Out and about this morning, starting on the beach. Bit windy out there, so we moved inland to Hanslowes Reserve. Second disappointment out here today, but not surprising considering the time between finds. had a red hot look, but nothing came to hand. Probably an unloved one now, belonging to the late robtas. I've been in this area with a few different groups of people, both day and night but had nit made it out to this cache. It was very well hidden and took quite some time to find but persistence paid off. Thanks for another quite old cache robtas

Now this is an area I had been meaning to get to but was always going somwwhere when i was passing but today we made this area our aim for the start of the morning and with the sun beaming down it was a great area to explore.

After a bit of a search the cache found in the end but it was very well hidden after all this time, added our names to the logbook and replaced the cache as found.

Thanks for the cache robtas

We had planned to do the 3 caches in the area last night, so that we could complete our "Traditional Night Podcacher" trophy. So armed with a torch we arrived at the parking area, we decided to do the night cache first then do the other 2 caches in the area.
after completing the night cache in the area we headed along the trail to find this cache, we had raised our difficulty of finding this cache by trying to find it in the dark.
there were so many different trails leading off the track so a wise decision was made to GPS the car incase we accidentally took the wrong track coming back out.
The trusty GPS guided us to the ground zone where using the hint and some scouting around the cache was eventually found, you could tell it hadn't been found in a while as it was fairly well buried. Signed the log and it was off back to find the last cache to complete our trophy series. TFTC Very HappyClan Cerberus

Saw a couple of cachers down this way and thought I'd have time to grab them. No problems as it turned out as both caches were quickly found. Was getting late in the day so I didn't dawdle on the way back to the car.

Thanks for this one RobTas...

On this steamy cloudy day we were wandering around the tracks in the reserve. The day previous we'd paddled up the Leven river and thence up the Gawler tributary but a bit earlier in the day - like when there was water in the Gawler. With the tide out it was just a trickle. Anyway the cache was soon located and is in good condition. Nice and dry inside. A pleasant little reserve to wander around.

02-Apr-16
replaced it today

Unfortunately did not find this one today Brick Wall . Did do a bit of bush bashing ducking and weaving through the undergrowth. Had to practise our Spiderweb ninja moves Laughing . Might have to give this one another go when we head back to attempt Chicken Little.

Well third time lucky on this one, found it at last! This time we found it straight away. Makes a difference when it's there to be found. Laughing TFTC

Hi robtas
Have been wanting to do this cache for a long time.
However, my navigation skills would never get me close to the walk of the track. The TomTom kept putting me on the other side of the river.
However, today I had more time and decided to navigate myself - eventually arrived at the trail head and started the walk.
Never been in here before but totally enjoyed the little sojourn.
Got to ground zero and logged the well stocked cache at 1242hrs.
From here it was off to complete a find on "Chicken Little."
TFTC and cheers
Oldsaint.

Hi robtas, good to see the bears are back out.Found today on a walk with daughters.Added a care bear to the now very full cache.Cheers

12-Jan-13
An interesting and well stocked cache. Left the 3 bears there. Made hide a bit more secure as when reaching into retrieve cache it disappeared further into the hollow. TFTC.

22-Dec-12
Wandered out to this cache while in teh area on a Christmas Family Mission.

Didn't understand the cache name until I opened the lid.... No chair as well????

06-Dec-12
Its back in a different position and smaller than before. Clapping

14-Nov-12
Something wrong with co-ords will check next week, sorry guys...........

14-Nov-12
Can we get confirmation on the coords please? The posted coords tried to take me into a farm past electric fences and in reach of guard dogs that wanted to eat me

25-Oct-12
Looks like robtas has maintained the cache!

(this note is placed here to remove this cache from our admin queue)

Good job Rob!

25-Oct-12
replaced cache a few days ago to S41° 8.401' E146° 6.917'
hopefully it will stay a while

24-Oct-12
It's been over an year since a find and 2ystassies could not find it after having found it previously.

