Day 30 Mainland trip
Out and about caching around Tamworth and surrounds with Tassie Trekkers and this was one we found. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the rural drive. The standard of hides and creativity of some were fantastic. A wonderful old bridge. TFTC

Driving home from Alexandra and spending the night in Armidale. 7 hour drive to Nanango Queensland tomorrow. Saw the date this one was last found and did not like my changes but would give it a go. Should not have doubted it. parked on the Bridge next to a tree leaned over and had the good sized container in hand pretty quick. All good here. A quick find in the first place we looked thanks to the generous clue.
Container is in excellent condition and the contents dry but a bit of a musty smell when we opened it.
Thanks.

Another bridge cache grabbed while heading north to Stanthorpe for the Mega. Took a few minutes to spot it the growth, but all was good and the log was soon being signed.

Thanks for another one Postman Pat.

399km from home.
Having just relocated all of the daughter’s furniture from Our Selection and where she was living in Brisbane down to Singleton and leaving Mrs RF with her for a week. I am flying solo in a furniture truck. Not the greatest or most inconspicuous geobuggy but transport between caches none the less.
On a timetable to get the truck back I thought the Bridge series would be a good way to break up the trip. However, finding that the caches weren’t the bridges on the main road and not always being able to find somewhere safe to park the truck plus the time it took me to find the caches meant I had to cut down on how many of these I did. Had to drop back to just getting enough code words to claim the “Bonus” cache. At least there will still be unfound caches when we go to visit the daughter…
Even though I managed to get the truck right up to the GZ, this cache took me most of half an hour to find, the phone sent me directly to the hide which I missed, it then started to wander and had me in the creek bed, then back on the bridge, back in the creek etc, even the hint had me looking in the wrong places after the obvious location kept turning up nothing. After swapping the phone for the GPS60 it also sent me to the same place I had looked 3-4 times. This time I had read a few of the logs and had a bit more than a ‘Man Look’ and found the cache right where it hadn’t been on the previous looks.
Grabbed the code word, left our tag, took nothing but memories and left nothing but footprints.

Hide, log and container are all in good nick.
Thanks for the cache Postman Pat.

Had trouble finding this, then Geo realised he was unwittingly doing his own bit in hiding it. TFTC Postman Pat, a great bridge series.

We went to where our GPS indicated GZ should be but couldn't locate the cache. We widened our search, again without success. We returned to where our GPS said GZ should be and looked more carefully, moving everything possible. Eureka! The cache was extremely well hidden by the vegetation. The cache and contents were in good condition. TFTC Postman Pat.

SO well covered! It was actually in the very first place I initially looked, but I climbed all over before returning there (thanks to McPhan) and I eventually found the cache. A great little secret spot that most just whizz by.

I love these forgotten places caching turns up that others whizzing by in cars never see. Cache was well covered by the previous finder so took a while to get. Thanks Postman Pat.

405. While others have wondered if there was a bridge here, I wandered down to confirm and there is. The reason I went down was that we weren't having any luck up top and I thought I may be able to spot it from below. In the end there was no need to head down as Mr Winglen made the find up top.

TFTC and the try.

Looked for the majority of this series. Excellent hint & lent over just to check it was indeed a bridge as nature has certainly engulfed it, thanks.

found in the dark with the rest of the crew....
is there a bridge here?

06-Jun-09
My memories a little foggy on this cache. I remember driving down the old highway in the dark and getting out of the car. Pesky was saying something lick "there should be a bridge around hear somewhere"then someone found the cache (wasn't me). Didn't see much of the bridge in the dark.

06-Jun-09
First of the bridge series for us. Found in the dark, so we couldn't see the bridge clearly.
Thanks Postman Pat

Ah, ha, ha, ha! In company with gerrynewgirl, I walked to where the GPS indicated GZ. Stepped over the guardrail and looked over the edge - no cache! Not until I was stepping back that I realised that I had my big foot on the cache. Well hidden hey! Thanks for the cache. TN left token.

Find number 8 for today - 18:37. Nice hide here. TNLNSL. Thanks for bringing me here, I didn't even know there was an old road along here before. Thanks for the cache.

Found this cache easily. We are doing the caches in this series in reverse as we are travelling to Tamworth from Walcha and not the other way around.

TNLN SL TFTC Postman Pat!

Found cache just as it started to rain, had to sit in the car about ten minutes for the rain to stop before replacing the cache.
Took stubbie holder and left a car.
Thanks.

Nice and quiet at the time. Found without too much difficulty. No exchanges. Thanks Pat.

Easy find once I stood on the bridge and not in the creek. Took a toy phone and left a kite.
