Off the main river track about 3-4 km SE of Koondrook
We had an easter egg hunt, and left a little gift.
The cache theme is easter bunny, I'm sure you'll get my drift
The areas been burnt out you might find a burnt out log
If the rangers flood the island this cache site will be a bog!
Between two tracks near the water is an easter tree that's big (trees are a christmas thing dummy!)
If you go there at the right time, you can pick yourself a f**

Logs
We were undecided about whether to look for this cache or leave it off our list as it had not been found for well over 4 years. As there were no DNF logs, it was a very unloved cached and it was a GCA cache we decided to include it.
After carefully making our way into the area we walked the last 50m to GZ where we spotted the tree mentioned in the hint. The area was very dry and the vegetation that had once been very tall was now crunching under our feet. When we were close to the tree we could see that the original had been bulldozed sometime ago and what we could see was regrowth. Would the cache still be there?
We circled the tree then began a systematic search from the outer edge of the tree to the centre. After a while one of us hit a stump. On peering in we could see what appeared to be the base of a pink box. Carefully we turned it over using a walking pole then lifted it out. Under the remains of the box was a collection of swaps in varying condition and a folded log sheet that was still useable. The container was beyond saving so we have left a replacement. We were pleased to be able to add our name to the log sheet.
The cache container is now a black preform tube with a green lid and contains a log only. Look for an old stump.
Thanks for the cache Eat_Cache we enjoyed our visit to this spot and hope to come back when we are next in the area. We hope that other cachers will look for this cache now that it has been found again after such a long time.

Cleaning up a few caches close to home. After clearing Barham/Koondrook of our map, had to find this one. Found quickly, then along the bush track east to another cache & into Cohuna. TFTF SL
By the way, this shows up as in NSW, maybe CO can change to Vic & it might get more finds.

Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1700.Love these isolated caches and this one didn't disappoint, the Mrs decided we would not be able to find our way back out but that didn't happen. The cache is in good condition. There are now 2 noxious weeds here and one is a climbing rose.( How baby hates roses, all types.)SL Tnx eat_cache.
This cache got boggy
So no more bunny
BPA free is the go
But you better believe after many years
That pest tree is a fig
Good as new, Erica did it herself!

As logged below we found this cache today, however it is in need of maintenance. The tin doesn't seal and was full of water and mud and quite a few slugs, and therefore going rusty. Luckily the log book was still dry inside it's ziplock bag. We dried it and cleaned it up as best we could with what we had at hand, and in the short time we had, but it really needs some of the contents replacing, and considering the location maybe the whole container maybe placed inside something waterproof. If no one close is taking care of this cache we could probably go back out and clean it up.
Finally got a chance to go bush this morning and have a look for this one. The location was easy to find, the cache how ever not quite so easy. The area is quite overgrown with Pattersons Curse(Salvation Jane) and Scotch Thistles, it was thankfully though quite trampled down. At first we thought it had probably been trampled by fellow cachers, but after hearing something that sounded quite large take off from the otherside of the tree I'm guessing the trampling had been done by the local wildlife. After much searching by myself and then my daughter, we were about to give up when I decided to have one last look and finally spied a clue which led to me locating the cache Took Pokemon left Santa Peg. Will log seperate maintenance log due to state of cache.
Had an excellent morning cruising barbie boat down the murray to find this cache. Only our second find, so we were all very excited. Nice to find a cache so close to home and the bonus of a new source of yummy food. Thanks Erica

Found the location, however, due to large rainfalls in recent times the area is quite grown over. Had a quick squizz but too much grass (and possibly snakes) to negotiate. Met the placer of this cache who was camping nearby at the time. They had also had trouble refinding it.
Found on our way home on Boxing Day. Nice easy find. Took lolly wrapper, beer bottle cap and hald finished crossword and left a few items. TFTC

Found by Roma and Max.
Well this one had our “all knowing†Garmin auto routing, voice prompting receiver totally confused as to how to approach GZ. We just turned it off and used always reliable OziExplorer to navigate the tracks in!
What an unusual and beautiful tree, but not yet quite the time for a feed!
We swapped a Mondo for a Cat Bell.
Thanks eat_cache for placing this cache.

This cache is located in a lovely spot.
But a great pity about the contents of this cache, they desperately need upgrading.
Took: nothing.
Left: nothing.
