Lovely part of the Port Sorell estuary...great views....just hope it never gets built out like Hawley has.

Had to pick up my boy from Port Sorell today so we decided to grab this one as it was close. Even saw a seal swimming along the channel. TFTC
beautiful still morning for a short cache stroll. The locals thought so too so we had to take care. A quick find TFTC
Fortunately a quick and easy find as two fishing muggles were nearby but they were too busy trying their luck to be bothered with me.

today after finishing a job at Bakers Beach i stopped to grab this cache on my way back to the office. With accurate co-ordinace and a good hint the cache was quickly found.

Out for a drive around the area and this was my next stop. A pleasant little spot to stop for a few minutes....and then grab the cache. Log was signed and all was good.

Found but not before I was caught crawling along the ground by a member of the travelling fishing party from Wynyard! “ what was I looking for?” Mmm “ what was I looking for??” I left in a hurry only to spy another likely hiding spot which was in a much easier place - I should have read the terrain difficultly - yes there it was hiding! It looks like this one might be missing.
The owner can check the location and re-enable the cache by posting an unarchived log if it is there.

We only found a plastic lid, a snaplock bag (minus logbook) and a medal type swap. We didn't have any supplies with us so couldn't replace container & logbook. Needs maintenance but too nice a spot to archive.
We found the remains of the cache, only a plastic lid, a snaplock bag and a swap. We signed our name on the plastic bag but didn't have a replacement container to leave, sorry. Next time we'll take one or maybe the next finder will be able to do it. A lovely location though, worth a cache.
Quick easy find - in fact too easy as the cache was exposed in its spot!
We have added a some coverage to make it not so easily seen by passing muggles.
A pretty little place and freshly cleaned toilets were a bonus.

Looked like it had been vandalized. The contents were scattered and log book wet. This is a beautiful spot, so hopefully you can check on this one sirius.
I'm also afraid that the building has started with a huge new posh looking subdivision started! I hope the area can keep the serenity and warm friendly feeling.

What a lovely place last time I was here was 30 years ago and this time I hardly recognised the place for all the development that has taken place. Found the cache open and visible in what was certainly a birds nesting hole judging by the neatness and composition on it so moved it 20 cm away to similar area. took nothing left silver charm

Lovely spot - no-one about today which was surprising as at Port Sorell and Hawley there were crowds taking advantage of a sunny summer Saturday. Quick easy find. Took floating keyring, left kookaburra. TFTC.

Thought we may have to take a stroll when we first arrived as there were a few muggles in the area, as luck would have it the cache was not in the vicinity of said muggles. A quick find and log was made just in case. T fishing hooks L key float TFTC sirius

Searched and searched and again instinct overrode GPS. Students loved logging this one.

A quick find and log at 1507hrs. Looked in the wrong one to start with and found a small car (put it in the cache) which made me think the cache had been muggled. However, the second held the cache and all was done! TFTC and cheers OldSaint.
It was a nice find while introducing our Geo Lab pup to the water. The history books say the name Squeeking Point came from the sound of young piglets that were penned in the area at the time of settlement.

Apart from a gentle sea breeze, there was no noise - certainly no "squeaking". We wonder where the name "Squeaking Point" came from for this very pleasant location. Once there, it was a quick find.
Found literally with the last dying gasp of the GPS batteries. Figured our last option was to 'think like Sirius'... and it worked!! A beautiful spot and a nice rewarding find to round off the day's caching. Thank you!

Little T found this one easily. Took my mother in-law along to introduce her to caching. Cache in good conditions. Thanks for the cache.

My parents were visiting for the weekend, so we thought we'd show them what this geocaching thing is all about. This is the last cache near to home that we hadn't yet found, so was ideal for the task. It was a nice hide in a nice area, and we had a pleasant stroll around before heading home.
Took glitter, left strawberry eraser. Had a laugh at the CEyre's log entry - we haven't yet moved on from collecting vials of glitter or glitter pens...

A great days caching in this beautiful ‘seaside’ location netted 10 finds and 1 DNF.
Finally got our act together and got a full days caching in, in this neck of the woods.
We have been planning to attempt to find the ‘Port Sorell’ and surrounding caches for quite some time now (when I say we, I’m referring to ‘MM’ and a ‘new’ recruit ‘Shezza&shanks’ a work mate).
As we had more than ‘5’ finds in the one day (which is very rare for the mob), we are taking the easy way out with the logging of them. Write the one log and post it for all the finds…. except the DNF that is….
Thoroughly enjoyed finding every one of these well placed and well hidden caches.
Found the ‘suburban’ caches early, timed it right with the tide to make a dash for the Island caches, had a great lunch at the local fish ‘n’ chip shop and then walked it off doing the ‘multi’ as well as taking the very enjoyable stroll out to ‘Buncle’.
Thanks to ‘ALL’ those who have placed caches in this beautiful area, this was one of the best days caching we’ve had in quite some time…..
TNLNS lots of L’s
PS…… shezza&shanks could be a week or so getting their logs in as they are currently in the middle of ‘moving house’ and haven’t got their computer set up yet.

Found after a lovely lunch with the in-laws who live just up the road. Only middle Eyrette was interested in caching as the cub scout walk this morning up to Carbuncle Island wore out the family so she was the official finder. This area is always a popular area to explore with the CEyrettes when visiting Memere and Pepere. The mudflats were really extensive today with the afternoon low tide and the rain squalls kept the visitors away.
Thanks Sirius for the cache, we are now starting to collect fishing tackle rather than glitter pens!

Went looking for this while doing maintenance on my caches in the area. Typical sirius hide in a great location. cache in good order. Thanks Sirius.
Found fairly easily apart from a muggle on a bike. Nice place, nice hide. Thanx
Great spot as always. Managed to dodge the rain squalls, cache found with #2 son in tow . . TNLNSL thanks Sirius
Great peaceful spot to while away some time
