Description

third oath of a pirates life

With a need to lighten the load on her creaking beams, we were forced to port all her cargo ( read treasure) to a safer location. having found a safe creek to bare the ships belly in, we needed her unloaded before the next low tide. so we were spared not a stroke of the cat as we all heaved to and brung up the treasure to this location, and again swore an oath to share fairly the booty if we wer ever able tog get it back into one place again. so we were all allocated a share, and hid it away in smaller portions, in the surrounding lands we had seen from our first oath location. In a vain hope that if we were ever captured, no one could give away the location to the whole treasure. We have never been asked, or made to return it all to one place.... until now!

Came right past here and made a quick stop. Only on other car in the car park. I started searching all the holes and crevices, but couldn't find it either.

No luck here with this one for me despite having the area clear for a good search.

02-Apr-10
We have looked here a few times and today at length with a torch to light up the dark holes. With a year since it was found of rain, the bank eroding and, as I discovered today from the smell, people p***ing over the edge, there was no sign of the little blighter so we'll just write it off.

Lovely views from up here. Met up with Altaire to walk to Wonderbyne. Quick find with no muggles about, and altaire on guard duty.

Fortunately there were no muggles around when we arrived making for a quick and easy find. Nice lookout. We then set off for a little walk to Wondabyne.

I had attempted this 4 times before finally discovering it. The previous attempts were not DNF's, but DNS(earch). I made 2 attempts today and found it in the first 30s of the search. Nice to finally get it.

Attempt cache #5 @ 2:00pm

We stopped in for this one and stood around in the harsh sun and heat whilst we waited for the muggles to move on, once all was clear we went into cache mode but a couple minutes later another large group of muggles pulled up and docked, so we abandoned the cache and went for our much needed lunch. Will try again on my next return this way.

Had to wait for a few happy snappers but mr bloopy soon had this in hand and we were on our way. Cheers!

Well, its still there and, yes, searching in the daytime would be a good idea. It would be hard to spot this one at night.

After saying that it took about 15 minutes before I could get at it.

attempted with cherryred, it was dark and many muggles were flying past. with dim torchlight and cars stopping, there was only so long crouching and hiding from veiw-admiring muggles could be sustained. after 30mins or so searching we gave up, might retry in the light..arrrhh!!

Dude, SkAttA BrAiNs had the easy job! We both started the search before SB ran back to the car for a torch, but then a dribble of muggle cars turned up and, rather than explain what we were doing, SkAttA became a sightseer and I pressed myself a cold, wet rock and hoped nobody would notice. Apparently a couple of amorous muggles were standing right above me, but I was too afraid to look up. In the end we just made a dash for the car.

Almost gave up as I didn't know what I was looking for. A glance in the right direction saved the day.
Signed the log.

We have driven past here many times but there was always cars packed near GZ. It was wet today so we took the opportunity to get this one. There is normally a nice view from here but not today.TFTC.

A nicely located Cache. The Muggle factor can be a bit of a pain, although the view made it easy to pass the time until they left. Thanks for taking us there.

We had originally looked for this one prior to the 5pm curfew of the pirates event, however we didn't find it. We decided to have another look for it on our way home from the pirate event armed with a few extra clues we found it. Thanks!
