After a Quick Chat with Mix, he has let me re-list Lizzy as a new cache! She is just as you remember her and ready for new adventures. Follow her now at
Lizzy on the Run!
Lizzy on the Run!
Well Lizzy has been on a big adventure today!
First she visited the zoo to hang out with a big cousin, the Komodo Dragon, the largest living lizard on earth.
Next she did a great bush walk and found many of her smaller water dragon lizard friends everywhere along the trail. She even spotted a nice info plaque with her photo on it!
Finally after a big day out came the ultimate surprise. Sitting high on a rock in the afternoon sun was proud looking specimen of an Eastern Water Dragon... his name was Larry. It was love at first sight and Lizzy decided she would move in with Larry and see what he is like
The above photo is a nice clue as to where you will find Lizzy and Larry shacked up in the rocks of this awesome part of the world. Someone should go check on her soon though as I have heard Larry is Flat Out with a Drinking Problem!

Report: I had missed Lizzy even though she was there a few days ago and was pretty keen to add her to my difficulty matrix. As luck would have it, Team Legomen had offered to take me out on the new WhereIgo Cache which my TomTom couldnt do and we had to go nearby so I was able to grab Lizzy on route. I suppose the fact I had the previous finder with me meant this was perhaps the easiest Diff5 cache I'll ever do as we walked towards GZ TLM was able to lead the way. Brilliant cache, even though I had seen a photo it was still hilarious to make the grab... and then have to carry her home on the train hiding in my sling as I had no bag Dont think anyone noticed I should be heading to some nice rocky outcrops over Sydney Harbour soon. I'll try to bump the difficulty a bit

Lizyy has been watching a bit of TV lately and wanted to be like the stray dog at the Commonwealth Games that keeps wandering through events.
She has moved to an area close to the archery range and is waiting for the right moment to scuttle across the range.
Go for it Zalgariath.

After HGL's helpful notes this was a nice easy find this morning. Not sure how I missed it yesterday but probably didn't help not knowing what the cache looked like.
Didn't even get muddy or have to do any climbing this time. Had to hide her under my jumper as I walked back past the security cameras.

She's high up the bank, you would need to duck down to get her. No one around this morning so I have included proper coords and I said hello to the Troll - thanks for your help!
I hope she was above the high water line! If she was right up high where the roof is low that would explain why I didnt find her, with only one arm at the moment my sling stops me crawling I'll have to wait till she is grabbed and moved
I left Lizzy on the ground sitting amongst the mud and rocks underneath the bridge closer to the South Eastern side. Sorry I did not have better co-ords (I used the ones from The Troll)
Like Zagariath I searched for about 20 minutes. Also spotted The Troll. Even managed to get myself up onto one of the large pipe things and crawl along a fair way. Thought I had seen something from the ground but it turned out to be a pipe joiner.
somebody must be quick! I did spot the Troll as I've found it before, but no Lizzy so she is either well hidden or already grabbed. Mind u, coords had me pretty far along the bridge and my bad arm stopped me crawling under too far. Will have to wait til she re surfaces

Although I did not find the Olympic Park Troll, I left Lizzy to catch up with him.
Picked up with little miss hgl, maybe off to Sydney now!

Lizzy has moved into suburbia, at the edge of a patch of bush where she can observe the strange behaviour and comings and goings of the locals. It's not a rocky spot, but she should stay well concealed.
Had good reason to visit here today http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=f9ad0ca5-ff65-4159-8f33-b3d47d1ba965 and thought Lizzy might enjoy some time out in the bush (plus I knew she'd fit in this cache).
Best to pick a cooler day before venturing here.

Found this after hiking up a steeeeeeep hill.
Will try and find another place where it will be safe from harm.

Cache is not at these coordinates, but these are the dummy coordinates for The Wibbles "Princess and the Snail". Lizzy is now residing with that cache. If the next finder is a GCA'ophile they'll get a great surprise or shock.

Found enjoying the view of Stokes bay from the clifftop above.
Great walk up from the car park below (170ft elevation rise).
Also our first physical GCA cache found, and it also fills in a hole on our Diff/Terrain graph.
Will take back to the mainland and hide, rather than leaving Lizzy on KI.

We took this one over to Kangaroo Island for a holiday.
Its safely snuggled in the rocks under a bush on the headland above Stokes Bay.
We stayed in the row of units nearby.
I would recommend a walk up from the lower car park to the cache spot.

