This is our last day in the Wagga Wagga area and decided to try to get as many GCA caches as possible before we go tomorrow. We'd been in this area yesterday doing an adventure lab so at least we knew where we needed to return to. A quick find in the rain. TFTC

13-Apr-22
found it while walking along the edge of the lake

20-Jan-22
Driving through Wagga on the trip home from the Wang Mega with LuckyL10n and stopped off to grabbed this since it was replaced. All good today and our names were soon in the log.

Thanks for the cache....

#GA5575 - 12:30; Day 6 and the final day of the Wang Mega tour with Sol de lune. After an "interesting" time arranging accommodation in Narranderra, we were once again on the road, with home being our final destination today. After caching our way through to Wagga Wagga, this was our last stop before we headed back to the highway and on to home. Nice to find another oldie still in play. Thanks for the cache!

Got up a bit late, but went for a drive anyway. We wore our masks near people, and in the petrol station, and waved from a distance at Smittengranny (we think!).

We found some movables and some trigs - the trigs will allow a few shots in the battleship game.

Thanks for this cache, REscue-201!

It was a beautiful warm afternoon so we decided to tackle a few of the Wagga Adventure Labs and as we were walking between labs we noticed we were passing a GCA cache. Had to stop and have a quick look. Spot on coordinates and the clue enabled us to make a quick find. Cache contents had been wet but were dry and useable today.

Thanks for this cache Rescue-201. The view across the lake was spectacular this morning.

Our first cache in Wagga Wagga, a place we have never visited before.
Because we had limited time here we chose to grab a few of the GCA caches in the town and return another time for a serious attempt on the other caches here.
As I approached GZ I noticed a whole pile of stuff that may have fitted the clue but fortunately the GPS led me away from those to a single item that looked pretty promising. There was the cache and it actually took longer to get the pieces of log sheet out than to find it.
Bet there are lots of caches around this lake and would have loved to take the bikes off the van and ride around it but just didn't have time today.
Thanks.

Some great caching around Wagga this early morning to end up in the Rock for my special celebration cache for nr 11000. Where has time gone? Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of caches around. Last time I was here I was a bit dissapointed by dnf's and terrible containers, but today it was so much better. Thanks to all the CO's for the placing and maintenance of the caches. Sure going to come back here soon.

There is a CITO on in Wagga today, well I might as well go over to catch up with some cacher friends and meet some new ones. Smile It was great to meet you all. This is also a great opportunity for me to get a new best for the most cache types in a single day. I managed to collect 6 types in this order (Mystery, Virtual, Traditional, CITO, Earth and Multi) and a few other finds. I enjoyed all the unique locations I visited today. I really enjoyed the day and I would like to thank the CO’s of the caches I found and for the fun I had while finding them. Smile

My first of two GCA caches today. As I parked around the other side of the lake I had a nice relaxing walk around to the cache. TFTC

Visited this spot on the way to ParkRun this morning and stopped by to have a look. So this one has been missing a while, so I dropped a cache down at GZ until the CO can do some cache maintenance. Thanks for the cache Smile

No finds or DNF's since Apr 2010????

Well here's a DNF. We looked and looked to no avail. With a few floods over the last couple of years, could it have been washed away??

Thanks anyway

Nice quick find for the first cache of the day on the Saturday of the mega event. TNLNSL, thanks Rescue-201. Certainly a pretty lake that I gather only recently refilled.

04-Apr-10
Had to spend about 10 minutes picking sharp grass seeds out of my socks from a previous cache, so I didn't mind the prickles too much! TNLN Thanks for the cache

As I drove past looking where to park I saw a geocacher run across the road. I watched as he darted here & there before settling & finding the cache. It's all in the description. Then had to wait for some muggles to move on before I went straight to the cache. Thanks.

03-Apr-10
Pleasant views of the lake - I initially checked the usual hiding place, but the GPS eventually settled at the right spot.

TNLN - Thanks Rescue-201

A few people passing that I had to out wait, but despite a few big fat rain drops, no problems. Albida.

Good hiding place.

A shame the lake's full of weed, but, great in respect of the newly abundant bird life.

Took stickers, left roly poly toy.

16-Sep-07
Found quickly but the large black ants that had included the container in their nest where not very happy.
