Hi Sirius,
We decided to go for a drive for something to do so we ventured up here to the Upper Natone Reserve,
on arrival there was a couple of cars with some people playing at the playground while others looked to be out motorbike riding.
we gathered information from the info board and had the coordinates worked out, we decided to drive around the corner to the camping area cache out of site from the people in the park.
A quick find was made at the cam site cache with accurate coordinates, we were suprised there was only one othr name in the logbook,
Then we set off on the Lagoon walk to locate the other cache, as we approached the area we intially looked at the wrong rock, after a breif search we located the cache in its hiding place. signed then headed back to the car.
we were going to grab the GC cache while here but the people were still play on the playground so we headed along to Lake Kara to look for the cache there.
We searched high and low but no cache was found there looks like floods may have claimed this one.
overall 2 finds out of 3 searches wasnt too bad of a night. TFTC

Replaced the damp cache in the same position. Accuracy was 1 to 2m at time of replacement.
Enjoy!

Hi Sirius
This is a marvellous little place. My first time here - THANK YOU!
The info board is very informative as is the plaque next to it.
The walk to the cache is a bit wet and a little slippery in places.
Got to GZ and made a quick find, Sainting the cache at 1532hrs.
Quick walk back to take some pics and then on to next cache.
Loved the platys playing on the water.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.

No chance of finding this one without the coordinates and the hint. A nice walk in the bush on a slightly cool day. Thankfully no leeches!! TFTC

WOW another great Forestry reserve. We have never been here before and we enjoyed the walk. It was quite cool in under the tree canopy. To our surprise the place was almost deserted. Top spot to bring the camper and fish Lake Kara. Thanks ST for the great cache.

Another great spot that we never knew existed. A very pleasant stroll to GZ. What a great place to camp. Thanks for bringing us here and for the cache sirius

Wallabies, pademelons, striped bandicoots, numerous possums, loads of shrimp, possible crayfish, wow it's a zoo out here. I found this cache in the late evening, indeed darkness was abundant by the time I came back to the car but this cache and its starting point is an animal paradise. I started off in a hurry to complete the waypoint but with so many sightings with a brilliant torch I soon was slowed to an amazed wonderful saunter. I have never seen so much wildlife outside of Narawntupu NP or a zoo so Sirius once again I am thankful for for your amazing caches. I will return here with scouts...this is an awesome place.
BTW cache is in good condition other than being a little damp.

Worked out the co-ordinates for Wp2 and off I went. Gps tracked spot on all the way and the track through the trees is very well used. Found the cache which is very wet inside. Log book damp. Dried the container but the plastic bag does need replacing. TFTC

Lived up near this cache some time ago and never took the walk. Was a great day with full sunshine.

Saw a platypus near one of the bridges.

Beware of slippery bridges, had gps in hand and started to slip, up in the air went gps, lucky it didnt land in creek. Gave Geo Missus somethin to laugh at.

Great spot, TFTC

Found wp1 without any problems, then off to wp2. Heavy tree cover in the area and the gps had a mind of its own. With the help of the clue I fluked gz and soon was on my way home. Tnln Thanks

WP1 was found quickly and the required information obtained. The walk to WP2 was along well defined paths bordered in many places by a variety of fungi and mosses and watched by a variety of wildlife - a most enjoyable walk. The GPS gave a fairly wide error range as we approached GZ and we were surprised by the number of sites matching the decsription and clues. After a short systemmatic search, the cache was found and log signed. TFTC

great spot for the kids to run off some energy. Gps was a bit off in the trees but eventually came up with the goods

Nice spot for a BBQ, walk was nice shame about those pesky flies

Thank the lucky starts for Telstra 3G internet coverage - would have been left high and dry if it wasn't for that. Forgot to take the instructions. But we managed to find it. Great walk, great cache. Thx

Knew about this reserve, but never knew the loop walk was so lovely. Took the first track and it got prettier and prettier as I went along. GZ was like something out of a storybook, with the sun-dappled mossy boulders and spacious clearing. Went slightly in circles with the GPS, but that was only through trying not to leave a geotrail. I enjoyed this very much, thanks.

Was in the area today with Digit Dick on business and managed to squeeze a bit of time to complete a cache.

Great place up here, shame that it has been let go in a lot of places.

Nice easy find, no swaps today.

Thanks Sirius

Dreary rainy day. GPS was leading us a merry dance, but once it settled the coords were spot on.
Thanks Sirius.

2008-06-08 16:43 Arrived and found the information just as RobTas and GeoSkid arrived.

Nice walk around the Dam. Gps was not very cooperative at GZ but Red Tag still came up with the cache.
Thanks sirius Tas

Found with Robtas & Jantas after the event. We went the longer way and swampy had found, logged and rehid while we were still trying to get to GZ. Good little walk. Thanks Sirius.

Took us a little while to find but another great place for a cache.
Did the loop with gspblu before we attended the North West event.
Enjoyed everything about this cache especially the frolicking platypus in the dam.
Thanks for another great cache sirius

well, we were along way from home and just happened to ask our hosts to check if any new caches had been listed in the area - turns out there were quite a few. then we had to decide which one to go for. we've had a second-to-find and a couple of third-to-find's - did we really want to go out of our way when we had failed before? of course we did! and sure enough, there was an empty log for us to sign when we found the cache!! Finally! thanks for bringing us to a great spot we didn't know about - nice walk with an easy find. TNLNSL.
