Out and about caching around Tamworth and surrounds with Tassie Trekkers and this was one we found. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the rural drive. The standard of hides and creativity of some were fantastic. A wonderful old bridge. TFTC

An easy find thanks to the generous clue. Loved the old brickwork here.
Thanks for the cache and the series too. We will have to return one day when we aren't in such a hurry and grab some more of them.

Made a detour to find this cache and used the clue for a quick find. Always good to find decent sized caches. We swapped some treasure and headed off on the long drive home. TFTC.

Found with my Granddaughter and her twin sons (my Great Grandsons). It had been raining and they had a great time stomping in the puddles. They badly wanted to take the toys but I had forgotton to bring exchange items from the car, 280 meteres away, so TNLN.
What a great location to get to....and even better when you get there. Watched the traffic og by while signing the log, so all was good. Love the ammo can...thanks again Postman Pat...more tomorrow as we continued our trip to Stanthorpe......

411km from home.
Having just relocated all of the daughter’s furniture from Our Selection and where she was living in Brisbane down to Singleton and leaving Mrs RF with her for a week. I am flying solo in a furniture truck. Not the greatest or most inconspicuous geobuggy but transport between caches none the less.
On a timetable to get the truck back I thought the Bridge series would be a good way to break up the trip. However, finding that the caches weren’t the bridges on the main road and not always being able to find somewhere safe to park the truck plus the time it took me to find the caches meant I had to cut down on how many of these I did. Had to drop back to just getting enough code words to claim the “Bonus” cache. At least there will still be unfound caches when we go to visit the daughter…
Even though I managed to get the truck right up to the GZ, this cache took me most of half an hour to find, the phone sent me directly to the hide which I missed, it then started to wander and had me in the creek bed, then back on the bridge, back in the creek etc, even the hint had me looking in the wrong places after the obvious location kept turning up nothing. After swapping the phone for the GPS60 it also sent me to the same place I had looked 3-4 times. This time I had read a few of the logs and had a bit more than a ‘Man Look’ and found the cache right where it hadn’t been on the previous looks.
Grabbed the code word, left our tag, took nothing but memories and left nothing but footprints.
Hide, log and container are all in good nick.
Thanks for the cache Postman Pat.

An interesting bit of road leading to the bridges, looks like they test their line marking skills here. TFTC Postman Pat.

Getting to this cache required some bush bashing and scrambling. Once near GZ accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. the cache and the contents were in good condition. On our way back we came across a father and son riding their bikes along the old road. TFTC Postman Pat.
What a great spot, the way the three bridges have just been laid over the top of each other sharing foundations. Nice also to see an ammo can. Thanks Postman Pat.
401. Probably the pick of the bridges IMHO. Really liked this one just for the three layered effect.

Another old bridge, this time with a really good rail bridge to double up. Thanks for another interesting stop
Toowoomba 10.3. I drove down to this one. Great area, heaps to see, even if they are being re-claimed by the scrub. Thanks.

This was quite fun - made the turn off, made the drive down and made a quick find. Amazing how quickly these old routes are forgotten once the highways come through...!

found as part of a rocket building exercise. late at night, cold at night, what else do you do?

The main thing I can remember about this cache was grabbing some choc chip buiscuits from Pesky before we left, after all it was getting late and we didn't have alot to eat before we set out for the night.
The cache itself was good too.
Thanks.

Didn't go quite far enough past the cache site so we didn't find the cache site. Shell_seeker and I went cross country in pluggers to find this one. Easy cache to find and I always love finding these tins. TFTC!!!

Oh goodness graceous me, how easy do they come and yet not too many go looking for the poor old Aussie caches. This one was easy; parking nearby; and somewhat of historical value. TFTC TN left token.
Couldn't find the gravel mounds 100m up so figured it must have referred to track on the East side of highway - wrong, went to train tracks and then couldn't get to cache from there without some rock-climbing gear But if you do go about 600m past the cache to the North you will find the track back. I drove to within 20m and passed the gravel mounds Wished I had been here in the daylight as quite a sight to see 3 roads crossing at the same place, photos didn't come out as not enough light. TNLNSL. Thanks for another great bridge cache.

Found cache with john john. Took cockatoo and left diabetes travel bug and chinese lantern. TFTC.
This is the second closest we have been able to bring a car to a cache. Note that both times we have been in a hire car so maybe the story would have been different if it was our own car!

2nd cache in the bridge series so far, nice easy find.

Drove down to the bridges without any problems. Had to make a dash for the cache during a break in the traffic. Second for the day. Thanks Pat
I felt vunerable during this cache. Every person driving past (I must have chosen a bad time because there was a lot of them.) seemed to be staring at me. Nice easy find. Thanks for the cache. TNLN.
