Description
When driving from Wingham to Tinonee there is a great view (or vice versa); park at the Lookout
AOn the Tinonee to Wingham road, at The Bight. Enjoy the view to the West, looking over the pastures towards Mt Gangat and Mt George. Good views towards Wingham also. Then look towards Taree while finding the geocache.
Be aware of 'lookout' and 'drive-by' muggles.
You could see Kiwarric to the south; but not too many caches to the west.
Just a micro that might be big enough to hold a very small item.
ADDIT: A new property owner, and improvements to his fencing has meant a change of position to the cache, and EVEN a specially built housing - WOW! Thanks!

Today we explored Taree, concentrating on GCA caches and trig points.
Arrived here as the sun was setting and had to wait for several cars to leave before making the find.
Cache and contents in good condition.
Many thanks Graham Cookie for placing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience today.

We were on the way to our event and camping at Diamond Head, so decided to cache our way there through the Taree/Wingham area and surrounds. Beautiful weather (for a change!) in beautiful countryside made for a great start to the weekend, ending the day with a dozen finds and a single DNF. We'll surely back with a more svelte team and vehicle for some higher terrain offerings, hopefully before too long.
Samuel found this, I was looking at the other end. All in good condition.... there are many more written logs than electronic!

TFTC, Great to catch up with the CO and take the chance to log this.
Taken a while to find out how to get back into the app and web programme. All I had to do was log into the Forum again.

Thought we were going to the start of a GC cache when we spotted this. Totally confused about why the mystery cache was at the listed co-ords we didn't get a chance to give it more thought as the farmer nearby arrived for a chat and a spectacular sunset started forming. When we found it was a GCA traditional we were thrilled, we can go back for the GC cache another time. GCA traditionals are as rare as hens teeth up our way.

haha. I stopped down the road and thought, "this isn't as spectacular as I was hoping for". No, I stopped too soon. Now this is spectacular! Great view! Easy cache. Used camera as my cloaking device. TFTC
Well blow me Down with a feather! A week ago I had noticed that I couldn't see this cache, so stopped to have a good look, and couldn't see it anywhere!
This afternoon I stopped on my home from church to chat with a new owner of the property at the top of the hill and after talking about survey markers (one of which is on his property!!) he mentioned that he had found a container when mowing the area around the cattle crush, and pulls the cache out of his car!
It seems the magnets have come off, so will get some more reattached, and then it will be back in play.

Found after I'd just signed up a job in Mondrook. I had a look for this one a few weeks ago but forgot to log the DNF, too worried about the DNF across the road that was replaced the day before.
Anyway, how did I miss it then? God only knows. Thanks Cookie.

A great view as the sun set and I thought it would be on the lookout side of the road at first, but found it quickly on the other at the ramp, wit out the aid of a torch in the lengthening gloom. Thanks Grahame Cookie.
418. Getting toward dark so we had our torches on not that they were needed as Mr Winglen grabbed the cache quickly after watching me do calisthenics in all the wrong spots.

Got to the parking area, to find a muggle in a work ute parked there. This could be a problem. But as the GPS fired up to point over the road a van with trailer arrived behind him and they both drove off. Then it was over the road for a quick find.
A nice lookout with a great view over the river. Thanks Grahame Cookie for this one.

Found at 2.30pm GAFF1. Today it was clear and we could see a long way. The air was crisp and envigorating - lovely views thanks Graham Cookie.
A terrific place for a quick stop to take in the views of the Manning River and find a cache
The cache is holding up well in its sheltered hidey hole.

This was our very first find! Went at night but were waiting for membership so went back the next day to write in it. My son shone his torch straight at it and then went to a different spot to look! Took out a Hong Kong coin, put in a 5 cent coin. Last time I was at the lookout was to see Mc Naught's comet!

Cache no. 2 for today, great lookout. Very small container so only left 5c coin. TFTC
Found it on the way to school, I'm came here before and it wasn't there. Lots of muggles and lots of my teachers driving to school so it was a bit embaressing. I can actually see the cache from my bus in the morning and the afternoon so don't think I got dropped off by the bus because my mum was working at the school canteen today so she let me to have a find for the cache and I actually found it straight away. Nice view, thanks for a nice cache Grahame Cookie.
Find #9 of the day @ 23:35. Best part about going for this cache was what I saw on the way here along Ridge Road, Tinonee @ S31 56.105 E152 24.410 - A real live Koala! A first for me, which now eases my suspicion that they only live in zoos or in other captivity. I've been driving for over 10 years and is one of the only native animals I have never seen. Anyway the cache was interesting, not where I expected it to be on approaching the lookout or closer to the GZ itself. Got it after a few minutes - interesting hide. Thanks for the Hunt Must return here in daylight to appreciate what was probably quite a view.
