Dropped by for our 2nd cache today. Worked out the co-ords and started our search. Alas we couldn't find the cache. We'll come back once it's confirmed that it's there.
Pretty sure we were looking in the right spot but an extensive search gave no joy. Hope it was just us.
Found today at 1115.

Nice little cache, found it just after logging Cunning one. Thanks for the interesting info about the history of Geelong and Victory, and also thanks for unintentionally showing me thousands of flying foxes! A shame I didn't bring a camera! nino

Nice cache to combine with Cunning one, thanks for learning me more about Geelongs history. Also spotted the flying foxes! Magnificent sight.

Found by Mary & David at 1605. Enjoyed the history. Hadn't realised that the colourfull bollards extended this far. An amazing, but noisy, colony of flying foxes not far from GZ. Great views too. TNLN. Our thanks to Salty Dog.
Found around 3.00 pm by Mr Emu and kids. A really nice finishing location, after an educational starting point.
The cache was pretty damp - we dried what we could, but some items will retain the moisture.
*A bonus was the sighting of many flying foxes roosting in the tops of trees to the East of the cache site. Hard to pick them out from the pine-cones - until they move. The only give away was the odd sound coming from the trees. Worth bringing binoculars if your interested in having a look. Thanks!
Took : Nil; Left Nil.

My 4th GCA cache of the day and a nice little scenic multi. Good hiding place should keep it from harm. Rubber bands holding up well too. TNLN thanks salty dog for your cache.

Found by Bushfire-Red Ant in the spot that I thought it should have been last visit but thats life NI/NO lovely spot.
RedPaw64 found this cache at 4.45 pm on 21/11/06.
I had a log book with me but it was too big, so I ripped out some pages and put them in a sealed plastic bag until a log book is put there. Hope you don't mind me doing that Salty Dog.
NB: Anyone going to this cache will need to carry their own pen or pencil.
Took Swivel
Left Dinosaur
Thanks Salty Dog

Cache has been replaced. No log book at this stage but at least there's something to find.
RedPaw64 looked hard and spent a while looking. I would question if this cache is still where it should be and would like to know if it has been checked lately. I will look again soon.
Did a through search of the area even used a mirror to look in places that I could not reach. I realise that it's only a small cache and I may have missed it. I did however find ä rubber stamp with "Not Negotiable" on the ground and I assumed that it had been muggled !! Will look again later as it is five months since it was last located. Red Ant
A cool, sunny morning in Geelong VIC, spent wandering through the park. The clue definitely helps with locating this one!

Woohoo. A FTF on a GCA cache that's been here less than a week.
The two girls and I decided to go caching this fine day and so the first place we stopped by was in Geelong.
We collected the clues and drove closer to GZ (no other reason that we're all sneezy and snuffly and we could have just as easily walked).
With J in charge of the GPSr we approached the most likely location and bingo, I found it (having a slight advantage over the two girls).
Took shell, left plastic animal.
Thanks Salty Dog. I'm not sure how long the rubber band will last, they tend to perish in the weather. Nevertheless a great GCA cache, not all that close to home, but encouraging enough to get out there and try it. Much appreciated.
