I stopped by the park again today,
some 9 and a half years after I found this cache Very Happy
Guess what ??
It is still in its hiding place Very Happy
A bit rustier than I remember it,
but perfectly findable in every way Clapping

The cache appears to be MIA so we'll archive this cache to stop it turning up in the search lists. If the cache owner can confirm the cache is in place they can resurrect the listing by placing an unarchived log against it.

09-Jun-16
Found a rock with the indication that the hole had been concreted in so assumed it had been muggled. It was raining so could not do a thorough search. Will have another look later.

01-Apr-15
Excellent hide. Loved it. Stopped for fuel across the road and took the chance to stretch the legs.

29-Mar-15
Great to see such an old GCA cache still in place and going well. No problems with the neat hide...and the log was soon being signed.

Good fun cache and worth a *Recommended* for it....

Thanks Postman Pat.

Nice hide. Found with hubby. Sadly, it was too easy to find as it had fallen out of it's hiding spot - lucky it hadn't been muggled away to the tip! The park maintenance people must know what it is. We tried replacing it in a way that it would stay put, but not sure how long that will last, sorry.

TFTC, nice park, made me want some Pringles Wink

18-Jul-14
On my way to Canberra from Brisbane and stopped to stretch my legs. Found this one while looking for another cache. Nice little cubby hole.

30-Aug-13
Found with Just a Cacher as we make our way homeward from our northern escape.

A quick park and grab here today as we continued our tour on the way back home. The cache could do with some TLC.

Thanks for the cache Postman Pat.

30-Aug-13
Found with Black Bunny on our long, long caching trip.
Cache rusty. Log damp.
Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find!

01-Jul-13
Such a long time since this one was found. A quick find in the dark on the way to the free camping spot at the lookout. The log book was a bit damp which was a bit surprising considering the location and the great container. Thanks, one of the few in the area we managed to grab in the dark.

06-Aug-12
That was bigger than we expected! A made-to-measure hide. Always thought this park should have a cache ... and it does. TFTC Postman Pat.

07-Jul-12
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of this cache. However, retrieval to sign the logbook was another matter. After removing the various animals that were in the hide location, we still couldn't extract the cache. We resorted to getting our caching kit out of the car and one tool in partcular proved very useful. Once the logbook was signed, we returned the cache to its hide. The contents of the cache were somewhat damp but the logbook was just signable. TFTC

02-Oct-11
Was a bit concerned this was going to be passed up as a car was parked next to GZ but it was empty. Found quickly but the tin was stuck in place with all manner of snails, slugs, goo and muck, but the contents were clean and dry. Tin propped back in place. Thanks.

TFTC and the let.

A quick find in the perfect spot for it! Thanks Postman Pat

31-Dec-10
It didn't take me long to work out where the cache was Very Happy but it seems a LOT of ants had also worked it out and discovered how nice and dry it was there Shocked Great hide, thanks

10-Oct-10
Thanks for that wily hunt. A unique way to hide a cache.
That cache container is the perfect diameter.
When spotted I moved my car to conceal getting it out etc
TNLN
BTW - I was wishing I had some spares - the log is getting damp du 2 the plastic bag now being a bit torn.

Hahaha clever. Even in the dark I was impressed, havent seen this type of hide before... not bad considering I hit 900 finds today Razz Lots of GCA in the area, like it! Cheers from Sydney.

15-Jun-10
Clever! I like it... Lots of cars parked in the driveway - must have been a big lunch on at the nearby restaurant. Managed to extract, sign and replace unhindered. TFTC

28-Nov-09
Heading north to Brisbane for work, but time was limited so hadn't been looking at many caches around here as needed to push on to Armidale before it got too late. Stopped here to fill up, turned the unit on to find what was near and hey - there is a cache over the road. Found after a short search, quite devious. Thanks Postman Pat.

14-Nov-09
On a road trip from NSW to QLD - We stopped for some very expensive petrol (The next petrol station up the road was 5c a litre cheaper however only discovered this after we filled up LOL). Took a stroll to stretch my legs in the park accross the road with the fountain.