Moved Lizzie on and it is on the move to Kangaroo Island. Thanks to Team Waldron.
What a great hide and what an adventure in retrieving it. I had tried this cache once before but the terrain beat us. This time, I grabbed a local who was familiar with the terrain and we ventured out on a hot and windy Saturday afternoon. We dropped to sea level and navigated the rocks and incoming tide, only to search in vain. My local consultant then shot up the cliff like a mountain goat and searched all the nooks and crannys. A cry rang out and I see my friend leaping in the air with alarm, dislodging a large rock in the process, which narrowly missed me at the bottom of the cliff in the process. (Thanks Winter dragon for setting a trap for both us....very funny!) I see my buddy then lean down and retrieve the something that had scared both of us. Hurray, the cache was ours! We signed the log but as we made our way back along the rocks, we realised that we had left our return walk along the beach a little late. The tide had almost covered our only escape up the cliff and we were beginning to wonder if cliff rescue were answering their phone. We managed to get by the rocks just before the water covered them and climbed to freedom very relieved. Thanks all for a great adventure. We will move it along soon.

Decided that Lizzy could do with some coastal rock action, so she's now near the sea. Up a bit, under that pile of rocks...
Found Lizzy in her rocky home. I was a bit hesitant reaching in to grab her - would have jumped a few feet if she turned out to be a real one
Lizzy is hanging out high above the biggest town in South Australia.
A peaceful place on the ridges of the Mt Lofty Ranges

The cold weather here in the Orroral Valley had sent Lizzy into hibernation.
Finding Lizzy in amongst the rocks was a tough call indeed.
I looked for 15 minutes at least before giving up and wandering off to find another cache.
But on my way back I had to have another look.
The morning sun must have stirred our scaly friend and I spotted her in a trice

This is such a lovely valley that I will just move Lizzy nearly 2k along to another great spot on the side of a knoll overlooking "Orroral Run".

Thanks Mix - I really like this cache. It had been well-hidden in a lovely rocky location in a wonderful Namadgi valley by Tankengine.
When I eventually spotted it, I had to do a proof of life test with a stick!! LOL!

Lizzy is now in a rocky area at the gateway to Namadgi, home to some of Canberra's biggest rocks.
Like the last finder/mover found Lizzy in the rain on a 6km round trip to collect the new Tuggeranong utility caches as well as this one.
Very cute container. Hopefully back out tomorrow.

Lizzy has had great travels to rocky places this week. We took her to 'Bats in the Belfry', 'Legoland' and 'Namadgi Billabong' this week - the first two in particular are spectacular rocky places. Didn't leave her there however, because those caches don't get many visitors. She is happily surrounded by rocks in a rocky location, where she should be safe from muggles.
Very funny story attached to this. I left work a bit early for a bike ride, only to encounter light rain, then heavy rain. Despite having a raincoat I became soaked (but the rain is great and not complaining). Found myself on Aspen Island but without the coords for Lizzy - I only knew she was in a tree hollow, but had no idea what I was looking for. Picture me tentatively exploring in the hollow, poking with a stick! Laughed to myself as I squelched back around the lake!! We'll place her somewhere rocky, dear Lizzy!
Lizzy has now moved to Aspen Island - hiding in a little tree hollow (the rocks are all a bit wet hereabouts). She should be collected next Saturday at the WWFM event, if not before.
Having unexpectedly collected Lizzy, I had to find somewhere to leave it. Solution? Easy, the same as I how I received it - just hand it on to another cacher.
I arranged to meet with Tealby to collect the two large TBs she had in her possession. As an unexpected bonus, she also handed me Lizzy!
Now I need to find somewhere to leave it...
Now I need to find somewhere to leave it...
Dropped off & immediately collected by Bewilderbeest...
Lizzy was well hidden in the rocks & it took me a while to track her down - in the end I needed the assistance of the B Team, who spotted her almost immediately.

Out near Tidbinbilla, in a rocky location with views along the Paddys river.
Found Lizzie, I wasn't able to move it on as a home owner at the bottom of the hill was watching me like a hawke, he didn't like me parking my old bomb across from his pretty house on public land, tosser. Signed the log but left lizzie and a cloud of dust for the jerk when I left.
Now in Canberra,ACT dropped on Coleman Ridge, with great views of South Canberra.
found Lizzy nicey tucked away under a rock shelf.. wasn't in official geocaching clothes but thankfully didn't get too dirty finding it...
will drop when I get home
will drop when I get home
I have just found out I will have no Caching time for the next week so I have had to drop her nearby in suburbia. Hope the traffic noise doesn't drive her nuts.
Followed some astute advice and tackled this one from the end of the road. The walk up was easy as we fluked the gap in the escarpment. Lizzy has now moved on and we will post the co-ordinates for her new home very shortly. Pesky, I think you should put down a permanent Cache where Lizzy was as the view is sensational and it deserves to be shared.

i wonder if i have over rated this one?
the location is not a high risk location it is just dificult to access... meaning there is no trail and you might , just might have to go the long way around, but its definitely not a 1/1
its been ages, if no one attempts it soon, ill move it down to the foot path out side my house. at least there someone might trip over it and log a find.

