sight. Some are listed as being 'other' in size due to the fact the logbook compartment of the cache may be small, but the method of concealment is regular in size. There's a couple of regular sized containers in the mix too - packed with goodies.
But the real reward is the location. These caches will bring you to some beautiful places and you'll probably spend more time looking and exploring these amazing spots than you will cache hunting. Hope you enjoy your tour of the Clarence Coast!