Maverick 4X4 mentioned to me that he remembered there was a cache somewhere in the park and so I started snooping around. Did not have GPS so it made it a bit more interesting - Found a hole with a stick protruding??? I moved stick and low and behold a canister fell out!! Cache found, signed. Took nothing - left live aligator Razz - Thanks for the well placed cache - made the little rest stop all the more interesting Very Happy

28-Jun-09

06-Jun-09
A well concealed cache that is easy to spot when you knowit is there.
Well done Postman Pat

01-Feb-09
On a hot day the fountain was running and making cooling noises as I poked around for the cache.
I moved something and suddenly, there it was !!

Ha, ha, ha. In company with gerrynewgirl who was still reading the hint as I got out of the Troopie, this was an easy find. I was wondering however, just when the cache container was going to be fully recovered as it seemed to extend forever.......... TFTC Took geocoin and left token.

21-Oct-08
weroamin rushed to this cache and came up with the goods just as I alighted from the geomobile. TFTC.

27-Sep-08
A welcome stop after coming down the fairly steep hill.

Dropped off Maxx's Geonut TB, not knowing at the time that it was a GCA cache. Oops.

Thanks for the cache.

18-Sep-08
Stopped off for this one on way from Armidale to Tamworth. Didn't take long to locate, got surprised by the big spider that came out with it!

Cheers Barcoo.

17-Jun-07
We stopped here just for fun, the kids found this one within a couple of minutes. Find 6 for the day - and the last.

An excelent hide.

Cache is in good condition, no signs of moisture zip bag has small holes in it, I am sure it will not be a problem.

Pressy

This is a beaut little park which is very popular with muggles stopping by for a lunch or driver break. We found the cache with no difficulty but putting it back caused some challenges as someone who was waiting for a bus was standing across the road looking right at us and GZ!

TNLN (eventually!) SL TFTC.

04-Feb-07
With replacing the Cache the Kids Wanted to run around and play so while they where doing this I went exploring and found the original container so put the original container back in. The cache was at least 30 meters away and put in a similar hidy hole

23-Jan-07
Located the spot where the cache was meant to be. I let Postman Pat know that the cache was missing, he told me to log it as a find and he would archive it.

03-Jan-07
About five minutes in stealth mode was sufficient to bag the prize. TNLN.
Good spot for a fatigue break.
Thanks Pat.

11-Oct-06
Great hide! This was a real surprise. Took Sylvanian Families Bear and left dinosaur + bubbles.

TFTH! Smile

09-Sep-06
Clever hide, searched for a while then gave up. Just as I was leaving a BP worker came over and suggested I look lower - aha - found it. Cunning hide. How embarrasing.

14-Aug-06
Found the cache at 4.40pm. Excellent spot!!! Chris found it before me! Took: Bird, Left: Mouse. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.

01-Jul-06
Passing through town on the way north, A quick find, followed by a visit to the Post Office then on the road again. TNLN, TFTH.

12-May-06
Temporary lid fitted I will have to sourse a new container and replace the container but cache is still active

08-Apr-06
Where else could it be? Unfortunately the lid is broken on the container. I have put the container back with the lid side up. There wasn't and shouldn't be any moisture problems. Mr BP Owner wasn't interested today. TNLN.

03-Oct-05
This was a well hidden cache and I felt as if I was being watched by the BP owner. TNLNSL.
Thanks Postman Pat

27-Sep-05
In Tamworth for a few days visiting the in-laws. I had a fun time looking for this one and trying not to look suspicious. Unfortunately I was sprung by the owner of the servo across the road, who obviously knew what was going on. We had a nice friendly chat and I showed him what caching was all about. He was very cool about it and after I showed him the cache and contents he left me to log and rehide, but not before telling me where I could find PostmanPat, whose computer I am logging this cache.

Thanks for the hunt Pat, lots of good fun.

The Ginger Loon.