Obviously it is gone and either needs replacing or archiving

01-Sep-12
We found a large pile of shrubbery which was probably used to hide the cache, but unable to find it Think

03-Jan-12
Taking new cacher around Ulverstone today and as we had several nice bears wanting new homes thought we'd visit this cache. Alas only a large indentation in the sticks and leaves as noted in the log of October. This cache has gone. Would be worth an owner visit as we didn't have a large enough container with us. Would be a pity if this cache were to disappear.

30-Oct-11
Found a drier rectangular patch in the bark and leaf litter but no cache. It mustn't have been gone long because the rain last night was fairly heavy. We had a moveable bear to leave too! Brick Wall

06-Jun-11
Easy find - could hardly miss it couldn't bear to part with any of my bears so TNLN TFTC

25-Feb-11
Found on first attempt. Nice cache, well covered.
Took Bowling Pin Man
Left Spotty Lion cub thingy

29-Nov-10
The largest cache I've found so far!

Swapped a Snuffy for a Bowling Pin Man. Neither are technically bears, but close enough I hope.

TFTC!

27-Nov-10
woo hoo this is what you could call a BIG cache. Easy find today as it was very exposed. Maybe the locals (native chooks) like it as well. We left it covered and hope it stays that way. TNLNSL, Thanks 3day and gorbak for a top cache

26-Nov-10
There is plenty of room in this cache for more bears but unfortunately I didn't have any to leave. Nice to see that this cache has not been destroyed by the local mugglers.

03-Apr-10
Love this cache and the area. Dropped in a bear keyring

30-Jan-10
First find for the day after a couple of DNF's.

This sure is a BIG cache, surely the biggest I have found.

Nice area, might come back with a fishing rod at high tide to see how I go.

TNLN saw a few Bears, cleaned out box from bark etc.

25-Jan-10
quick find on way to chicken little didnt have a bear to swap unfortunately

22-Jan-10
When the description indicated it was a large cache, I wasn't expecting such a large cache. Plenty of room for lots and lots of bears. Located rather quickly.

20-Jan-10
Great cache, but as with previous log shame that bears are being muggled or taken and being replaced. We had no swaps so we took nothing. Next time we are over this way I will drop in and place a few bears in this cache.
TFTC

02-Nov-09
Nice cache, BIG container, unfortunately found it pretty depleted of bears, left a largish xmas bear and took the orange bear, have a few spares at home will drop a couple off to make it what it should be, and once was. Sad to think some cachers are not leaving much in return. TFTC

28-Sep-09
I think we might have to come back to this one and do a swap at some point. We had a few teddy bears but thought they'd all be too large for the container... turns out we were wrong! TNLNSL.

27-Sep-09
After a short stroll we found the cache with no problems. This is by far the largest cache container we found. Didn't have any bears with us today, so swapped nothing. Signed the log and continued on our way.

21-Jun-09
LOL WOW now thats a big one......lol

Nice easy find after a short look off the beaten track

All is well at GZ......shovel/rake back in geomobile after recovering cache.......lol

11-May-09
I could not believe my eyes when I found this one. Am surprised it still remains intact but I suppose preveious finders have been doing a good job of rehiding. Have tried to cover it up but would need half the bush to do a good job. TNLN Thanks

20-Mar-09
who sez size dont matter!!! nearly need backhoe to restash cache!!!!

02-Feb-09
Biggest cache I could ever imagine, and full of bears as well.
I let the GPS do the talking and GeoJen & I did the walking together with Thistlecat and a couple of the youngsters from Gryffs Pack.
It took GeoJen's sharp eyes to spot it from a distance of about 10 metres.
Having no bears I took nothing and left nothing.
TFTC

02-Feb-09
Found in between drizzly showers. The very big bear has come home to live with us - I did try to talk the junior cachers out of it, but they were having none of that! We have left a traditional style jointed teddy in his place known only as "Orange Bear"! Find him a home and please do give him a better name!
TFTC

27-Jan-09
Found after not-so-good GPS reception caused us to wander around in the wrong spot. There was indeed a really big bear in there!! Quite a nice little reserve, too, never knew it was here. TFTC.

