Dayboro trip. Day 4. Another bright sunny day around Port Macquarie. I headed a bit south to Laurieton for an AL. This region was also affected by flooding, so some caches were not accessible. The final lab in the AL set was in a closed park. Then it was back to Port Macquarie for lunch and the caches around the service center. To finish the day a I did a themed series of caches just North on Blackman's Point road. Lots of fun.
I had found this one before I realised it was a GA. Nice to see a traditional out and about.
Thanks.

We've driven past this one at least a dozen times since we started caching, and didn't stop for one reason or another, today I froggered across the road while the family was eating some fastfood on the lawn of the service centre, thanks to Covid.... the resident spider army had camouflaged the container nicely, I almost didn't see it.... the log is in good condition, carefully repackaged and rehidden.... TFTC!

Caching in the area with whitewebbs and this was one of the caches we found. Upset the ants but cache in good nick for its age.

#GA2682 - 09:35; Day four of the 2018 Oz GeoMuster mission with Sol de lune. After leaving the Mega yesterday afternoon and caching our way to Taree where we spent the night at a local caravan park, the plan for today was to cache our way north to Ballina in preparation for some caching around Byron and the Tweed before setting sail south again for home. Although not part of the original itinerary, I was able to collect a few more caches in Taree, which Sdl had picked up on previous visits. We were now headed north, caching our way along the highway when we stopped for a quick park and grab on this cache. TFTC Cache On Demand

This is our first GCA cache that isn't a trig or virtual. A quick find was had after checking the most likely spot.
Found on the way back from the gold coast. The nearby GC was a bust and I don't think the moveable is around anymore. TFTC
Headed off the highway and up to GZ. Great to find a car park almost right at GZ and then it was just a short walk back, where the cache was found sitting nicely tucked away. Lots spider webs to clean off before I could get the log out, but all was good and my name was soon in the book.
Thanks Cache on Demand...great to see some of the old ones still going well.

Heading North today and we wanted to find a "big" cache. This one had us fooled for a while because of layer upon layer of old spider web covering it. The log has completely perished but we had a spare to donate. Thanks COD.
Co-ords were spot on for this one for us. A quick grab and return between driving muggles. Thanks.
We decided today was the day to do this, we've driven past enough times. Wow, an ant farm in a cache.

We walked over here from the nearby service centre wondering what people driving past thought of three people walking around the intersection.
The cache was located quickly, the log could probably do with being replaced soon as it has been damp.
Thanks CacheonDemand.

Found with my first real attempt at a GCA cache. The first one was a garden gnome given to me while out for dinner with the pprass's and the other was one what we thought was a GC cache that had gone missing. Whoohoo. I was waiting on the side of the highway on ramp for someone and I remembered there was one around here. So without my GPS I crossed the road for a quick find. The cache was covered in cobwebs and full of ants, so gave it a quick cleanout.

Found at 1.40pm GAFF1. You can't call the "Big Doughnut" the "Big Doughnut" nor the "Big O" unless you are a local. So now that we are locals we stopped at the edge of the "Big Doughnut" on our way back from "A taste of Haven" which is a big wine and food festival at Lauriton. Initially the GPS wanted us to check the middle of the road, but c-pprass (who didn't have a GPS) checked the more traditional spots for a hide and the cache was quickly found. GZ eventually settled down to 5 metres while we were logging the cache.
Thanks Cache on Demand - another cache that we have been wanting to do for a long time.

Might give this one a miss at the moment as there is a seige underway.
From the MSN headlines:
"Police rushed to the restaurant at a service centre near the corner of the Oxley Highway and Pacific Highway just after 8am (AEST) on Wednesday, after receiving reports about an armed man"

This one had to be there but perhaps the co-ords might have been a tad dodgy. Thanks for the first of the day though.
Shot across through the traffic to GZ, cache was found after a little search as the waypoints appeared to be slightly off. SL. TFTC.
Nice easy find on the way into Port Macquarie. TFTC.

Dad and I were making good time on our motorcycle caching trip that we stopped in to sign the log, thanks!
Quick find on the way back from Coffs Harbour to my new home in Sydney after a roundabout trip. TNLNSL, thanks Cache On Demand.
Thankfully the place I found it was not on the road as the ones I had indicated. My co-ords are listed above. Easy find when you know where to look. Had to use some stealth / timing here. Signed log. Thanks for the drive-by cache

My second last one for the day and found it in 5 minutes. Thanks for placing a geocache there.
I liked that it was a magnetic cache.

Stopping in for fuel on the way north and knocked this one over at the same time. Not happy to see that BP slug you for $1.65 to use a credit card now. We will be avoiding this stop in the future.
