I came away empty handed. No luck today there were so many hiding places and I climbed up but had no luck finding it. Then I got scared by some penguins nesting and decided it was time to call it a day on this one. Maybe I will try again when I have some helpers!

07-May-17
The tide was well on the way out making for an easy wander along the bouldery shore and rock platforms. Not another soul around either enabling a trouble free find. Cache is in good condition - most recent find seems to have been a rock climbing muggle.

23-Aug-15
This was a tricky one to get. It was a refreshing change. Had to use the tools that I had with me to grab this one. Good thing I had my boy with me. My little Swiss army Monkey did the trick. TFTC

07-Sep-14
The tide was out and the sun was shining, perfect timing to try this one. A quick find with the aid of the hint when we got to GZ. TFTC

Hi

Found this cache while traveling up to the north west. An enjoyable day.

Nice walk with geo kids e and o around the point to this cache.

15-Jan-13
Amazing coastal views and geological features. Thanks for bringing us here. TNLN TFTC.

11-Jan-13
Perfect day, perfect weather, warm breeze and a nice stroll to GZ. Found cache quickly. TFTC.

26-Nov-12
Found easily but reached with some difficulty due to some height limitations! Some of us are not quite as tall as others!
Lovely spot though, TFTC

07-Nov-12
Thanks sirius for getting me back around here. Your co-ords were spot on as usual Smile I was last here with the Burnie Field Nats about 40 years ago and we walked all the way around to the middle of Lillico Beach! The amygdaloidal basalt was just as interesting today as it was all those years ago. There was an eagle swooping around the cliff-top but I didn't get a chance to take photos while walking on the rocky shore as I needed to watch my footing. Being short I struggled a little to retrieve the cache as have other vertically challenged people lol

04-Jan-12
Nice spot, we really enjoyed the walk out over the rocks, some very interesting formations.

TFTC

09-Oct-11
Nice hiding spot although it was nearly too high for me. Had to be very careful not to drop and break the bottle.

18-Mar-11
very good hiding spot, was a good long walk, great sights

14-Mar-11
Yeah DNF but didnt look very hard! We were more interested in the rocks and rock pools very cool. Will be back! Thanks so much for bringing us here.

27-Feb-11
Great find, awesome spot. We were lucky it was a great day as we enjoyed the great view and watched muggles fishing. BTW, we got used to rock hopping! All good at GZ.

09-Oct-10
Very interesting geology here - several different types of rock to traverse along the coast to get to the cache. TNLNSL. TFTC.

01-Oct-10
Great cache! Requires a bit of skill or height to retrieve, but not too hard. Awesome hiding place.
Signed the log and left a puzzle ball.

30-Sep-10
Loved the area that much we placed another cache nearby just to keep you all moving and looking.

22-Aug-10
Hi sirius Tas; How good was this cache! I feel it the best in the Devonport area; it is for me anyway. The geology is great, met the man from Wylie Tiles and I loved the views. Found and logged it at 1327hrs. TFTC and cheers; OldSaint.

After logging a nearby cache, I enjoyed the walk around and back as sun was starting to sink through the horizon. After previous logs mentioning height factor I was worried whether I'd be able to reach it, so took a nicely curved stick in case I needed it...but must be tall today as had no problems at all retrieving. On the way back, I kind of lurched towards the greenery when I stumbled on a loose rock which resulted in a very loud duck whistle squeal which made me squeal and jump back. Don't know whether there was a hiding duck, penguin (or person with a duck whistle) but was glad that there was no other audience! Great location and cache, thanks sirius!

29-Jan-10
geo teen was bit dissaproving of this one. he didnt like the idea of tramping over a penguin area but with help from tattsus they managed to find cache. not good if your short i was told

29-Jan-10
Another good cache Sirius thanks. Not too easy for someone just over 5 ft lol, enjoyed the walk to this cache.

21-Jan-10
Great walk in excellent weather. Certainly needed a tall person to access cache.

09-Aug-09
GPS led us right to the spot, and a likely crevice contained a few unlikely rocks and a message in a bottle. Added our names to the end of the scroll.

09-Aug-09
A good hide. This one was found by D.. he had height on his side Smile Thanks for the cache sirius Tas.

01-Aug-09
2nd find of the day at 13:40.
Wandered around the Head and found the cache quickly. Don't mind walking on the bassalt but those smaller round ones are hard going.
Thanks for the cache!