20-Dec-08
Great cache! Left the big bear facing up for a better view. Can't somebody find him a home?

Thanks

They say ther's a bear in there... and so there was! Fantastic cache!

03-Nov-08
WOW - I built a day around caching with the kids with this cache as the end "prize", we weren't dissapointed. Well stocked cache - and large - HUGE - HUGE MUNGUS cache. Left a Beanie Baby bear, Pink Bear, Knight and Capacino Coffee Sachtel.
Took Christmas Bear, Congrats bear and Koala bear, and car. Also took TB. Wasn't I surprised to find that. Hope to take this bug for a big travel.
wonderful spot.

26-Aug-08
Robtas, I'm impressed... quality *and* quantity! This is the sort of cache that I'm in it for. I arrived at twilight, and managed to take the low road when I probably should've taken the high road, but enjoyed a marvellous walk aroud the water's edge, before finding the cache! And what a cache! Excellent!

I dropped off Kahu and RUSS TBs, and Anti-Micro-Otics GC, but have recorded them as being in "Bottom End of Ulverstone" (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC181ME). I was so excited about discovering a nice big cache where they would have some company I forgot it wasn't a GC cache. Oops...

27-Jun-08
Found this cache previously as the other half of Boagsratz but now cache as a lone ranger. TFTC! Blind Betty.

27-Jun-08
An enjoyable walk on a fairly overcast day. Were surprised by a muggle walking her dog, probably wondering what type of mischief we were up to in the scrub. We didn't have any bears, beers, or anything to leave, so we just signed log and admired the sheer volume of the thing!!! We shall return with a beer, or a bear another day! Thanks for the cache!!!

09-Jun-08
The area was damp and the clouds didn't help the GPSr accuracy much, however how could I possibly miss this cache! Lottie wanted to grab a bear - she kept calling it 'her puppy' - but I wouldn't let her as I know what she does to her 'puppies'!

Thank you for the cache robtas!

02-Jun-08
What a beautiful spot! Loved the walk, little chics thought they were in an enchanted forest. Loved it.

01-Jun-08
Found this cache on the way home from a cub scout camp that is close to Ulverstone. The older CEyrettes were sound asleep when we pulled up in the car park and upon stirring really didn't want to go but youngest two were keen to find the teddies. The park is a great place to explore with small children, lots of paths to wander around and rotting logs to explore. We went right out to the point where the multi may be and enjoyed the views. The scouting influence must have rubbed off on the CEyrettes as they were keen to put tents around the fireplace.
Found the large cache on the way back and having being prepared with swap bears the kids adopted/liberated a couple of orphan bears. We made our way back to the sleeping Ceyrettes and spouse and drove happily home naming the orphan bears.
Thanks Robtas for the adventure in another part of Ulverstone that we had not known of.

This is a quick way to log a few finds (10) BUT when you type like me you need to take all the shortcuts you can!!

With rebulus and gspblu we were able to locate and log this cache as part of our FEB ‘08 NUMBERS RUN.
Huge cache full of some huge bears.
Thanks robtas for being one of the 24 cache owners that made our trip a success.

23-Feb-08
This cache was found as part of our
FEB 08 NUMBERS RUN along the north coast between
Somerset and Launceston
Thanks robtas for placing this cache so as to make this trip possible for us to do.

23-Feb-08
The seed for this "FEB 08 NUMBERS RUN" germinated during our South Coast Chaos walk and now we have done it.
Finished work as early as possible, not early enough, on Friday and set of for Somerset. Managed about two hours sleep/rest and started 00:00 and finished at 23:54 today.
We had relaxed breaks for breakfast, lunch and dinner and achieved our goal with only nine DNFs, no injuries and were still smiling at the end.Big Grin
Lots of Bears.
Thankyou for this cache

29-Jan-08
No problems finding it, it's hard to disguise such a large cache! Didn't have a bear on me today, but there certainly was a bear (or few) in there! TNLNSL. Thanks robtas.
