Picked up while camping at Policeman's point, TFTC

I looked and didn't see it but the goose spotted it and made the find

As part of a big trip up to the far North Eest of Tassie, can we call that FNET like the QLD'rs do? anyway myself and goose booked a few nights in digs in Branxholm so we could search for more out of the way caches this weekend.

We took a few minutes to locate this cache as we were too focused on the ground. I spotted the cap and was soon reaching for it. Thanks ST

#GA4089 - 14:35; This cache has been on my 'to do' list since I first joined GCA in early 2013. I lived in the general area for many years in my youth and my first job after leaving school was fencing the boundaries of the Mt William National Park. Finally made it out there today to grab the required snaps of the nearby trig and then add my name to the log book for this cache. After amassing a couple of long periods of being 'unloved', it has now been found twice in three months! Brought back a lot of memories visiting the area today with the geomum and geohoney. Cache in good condition. Happened to be a trig to log as well. Always a bonus.

Hello sirius Tas thank you for the cache.

Today I drove up from Hobart and dropped my wife and her friend off at the One Night Stand concert in St Helens.

As I had some time for caching I came up and found your cache.
It wasn't straight forward though, the sun had just set and I was on my way back from finding the trig point and nearly back to the car when I realised there was your cache near the trig so I turned around and went back to find it.
A very nice spot.

We arrived (through the mud & slush) and parked to find one camper in residence. Much of the campsite area had "road closed" access - that had clearly been ignored. We followed our noses to the beach & of course lost sight of the trig. So up over the dunes. "There it is" - but not this way as the scrub felt more like a brick wall. Back to the beach & we found a more beaten path that got us to our goal. Then we followed what may well have been wallaby tracks back to the campsite.

We thought we'd turned this into a T3 with the route we took, but on reading previous logs perhaps that's the way everyone goes.

After Christmas lunch at the mother-in-law's in Ansons Bay, took an afternoon drive and found a couple of caches. We've spent a few Christmases camped here, but not for a few years now. TNLN. TFTC.

I certainly made it hard for myself. Searched all around the bushes in thongs for half an hour before making the find.

Found on a fine but very windy day at Ansons Bay. One other car nearby today but can imagine this place would be packed in summer. A great beach, and great views from the cache and nearby trig. Many thanks sirius Tas for the hide Very Happy

Found with cached, wackeys, and Lizzie and Bruce.

There had been quite a deal of rain overnight and, as a result, we had to drive through numerous wide but shallow puddles as we approached GZ. We got rather wet as we pushed through the wet vegetation towards GZ. Once at GZ a quick find was made. Then back to the car to dry off a little. The low cloud and mist made for an interesting view towards the mouth of Ansons Bay, very different to what we have seen on previous visits. TFTC sirius.

Found in the company of weroamin whilst enjoying camping in the area. Had a jaunt on the bay in the boat but no fish caught! TFTC.

Not a good one to attempt in the dark. Took quite a bit of finding. Found a track back that looked more promising than the beach and dune approach we made to get there. Came out right in the middle of a camp. Their tea [bbq] sure smelt good. Had a quick chat. Can't believe how many tent campers we have spotted - don't these people know it's Tasmania and winter!!! Thanks.

Was a bit worried when I saw Cached hadn't found it, but it was tucked away nicely in its hiding spot.
Although I regularly visit St. Helens, I've never been up to Ansons Bay. Beaut spot, though if I had a shack up here I think I'd prefer Binalong Bay!
Spent the night it the camp grounds, they were packed.
Also a hint to future finders, go via the shoreline - if you attempt to bush bash for the camp sites your likely to come across some makeshift toilets...

Found this one quite easily with fellow cachers-to-be who said they would never have come here if I hadn't of needed to find this cache. They are coming home to sign up and get started straight away.

Marvellous view from up here of the river and river entrance on a windy, overcast but muggy day.

A tourist drowned here recently. It's difficult to understand why today though. The sun was shining, muggles were camping and fishing, and the water didn't look at all dangerous.
This is the first time any of us have been here.

Thanks Sirius Tas.

Found this on our great Tasmanian Cache Hunt. Sorry for the lack of detail but all caches found were great.

Arrived and saw a van like mine but fitted out better.
Went to the cache along the beach then cut uphill. Weather still terrible - wind had picked up quite a bit.
Found easily but good hide nonetheless, TNLN as tried to keep everything dry with all the rain and mist around.
Thanks siriusTas - this turned out to be #600 for me.

I've just done Lightem Up Eddie where it was beautifully calm (no wind) and here still nice with a light sea breeze. FTF again. The view from here is interesting the guide markers for the entrance channel indicate how treacherous entering the bay could be. Thanks Sirius Tas for bringing me to another beautiful cache location.
