Description
Where are the best Christmas lights
To get into the festive spirit I thought I'd create a locationless cache to allow people to log and also to find out where best Christmas lights are. Individual houses are good but streets are definately better. To log this cache simply take a waypoint at the start of the street where the lights are situated and list the street name and suburb/state the lights are situated in here. To respect individual households privacy please don't post street numbers, only street names. I realise photos are hard to do at night with a GPS in so just the log with an waypoint is fine. To start things off I'll post the co-ords of the first cache I completed which is No 178 by Grank. If you do this at night you will see a well done house from there located in Wyoming Road. Oh and by the way: MERRY CACHEMAS (CHRISTMAS)from Mr & Mrs C.O.D!

Thanks for the locationless cache

This house on the Midland highway always puts on a great display complete this year with Santa and a snow making machine.
Some years ago a house in this street put on a magnificent light display around Christmas but they have either moved on or are now too old to set up lights. This house a but further down the street puts on a display of lights which is quite spectacular.

The owner of the display was sitting proudly at the back of her display wishing passers by a happy new year last night, and was delighted for me to photograph her work.
A great idea for a locationless Cache On Demand. Many thanks.
MOSS VALE NSW
Another opportunity to go out Christmas light hunting and finding yet another unique light display. I love the effort people put into this, it really brightens my Christmas so much, and that of my children. And this is probably the one place you can come to get a list of lights to go and see if you're in that particular location.
This cache has been logged as a par of the States of the Nation game. Go Victoria.
Thanks for a great locationless!

So many houses lit up for Christmas - Bunnings must be making a killing. This house near my friends place was beaut. TFTC
Since it is almost Christmas, we decided to visit a fabulous Christmas Lights display. The people who live here have been doing this for 17 years and on at least one year they won the best display prize for the local council competition. But this year will be their last year. We arrived just before they turned on the lights at dusk and we were lucky to get a park two streets away, when we returned to the car, new cars arriving would have had to park three streets away. It just shows you how much this display is loved.
This year we had a "muggle mate" along on a big caching day out around Geelong so we took her to a few waypoints on our way home.
This display is in Foster St Werribee.
We particularly liked the inflatable Santa Kombi.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us.

There is a lovely display of Christmas lights along this street.
The attached photo is of a home in Graham Ct Hatton Vale.
Thanks Cache on Demand.
But this quiet little street is looking nice and bright, and full of Christmas cheer.
The display reveals first Christmas story of baby Jesus. Story goes, family living here own large Christmas decoration shop in Joondalup. Christmas lights display also great at homes on adjoining Playford Mews.
Comstock Way, Woodvale is an entire street full of Christmas lights.
This little Court has been going all out with the Xmas lights for years. Almost all the houses get into the action and it's always a favourite when we take the kids out for a drive around this time of the year.
My kids love this house.
Happy and safe holidays and merry Xmas all .
This is one to stop with the kids.
Spot this display on a short drive through this historic town

Every year since we moved in to the area, this house has had a fantastic display at Christmas. There used to be another house in the street that was similarly spectacular, but they seem to have stopped.
One of the even better things about this display is they have sweets for the kids, and take donations for charity for you to come in and look at the various bits.
I'm using this as a claim for my Summer Scavenger Series.

This year my 11yr old son decided that he wanted to be in charge of putting up the lights
Usually it takes me about 2 weeks to get the lights up, doing a bit each day after work
Charlie managed to get most of them done in a day and has been making mum buy more lights to add to the collection as some were not working anymore
The co-ords are for the street x road of Brookfield Ave and Bottlebrush Drive in Margaret River WA
Since we have been doing lights some other houses have started to put their own lights up
Railway Parade
Leura, NSW
This remains the best place in Leura to see some very spectacular Christmas lights.
This year, the owners have increased the display, which we hardly thought possible!
My geocache, 'Leura Christmas Tree,' is located right across the street.
We took a drive around the town and were pretty impressed with the neighbourly spirit of Christmas in Alfred St. Very pretty.
Thanks Cache On Demand.
One million christmas lights at Movieworld's "White Christmas"....stunning!

Leura NSW Christmas Lights
We visited the 'new and improved' display on Railway Parade in Leura, plus the year-round 'Yule Tree' at the Waldorf Gardens near the Leura Golf Course.
Very festive!
Merry Christmas!
I had dropped the geoteen off and was on the way home when I spotted a great set of lights in a side street as I passed. When I stopped the geomobile, I was offered a candy cane by a local youngster muggle too. Well worth a visit to see this outstanding effort. TFTC Cache On Demand
Christmas Lights in Katoomba Hospital Emergency Room
Great Western Highway
Katoomba, NSW
I was whisked away to this emergency room a day after my operation at Nepean Private Hospital in Penrith, NSW, and was immediately impressed with the Christmas lights everywhere.
Took a few photos and selfies and Mrs. pjmpjm snapped a few more.
Am out now . . . and fine!
Merry Christmas!
Christmas Display 2013-2014 Leura, NSW
This Railway Parade location is one of the most famous displays of lights in the upper Blue Mountains. It's certainly the best in Leura, and widely known.
And my 'Christmas Tree' geocache is located right across the road!
Thanks Acko
Just got home from a late night Flash Cache and can't sleep so I thought I'd do some locationless.
This set of Christmas Lights go up next door every year.
This is in Whitebeach, Tasmania on the Tasman Peninsula.
Hope you enjoy them.
Cheers and TFTC
OldSaint.
The lights were the blinking type, but the number was not as great as some I have seen, but on the 12th of January I was happy to find some at all.