28-Jun-09
A lovely day for a stroll along the shore...and what a nice place to do it! I could not fit a GC in the bottle, so I hung on to it . Thanks Robtas!

19-Jun-09
Done deal on this one walk str8 to it

coord's spot on....didn't even have to stretch.....lol

all is well at GZ

nice spot here thanks

19-Mar-09
this is a really interesting area, we did 3 others in this area recently but missed this one, not now though

27-Jan-09
Excellently hidden cache. Had my head within 1 metre of it but still missed. It took a more agile fellow cacher to locate.

27-Jan-09
This was a good hide - it took 6 of us about 5 min of searching before we located the right hidey hole. TFTC Took a rubber ball and left a metal tag.

11-Nov-08
Nice and easy once you do the scramble over rocks. As I approached GZ my GPSr kept increasing the distance away, a case of satellites dropping out and accuracy decreasing, but once in area location was obvious. TNLNSL TFTC

24-Jul-08
Nearly high tide but as the sea was not rough managed to find this one with out getting wet feet. Cache in dry condition.

05-Jul-08
I did think about carrying red tag across the water but was busy on the phone at the time so left her to manage with 3DG's help.
Also had to step in to retrieve the cache as it was a bit high for Red tag.
Thanks sirius tas

05-Jul-08
Very pleasant walk along the rocks with one little challenging spot that neither 3DG nor gspblu offered to carry me over.
Found cache easily although retrieving it is slightly difficult if you are a little vertically challenged.
Walked out as the sun was setting and enjoyed the beautiful views the whole way.
Thanks sirius

21-Jun-08
A great little walk on a sunny day, a bit of rock hopping, but beware of trying to reach the next cache to the west (snake country) after this one from the foreshore.... stay down by the water and have fun ! These slopes are very unstable so forget the short cut up to the top !

13-Apr-08
Good little walk and a good hide, went a bit further around but tide was too high, so backtracked an went over the top. Thanks Sirius.

06-Apr-08
Found this one with the help of thatguy007 GPS. He talked enthusiastically about the joys of geocaching one night when we were having dinner and I was sold. Heaps of fun.
Thanks Sirius for giving me the motivation to explore the shoreline past the stack. The cache is in a obvious place but only for those people who are actively looking for it. No muggles in sight, in fact there was no signs of civilisation in sight.
This is a great location that the kids loved exploring. They did the usual swaps before wandering off to annoy the local anemones while we returned the cache to its secure hidey hole.

06-Apr-08
After a hiatus of about a year I introduced a new friend to geocaching. He has been going on a mad geocaching spree ever since and he doesn't even have a GPSr yet! Smile

So we decided to go together today and get a few caches with our kids, this was 3/4 for today and my favorite one out of the four.

Took stuff left stuff. Wink

Cheers,
ThatGuy007

30-Jan-08
Went against the tide and walked in at full tide - we even liked the look of a swim to the other cache on an incoming tide judging by the kiddies on their boards.
Really good afternoon leg stretch with geopup - thanks for another great cache!

12-Jan-08
Easy find on a rough walk...We did have a look at the cave thing up the hill..Was a real funny site trying to get up there and sliding back down....

Took:Super Glue
Left:Red Car

Cheers!!!

Usual good Sirius cache and a very interesting walk. TNLNSL

A great walk around to a great cache!

Thanks!

Haha- you know I'm a sucker for lunch-time caching, is this a conspiracy to make me get my office clothes wet?

Parked the geofourby nearby and set off - "I SHOULD be OK to get there and back before it rains . . ?" Well I got to GZ just as the rain started, quickly signed the log and headed for home. Didn't get too wet, and my electronic companion survived a drop onto the rocks as well! Lunchtime mission accomplished, and I didn't need a special long lunch either!

The other new cache was taunting me as I drove past, - the tide was well out - but I wasn't going to fall for that one, no sireee . . Ill be back to get that one in more appropriate attire!

Nice rocks (and plenty of 'em)
TNLNSL thanks ST

29-Oct-07
Stormy sort of day with big seas helped to make this cache memorable. Crook knee didnt like the rock hopping, I must be getting old or something. Had to do a bit of scouting around at GZ, But took Sirius's previous advice and sat down for 5 mins and let the GPS settle.
After that it was a breeze.
Had another 5 mins to take in the solitude plus the energy and power of the sea then headed home.
Thanks Sirius.
