Well done Grumbligrot....great to see the cache is all ok after such a long time.
Found on our trip to my old childhood town of Tarraleah.
WOW was surprised to see this cache after being unloved for over 4 years. It is is very good condition probably due to the location of the hide.

Today whilst working at Ouse i had extra time up m sleeve to travel back North so it was decided id come back via Wayatinah and Tarraleah then back from Bronte park to the Great Lake Hotel. I grabbed a hand full of caches along the way to make the drive more enjoyable.
GPS was jumping around but eventually made the Find. TFTC

An impressive location and the hairy highland cattle opposite were cool! TFTC!

My Garmin had GZ out on the grass, but I expanded my search from there. I couldn't find a cache. Perhaps I was meant to crawl under the pipes, but the 1.5 star rating did not indicate this. Anyway, I couldn't keep my non-caching passenger waiting any longer and declared this a DNF.
Heading West this week for work and I remembered that this one was here for a change, I have in the past forgot and driven right passed it.
But today a quick pull off the road to change drivers right next to GZ after a short search I was adding my name to the logbook. cache was well hidden and in good condition.
Thanks for the cache.

sirius Tas thank you for the cache it was an easy find while staying at Tarraleah.
On our way to the lakes in search of the HEC series. Can never go past Tarraleah when we are in the area.
We first found the remains of the original hide and then found the replacement cache. Thanks Sirius and Budgie.

We decided on a family drive in perfect weather. Leaving around 0930, we went up through the midlands and turned off at Oatlands (we chose this road rather than the one at Tunbridge because the egg had not driven this road before) to head through to Interlaken, then onto Great Lake and Miena, continuing on the Marlborough Road to Bronte Park and then home via Tarraleah followed by a well earned pub meal at Ouse. We arrived home at 2215 after a wonderful day. This was our last cache find for the trip. A quick look and the egg found it. I just love all the Hydro pipe, canals, dams and yeah the big shockies too! TFTC

Found on our whirlwind tour of the West Coast in between the Bingo Cache Race frenzy.
The pipes are impressive and we could hear the water rushing through. TFTC

I was wondering which bits were the shockies...they were big pipes alright. After wilco commented first, I was surprised that the water inside could be heard. Good cammo on the container, not bad for an instant replacement cache (thanks budgietas). Another good little break on the return journey after our big walk up Mt King William I. Thanks sirius.
Thanks for bringing us here. Very interesting spot. Could hear the water running through the pipes. TFTC.

A huge thank you to Budgie and Old Saint for kindly replacing the cache....cheers guys....ST.
Well this cache was a problem.
Arrived for my second visit to the GZ to find the pine tree that was mentioned in previous logs cut to ground level. So searching the tree was going to be impossible.
So I rang 2ys to confirm it was in the tree - oh it was - that means trouble.
Oldsaint who was with me for the drive rang Sirius to find out if he would like us to replace the container. Permission obtained I quickly got a silver magnetic eclipse tin from the car.
This was hidden at S42 18.306 E146 26.379. You might need to reach behind

Looked for this between showers on our way in to visit Tarraleah. The GPS couldn't make up it's mind where it wanted us to go. Whichever side of the pipe we were on the GPS decided it must be on the other side had a fairly good look using the hint as a guide but didn't come up with the goods. Sorry we are so long logging this but have been out of wifi range for several days and are now trying to catch up. It is obvious someone is spending a lot of money around Tarraleah trying to attract tourists. Thanks sirius Tas for showing us these amazing shockies......we can imagine the amount of water that must come down to require such protection.
Our previous visit to this area was the day before this cache was reactivated. Today was our first opportunity to return. We were surprised at the number of tourists visiting Tarraleah today - it was quite busy. We were able to make a quick find and not draw too much attention from those driving by. TFTC Sirius
A nice easy find in a dry hidey hole. Further tree damage should not be a problem. Wow, what big shockies. Thanks

Logging an "Unarchived" log will activate an archive cache listing. This one should be good to go now.
This cache has been temporary disabled for over 90 days, so we will be archiving it to de-clutter the database.
When the cache is ready to be activated again the owner can place a 'published' log and it will go live

Unable to locate, there has been a large part of the tree that has broken off and been cleaned up, spent quite some time in, up, and around branches but gave up eventually.
As with the previous log - spent a while searching, but couldn't find the cache. It may have been lost - or maybe I just didn't look hard enough.
Interesting spot though - thanks!

Searched for some time. The location has been broken and trimmed so perhaps the cache has gone...? We enjoyed our visit anyway...TFTC

Got the shock of the feature at 1705hrs. used to live near here. Thanks for taking me back. TFTC and cheers OldSaint.
With such an obvous location for the placement I thought that this would be an easier find. Still, got there in the end. TNLN thanks for the cache Siriustas
Crikey !! That's not something you expect to see while cruising along on the highway
The shockers absorbed my attention.
I tried to listen in to see if anything was happening, but all I got was a cold ear from pressing it to the metal.
The cache provided some entertainment too !! I think it was 3 and a half laps of the little pine tree before I managed to see the cache and find a way in .

Visited this town about 4 years ago - amased how much has changed - things are certainly on the up and up now - great place, beautifully restored. Found cache pretty easily when using the same principle as TeamSwampy. Thanks for the hunt, sirius Tas.

Great to have a cache take you off the main road to see something a bit different. We dropped into town first to see the big pipes going into the power station and then the perfect weatherboard houses.
Back at the cache location, Darren nearly took his eye out in the rush to nab the cache. Ouch! Once the signing duties were down, it was off to the Franklin River.

Found on a chilly, but crystal clear day.
I'm amazed at how well the remaining buildings at Tarraleah have been kept. Fantastic to see Tassies Hydro heritage is in good hands.
I used to be fascinated by the 'big shockies' when I was a kid, was great to get close to them again!
Really enjoyed the views from the lookout back up the road near the Lodge.
Thanks for the excuse to stretch my legs!

Found on my way home late at night. After letting the GPSr run me around the place, decided to adopt the "WWIPI" principle and found it in 30 seconds.

Found this one on our way up to the lakes to do some fishing.
Mr red tag kept watch while I crawled around on all fours doing the looking.
Found it fairly quickly and then we were on our way.
Nice, clever hide Sirius, Thanks!

this is a great cache and was the last on our little september school holiday 4-day drive around some bits of Tasmania. left key ring, took tattoos, next time will make sure we leave enough time to go to the cafe and lookout (but today we were in hurry to get home in time for the last episode of Dr Who!) TFTC
Found on a caching trip with Rebulus. I realy was not expecting to find another of Sirius Tas virgin caches again this weekend. It was not planned but a nice surprise. Good spot for a cache and vey well hidden. Exchanged a pen for a different pen. Thanks Sirius.
