Thanks for the Sirius Tas. RLD4963 and I were staying nearby for a couple of days and we were keen to explore the Fern Glade Reserve as neither of us had been here before. It was a beautiful morning and we enjoyed exploring the area and finding quite a few caches. In addition, it's always nice to find a GCA cache that hasn't been found in over 3 years - in exactly the place you expect it to be, and in top condition. Thanks for placing a cache here, we thoroughly enjoyed the walk.

Was in the area yesterday, but came back today for this walk. No problems and once at GZ, the cache was in hand....although it a few minutes to locate....but all was good and the log signed...
Nice area and cool walk...thanks ST....

Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Today we headed out to try and find the remaining caches around Burnie.
The weather was kind and the areas we visited really pretty. We are just loving our visit to Tassie.

First day of winter and what better way to celebrate than to find a couple of caches. Overcast but not raining, perfect weather for a stroll in the bush. We knew this track was here but had never attempted it before. Made a quick find at GZ, container had some water in the bottom but contents were dry. TFTC
Hi Sirius this was another walk you have taken me on that i didnt know existed.Have been to the lower reserve a few times and walked to the upper reserve.Good short walk looking down on the river through the breaks in the trees on a well formed track.Cheers
Hi sirius
I loved this walk.
The tinkling of water as the river ran to the sea, trout playing in the rapids and being able to talk to a family about caching.
Took a little time for the GPS to settle but eventually signed the log at 1123hrs.
Thanks sirius for another great cache.
Cheers OldSaint.

Arrived at parking area yesterday and set off, got 100 m down the track and decided it wasn't safe to keep going in the cyclonic winds. Returned today early morning and had a pleasant stroll to GZ. Not a muggle in sight. TFTC.

Fine and sunny wasn't a bad start for Winter and made for an enjoyable walk back into my teenage fishing years in the upper reaches of Fern Glade. Saw only 2 muggles searching for their lost dog halfway to GZ. A fairly quick find and log before heading back to see that the muggles had located their dog 30m below on the river's edge. I didn't stop to see if they went down or the dog climbed up as morning tea awaited me at my parents place 5 minutes drive away. Yum -home-made chocolate fudge!
Great area for a cache

Oh what a difference being a little way off the beaten track makes to the number of cache finds! This is a great area to walk through, so it is a pity that more people don't make the walk to this cache. Took a little searching and we found the resident echidna before we located the cache, but it was an obvious spot once we spotted it!! T yellow marker L yellow frog bracelet. TFTC

Lovely walk along this track on a misty day, when we got to GZ and looking around this black dog came running really fast straight towards us we thought we would surely get bailed over but he stopped at us and then turned around and ran to his owner, lol. Abit wet and slippery today. Great cache thanks. TNLN
We enjoyed our walk to GZ can't believe no one has been here for 11 months. All is well at GZ TNLN TFTC
We enjoyed a lovely walk here and found the cache without too much difficulty in what turned out to be the more obvious of the many places we searched near to GZ.
Time was running short after finding the nearby GC Plattacat so jogged along the track towards this cache in the rapidly darkening evening. I am really looking forward to returning to this area in the next TAFE block of study as the river and track proved to be a refreshing break from study. As always Sirius you know where ideal areas to explore and the cache location proved to be a small adventure. Many thanks for this enjoyable cache.
Once we found the right track, it was a lovely easy walk in a pleasant environment. A good way to start the day.
started off a lovely walk, until the rain gods decided to unleash a bit (lot) of rain as we were about 100m in we kept going. Found cache logged in and headed back to geomobile.
We must've looked a sight, as we were wet from top to toe lol.

The track has still got a few trees across it from the storm in September, but they are easy to walk around or under. Had to replace cahe rather quickly as a bunch of school kids on mountain bikes were heading towards me. Signs of the large cleanup that the council had to do after the storm is still evident in the area.
I went to have a look but large logging trucks prevented access to the park as they were part of the clean up of debris from the fierce storm a couple of Sundays ago.
nice little walk, then a nice little search because gps wasn't behaving

What a lovely walk alongside the river.
It reminded me of the walk into Aztec King and it's one of my favourites.
Huge thanks sirius. Its a pity this cache doesn't get done more often as its excellent

Trickier than it should have been, but that was probably because we started off in the wrong carpark, for some reason. GPS led us along a narrow and dubious track that threatened a plunge into the river at every step. Doubted this was the right way, so we went back to the car. Spotted another track just as we were leaving, which turned out to be a lot more pleasant, and thankfully the right one. Lost GPS reception under the trees and bumbled around blindly for a bit in completely the wrong spot. Eventually found GZ, searched again in the wrong spot. Was getting very hot and hungry by this point, but at last the cache was found only a couple of metres away!
Logged, took TB and went home to eat. Caching hunger satisfied at least...

Feel like another run so I parked at the parking spot and ran to the cache.
Took a long time to find but I got it in the end.
Took nothing, left TB (Oops - I've logged it into Plattacat Returns so it can be found).
Now run back to the car. Thanks sirius

Lovely walk - cache found easily but it was wet! Dried but needs cliplock to stay in the little runoff spot it is in.

This cache was previously a multi...but has now reverted to a traditional due to missing sign...many thanks to 3DG for the info.Cheers.
The sign at the start has gone, but the owner was kind enough to provide coordinates for GZ.
Nice walk up and down along river, and logical spot for the cache.
Many thanks.

Nice pleasant walk to he cache, but I had to leave the geotrail to log the cache as I did not have ams 6 metres long! TNLNSL TFTC
Well, we headed off to do this and plattacat. Found plattacat no probs, then went to find this. Think we must have been reading the wrong sign! Anyway, we got our coords from the one near the gate and started off on the walk. And what a walk it was! In the end the girls gave up. Having hiked up hill and down dale, (mostly up hill) the only fit one of us informed us that there was STILL further to go. And it was all up hill. Jelly legs over ruled our desire to find the cache so the girls voted to turn back. Guess we'll just have to go back and have another shot!
It was a very big walk. I got bitten by a bull-ant. Then I was climbing, and I moved a rock, slipped and the rock came with me and hit me on the head. I took the geocoin to move it on. Thanks.
I really enjoyed this one. It's a lovely walk and I don't think I've been on this upper section before. After Coco-Pop had a few run-in's with rocks and bull-ants we found, logged and walked back. Thanks very much.
A very pleasant walk from wpt1 where i had not been before. My gps is playing up but once I got to the spot, I thought it has to be there, and there it was(thank goodness).Need to watch your footing after the recent rain.
Left geocoin. Finder will need to retrieve from Robtas.
Thanks Sirius.
