Description
Near Mitchell, Qld
This is one of a series of hides in and around the gateway to the outback.
Hiding near a scenic fishing hole, near Mitchell, Qld is a 100mm diameter PVC container. The hide isn't too far from a track, but be careful - This part of the world is home to some deadly snakes. When you find it, poke around it with a stick, just to be sure its safe.
I managed to get a few treasures from the local council for the hide, including (for the first person to find it) a family pass to the Mitchell Spa (a great place to relax and unwind).
Good luck and happy hunting.

This area has had three big floods across it this year. There is evidence of flood damage at GZ. All the stumps have damage but the stump at GZ is full of mud leaves sticks and other flood debris. The area is very wet underfoot. This one has not been found in over 50weeks or has it received a visit from the owner. I sent the owner an email but no reply received.
Cool spot, well hidden and almost about to give up but have already learnt to keep searching and then presto. We were travelling through on way home from central oz and have just started our caching life. Kids love the chase and the final hunt to find, it was Dad though that actually found it. No swaps this time.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Her Majesty at 1:10pm. We drove in and walked about 100m to the cache which was easily found. There were about 6 caravans on the bank of the creek a little further along. TFTC

Great spot to camp. Have enjoyed the Mitchell GCA caches. It's a pity they're not listed on the Geocaching.com website as well.

The log book somehow seems to have gotten a bit damp again. Would be a good fishing spot but its on to the next cache today. TFTC
Can't believe this one has gone so long without being found?
Anyways, we found the cache, set up camp and had/are having a really enjoyable stay.
I'm just grumpy that I haven't got my fishing rod with me Grrrr.
LOL

PS: Things were a bit damp in the cache and the log book had turned to pulp.
we have dried out all the "GOOD" quality swaps, and there were some good swaps placed inside, and placed a new log book in a clip lock bag within.
Thanks for a cache in a great spot which also showed us a great place to camp