Ahh now you have a perfect resting place... none shall bother you here for some time, i hope, ( insert evil laugh). Your sanctuary is guarded by high rock ledges and few access points, in fact there are no trails in this area. terrain varies from 3 to 4.5 ( no ropes needed) be careful when you choose your approach. It is safe if you consider your options and look at going around instead of always straight up.
From the way point you will be able to see Lizzy, but may need a boost up, or a long stick to retrieve her.
Don't forget to turn around and check out the view once you have found Lizzy, one of the best on the coast.
terrain 4 (max) difficulty 1 ( you will see him sttaight away.)

ha! i have you now ... lizzy!
What a way to finish off a day of geocaching...
19:30 at night, on a dark lonely stretch of road.
the sounds of who knows what eminating from the distant bushlands, and a 50m stumble through the bush to the edge of who know what, my torch would not light up the bottom. found this little dude hanging around under a ledge waiting to frighten me, even though i kew what to expect, it was still a surprise when lizzy came into view....
excelent work.
now to find a devious spot to place him.

Lizzy is now in a place which i think he will feel very at home,
A cache so close to home yet it took me this long to notice, so up first thing in the morning and headed off to pick the little fella up, he must have been right at home because i nearly stepped on one of his own kind as i approached GZ but Lizzy although he can stay very still he couldn't hide from me and i had him quickly in my hands.
Will let him go again once the weather improves.

Thought Lizzi would like to hang out at one of our favourite rocky outcrops with its valley views.
Found Lizzy hidden under a rock, scared Mrs Nilbog a little. Will move her on to another rock soon.

Got a shock as I moved some bark and lizzy Jumped out at me. LOL.
Will find a new rocky home for her shortly.

I am sure Lizzy would love this place so I left it there.
found Lizzy and seems lost so I took Lizzy with me for while before moving to another rock.
Lizzy loves this place - excellent view as well.
Appologies for keeping so long got misplaced and forgot I had it
Don't worry GIN51E, I hadn't noticed either (thought this was on my watchlist) and came past this evening to check while walking my dog. Thought it must have run off too.
I came i looked and i looked and i looked, oh well the cache must have been muggled. then i come on here to log my DNF which i was very upset about as its the first DNF for some time.
Then I see the cache has already been picked up on the 6th why didn't i notice that this morning before i left? aah maybe its because i read the description where you can't log it as a find until you have placed the cache in a new location within a week, now that its been over a week does that mean you now have to change your find to a DNF?
Don't mind me I'm just a little upset about my own stupidity looking for a cache which if i paid more attention to the logs would have realised it had already been found

snuck up to GZ as to not alert Lizzy of my presence, Crikey! she put up a fight as I attempted to bag her. Lizzy will be re-located shortly. Co ordinates were spot on.

You can do it easily with a calculator!
-33.918100°
Take the decimal portion and multiply by 60
0.918100 * 60 = 55.086
So then you have:
S 33° 55.086'
Rinse and repeat!

Lizzy now has a nice spot to sit in the afternoon sun. Might be hiding if you were too noisy approaching.
I've lost my GPS hence the delay in placing this cache out. The coords were taken with GE but unfortunately it provides them in DMS or degrees. Here's both. Anyone got a converter?

Found the little Lizzy while visiting zactyl on the Gold Coast. She was getting bored staying in the one spot so I'll have to find a nice rocky place in Sydney for her to rest. Hopefully she will have more visitors.

Found a nice rocky place for Lizzy to hide in, with million dollar views! If you're almost in the water you're in the right spot.
It's very close to "Evandale", one of my GCA caches (so grab that while you're there), but this wasn't the motivating factor for placement.
Any problems finding Lizzy, feel free to ring my mobile (daytime is best, I work nights).

Easy find at 12:30am after work, was going to swim across the creek but there were some shifty looking characters in the carpark, so I parked near the Tourist Information Building on the right side of the bridge and had Lizzy in hand in under 10 minutes! Then I couldn't resist the urge to Nude Up for a swim

Lizzy will start her travels here, she is 2-3 meters back from the high water mark under the trees were there is no sat reception. Good reception on the sand though so you should have no trouble.
