Worked our way up to Dunns Swamp for a drive, arriving late afternoon. Had enough time and light to grab this cache. Collected the information needed for the other nearby mystery cache which will will collect on another visit to the area. Thanks for the cache odlids.

A quick climb for the find on the way into camp for breakfast.

I looked from the top and missed it. Luckily I took a better look from the side and spotted the prize.

I was still early for breakfast.

Goodness. I had no idea that all these caches even existed. I found this with Shufflehop while staying in Dunns Swamp as part of the "Never the Twain Shall Meet" cache and was befuddled as to how to access and log this guy. I found a whole new database. Woo Hoo.

Found with BoabTree, nice scramble.

In the area to attempt GCWPFX, needed to find 2 GCA caches first, I thought this will be easy one, but no why would an Odlids cache be easy to get too. Up the pagoda, climb up and up, Wazza9 quickky saw the contents scatched on the rocks. He cleaned up the contents and replaced in to a new container, signed log and rehid. A big thanks to Odlids. Very HappySmileLaughing

Revisited this cache we found 3 years ago to collect info for a GC cache. When MrT arrived nr GZ he saw sime bits of plastic lying on the ground. On further inspection found they were broken clips from the cache container. Not able to reattach them. Cache container needs replacing.

Second one today and a lovely view at this one. I found a easy way from the road up onto the ridge. Walking between the rocks was fantastic. TFTC

Great little hide near the turnoff to one of the best places of all time! Bit more of a trek than first expected, and great to grab the coords to help with another cache! Loved this one! LaughingLaughingLaughing

for the second time today I've repeated my journey to GZ on a cache. last time it was to find my phone which had fallen out of my pocket during a comfort stop. here however a slightly different reason to retrace my steps. First up I was in thongs, yes I know is summer and that's dumb but oh well sometimes it happens. Shocked luckily no wildlife was spotted especially the snaky kind.
i found the cache no dramas, was surprised how rarely its found but its got some great swag, pity i didn't throw anything in to swap with. these things happen. i got back to the car after a small blood sacrifice extracted by the cache god, sat down and realised i'd not written down the information i needed so changed into my sneakers, which did make the return journey easier it has to be said, and headed off for a second find.
thanks for the cache odlids. all is good at the cache eventually I might even log the correct one...
cheers!

We vowed to pick up all the caches around Dunn's Swamp on our camping expedition and this, along with Swamp View, was imperative to finding "Never the Twain". We already had Swamp View so drove up to the junction and climbed the rock to find the cache almost in plain sight. Signed and read the logs - one "Zayne from Portland" found the cache when looking for phone reception. He then signed it another time!
I added a couple of rocks for extra camo.

Thanks!

Found with griz4b - nice view! As said, the logs contained a few "extra" finds by non-cachers who had wandered there. One was looking for phone reception!

This cache was a step one towards finding "Never the Twain..." with peter_mcc. A very well stocked cache indeed! Amazing how many muggles manage to find this one Wink

With this being my first GCA find it was a good intro as to what lay ahead for the rest of the weekend.
Love this pagoda country.

We decided to venture out a way we'd never gone before and this cache was first on our list after doing quick checks on a couple of our hides down the road. We parked the geomobile just near the intersection and after a very short walk through some brush we had the cache in hand. A lovely spot and a well stocked cache.

Sitting in the campsite last night somewhere north of Rylstone, I noticed this little cluster of five caches scattered around Dunns Swamp campground.
"Well I guess I know where I'll be staying tomorrow night." I thought
Surely a day of bushwalking in sandstone country and a great campsite to boot needed investigating.
The campground was totally deserted when I arrived (and as the sun sets, still is except for one happy cacher).
I strolled out to this cache along the road from the campsite.
At the 'T' junction it was straight ahead and into the bush.
A very gentle little climb to a great little lookout and there was the cache rocking on Big Grin
'At this rate I'll have all five caches found by lunch' I thought.
Note to self: Never think thoughts like that when chasing Odlids' caches !!

Took a bunch of young Rats on a rainy day for a little hunting. Easy find and a start towards Never the Twain.
Thanks, Rathard

This was a very short walk to the top of a pagoda where Lady Altaire spotted the cache from about five metres. As is usual in this area, as soon as you get to the top of a pagoda the views are very good. The many pagodas make this a fascinating area to walk through. We’ve done both a Navshield event and a rogaine here and these same pagodas can make for some interesting navigational problems. We took the little gold coloured elephant, leaving a necklace, countersink tool and a candle.
