Description
Logs
Today on a rainy winters day we decided to hunt down a few caches between Wynyard and penguin with this being one we wanted to find. We pull off in the parking spot near the ground zero and walked along the path to the cache. Once at ground zero the cache was very easily spotted. We signed the log and back to the ute before the rain got heavier. TFTC

quick easy find on this freezing cold evening at a place we have frequented many thousands of times. approx 50 metres from where my in-laws live and my husband grew up. thank you cache is in great condition
A quick find close to home. My dad loved to fish from just near here. A photo is attached of what is left of the old Cam River bridge. This was pulled down nearly fifty years ago!

This cache was found opened lying in the grass near several items of rubbish. I retrieved a small log book and laminated geocache printout and re-hid it under....at the co-ordinates.
A quick easy find on a work day. Dont tell the boss who just happens to be Mrs Landy_clan, hahahahah. Great location as always. TFTC.
Hi Sirius - Found this cache at 1712hrs in company of my cousin's hubby, most interested in our sport. Great spot to fish I reckon. TFTC and cheers OldSaint.
Whilst the mini helper was looking in the obvious (but wrong) place I quickly grabbed the cache and had the log signed before he even realised I had it.
And all found. This cache is one that I have wanted to find because of it's beautiful location and today was an absolute pearler. The finding time was late afternoon (after TAFE) and the sunlight was reflecting across the Cam estuary that was peaking at high tide, under the board walk.......After a reflection upon the reflections and where the cache could possily be when seated at the nearby bench I resumed my search and found the cache in its typical caching hidey place. Thanks Sirius for bringing me to a place to unwind after the long day.
Cache has been diasabled for more than 90 days.
We are archiving this until it gets replaced to keep the database tidy.
Sirius, you can re-enable the cache by posting an 'Unarchived' log once you have replaced the cache.

While looking for this cache a friendly local fisherman came to do a spot of fishing and asked if we were looking for a plastic box.
He then informed us that it was found approximately 6mths ago washed up on the bank. They did make an effort to inform the owner through geocaching.

While searching for this one a friendly fisherman informed us they had found the cache around 6 months ago washed out on bank but were unable to get in contact with persons involved in caching
A pleasant enough spot to walk along though the path is too short, will the council ever extend the path further upstream?
Unfortunately the cache is not where I looked even though the area is bare due to the recent high water.

We went looking but failed to come up with the goods. Not sure if the rain has swept it away. Will keep an eye out and head back if someone finds it.

Found this last month, but forgot to log it (oops). Had to search around a little bit as it was small, but made the finding of it all the more enjoyable.
Found on a return trip from seeing Santa.

First find this morning in the rain. There wasn't nearly as much little as at the others I found in the area, however there was a female undergarment tucked in with the cache?!?

With rebulus and gspblu we were able to locate and log this cache as part of our FEB ‘08 NUMBERS RUN.
Our first cache for the trip. Nice and easy and only 500 metres from our hotel.
Thanks again sirius Tas for being one of the 24 cache owners that made our trip a success.

No 1
The seed for this "FEB 08 NUMBERS RUN" germinated during our South Coast Chaos walk and now we have done it.
Finished work as early as possible, not early enough, on Friday and set of for Somerset. Managed about two hours sleep/rest and started 00:00 and finished at 23:54 today.
We had relaxed breaks for breakfast, lunch and dinner and achieved our goal with only nine DNFs, no injuries and were still smiling at the end.
Thankyou for this cache sirius Tas

Yes sirius, it has not been muggled. Following our emails, went and had a look today, and found it within 1 minute less than 0.3 metres from both GZ by my GPS and where I found the glass jar. In good condition, obviously you have replaced the logbook, and double ziplock bagging has done the trick. Many thanks for the cache.
Arrived at high tide and high river, and found within 0.2 metres of GZ an empty 125ml screwtop glass jar without a lid on open view. Strongly suspect that the cache has ben muggled. As this was within 10 seconds of arriving I did not look, and so are not reporting a DNF until advised by sirius. Could the cache be checked and if still in place will actually look for it.
Thanks heaps boagsratz for your maintenance. Looks like I need to change container as it's been wet before.Kind regards.
Well, finally! We called in today for another look, I'd love to say I found it but I was busy having a girls look somewhere else when Aus found it. Mind you, I looked in that spot last time but said 'eek and yuck' and moved on. (that's my disclaimer *wink*)
Was very happy to NOT get bitten by any spiders this time though!
Cache was very very wet - gave us the perfect opportunity to go to the bottleshop, grab a couple of beers and some chips and dry the contents while sitting and chatting. Very nice indeed.
A couple of fisher muggles passed through, a couple of kiddies on bikes stopped for a chat - it was a very relaxing space to be in. Thanks for the cache! (Oh, we removed the back cardboard page of the log book cos it still wasn't dry after an hour)

Nope, didn't find it. Had to wait for some school kid muggles to exit the area. Looked under lots of things, but not under the 'right' thing. Got bitten by a spider (OUCH!) on my ankle. Will come back and have another shot at it. Wearing long socks next time!
* late edit for humorous comment... Told Austin about my adventures today and the dastardly spider.
His comment: 'did you wash it with soap?'
My answer: 'no, but I spat on it and rubbed it.'
After telling me some gruesome story of the venom rotting my flesh away I washed it with soap. So far my foot and leg are still attached. Must have worked.

Found after a lot of head scratching.
Cache was full of water but log nice and dry inside snap lock.
Dried cache out and moved on.

We looked in all the obvious spots, figured that because the 'surroundings' were so new, it may have been muggled, but upon reading sirius' log, once back home, I guess we didn't look hard enough...oh well, another day.... cheers.
Nearby so checked this one...all is well and where originally placed.Look harder.
had two goes at this one today no luck looked"under"
the whole thing . It was obvious where it should have been but it was not to be found. I think it has gone.

Congrats on your find Dippedidooda, and you can definitely log a FTF.Have emailed FF to edit their log but no reply. Thanks for your log.Cheers
What a lovely spot, pulled up nearby the day before but a couple of fisher muggles were right there, so left it to try again another time. I drive by there every time I go visit Mum and Dad, but the path has only been finished since my last visit. It's very nice and you can look across and see the remains of the old Cam Bridge that was part of the original highway.
Tried again yesterday and coast was clear, so found it and logged. I found that there were no other logs in the book, and also given FF's log I wonder if she in fact meant to do a DNF??? (And that would mean that this would indeed be a FTF???). NIce placement, nice cache. Thanks siriustas.

well we looked in the obvious spot near trail head and nothing there to our eyes.
