Found this one quickly after battling our way up the track, track certainly needs a trim. TFTC
Decided to walk up as road as it looks more overgrown since other visitors GPS had us off by several metres so took it slowly, checking as we went then found quickly. tftc
Hi Sirius
The first day of a four day trip racking up 1535kms Starting at Huonville to Ulverstone (Night One); to Marrawah (Night 2); Arthur River back to Burnie (Night 3) and day four to Launceston and back to Huonville - a great trip!
This was the third cache of the trip. The Subi handled the trip to the cache with ease. However, turning around to leave required a six or seven point turn rather than the usual three pointer to get the wagon headed in the right direction. One car didn't quite get the turning around quite right and is still there!!
This one and the Trig had been a bucket listers for a long time - always too far to walk but the 4WD Subaru made the task that much easier
Found quickly after discovering and logging TP5240
Sainted the cache at 1434hrs.
TFTC and cheers

Found this cache as part of my and Geo Son E's caching and soccer trip to Burnie. Geo Kid E was playing in a regional cup in Burnie, so we left early and had a great time caching across to Marrawah and back through Burnie and Ulverstone areas.
Thank you for the cache
Drove to within 200 metres and walked the last part of the hill
Great cache

The GPSr had me some way down the slope but I thought no way would he put it this far away. So, back to the trig and I began the search back and forth across the slope until I found GZ. The turn around was completed in less than 7 but I do have a much shorter vehicle than the previous logger. TNLN. TFTC!
In nearby Mersey Lea today so I thought I would sneak up Long Hill Rd a get a two-for' . checked out the ditch on the 4WD track at the start. Very hessitant to drive over it. Thought stuff it, I'm in a Hilux. Sooo over I went.SCRAAPE. Whoops. That's right I have a Tow Bar. Meanwhile at the top Looked at the space to turn and remembered Landy Clan's 30 Point Turn in the logs. I can do it in less. 7 point turn. beat that! And in a Dual Cab Hilux!! Trig looks like it has seen better days. This Cache was easily found TFTC SLTN

Took 2 looks at the road up here, since we were in the softroader.
We made it up without any problems and even turned around reasonably easily.
Great views from here and we grabbed the trig whilst we were here.
Thanks sirius.

Another cache that I am gratefully that Swampy has a 4WD cachemobile. Drove all the way to the top. Got the trig while we were there too. Nice day, not only is the car still down the bank at the top but there was another one on a track a bit further down. Must the local dumping ground. TFTC
A pleasant afternoon stroll up this hill with a bevy of enthusiastic Eyrettes and friends had this cache in hand after a bit of searching and a lot of thinking...what would Sirius's favourite be....perch, seat, stump, rock, tree, shrub, the possibilities for little minds were endless. Thanks for placing the cache up here, just the right distance out of D'port and right length for an afternoon jaunt withn ice long views on a crystal clear day. As usual we made lots of swaps and signed the log.

A very easy accent in a real 4x4, hahahah. The 30 point turn at the top was not so easy. Another fab location. Places like this reinforce why we do this.
Beautiful day, pleasant walk and plenty of parrots to keep us company. A quick find once we got to GZ. TFTC
Definitely the right vehicle for that rather tight turning spot at the top....cheers.
Bought a 4WD back from Melb on the Spirit overnight and this was my very first 4WD cache with it!
I tested it out on almost every bit of rough road heading up to the cache and I think this little beast and I were made for each other (pic attached)
Most enjoyable cache thanks sirius Tas

Found this one today and I think the view was beautiful! I did get injured by a flying tree (D was attempting to move so we could get the car closer to GZ, one of the branches was reluctant to be snapped and twanged back to the orginal position- after hitting my leg at a great speed) but it did provide a good laugh.

Our geomobile didn't quite make it up the hill (wheels spun in the mud too much), so we abandoned it and walked the last 300m or so. View from up there would have been fantastic when the trees around the ridge were a bit lower. Cache located easily, TNLNSL. Gravel roads in and out are good, but without a 4WD the final track up from the waypoint mentioned in the description would be best taken on foot. We spent just over an hour from turning off the highway until we were back on our way again.
Unfortunately we were headed off at the pass by logging activity. Will have to study the maps to find the best way to the top and return on a logging-free day.
Nice easy find on a day that was good weather wise aswell
all is well at the top and yes it was hard doing a 20 point turn in the 4x4 geomobile but we did it
the car over the bank is still there don't think it is going any where fast (might just be outta gas.....lol )
thnx

I had a look on the map before leaving to get this and decided that sirius's favorite must be a ....... so when I got there i didnt even look at the gpsr and started searching, when i finally gave up and followed the gpsr i had it in no time. Managed to get the vegie powered cache mobile to the last corner (2wd) and walked to the top only to find a camry parked at the top (I dont think it will be coming back down under its own steam though)
thanks for another great cache and spectacular view

another great way to entertain little tackers on rather wet day , yea we took the easy way up tnlnsl thanks sirius
A nice little stroll to walk off the soreness from yesterdays activities.
Thanks Sirius.
Thanks Sirius.
Enjoyed this one, it was such a nice day, although was a bit tentative initially poking around GZ as Id seen one snake already on the road. So was doing lots of thumping with my stick. Good to break up the drive with a walk, I left my car at the suggested spot where the final road goes up, don't think it would have managed the ruts and rocks. One of the concrete blocks at the top was poured (well, inscribed) two days after I was born! TN Left bag seal, thanks sirius. Good spot.
A great day to get out on the bike after the morning rain,
Could have saved ourselves a long walk if we had taken the car as the new gravel was too loose for the road bike, the closest we could safely get to this one was 1.3km as ATCF,
So we definitely walked off the pie we had at Elizabeth town on the way down,
Coords were pretty close as we found it easily, and a FTF as well, TNLN as I forgot to take anything with me, Thanks sirius Tas for the cache we enjoyed this one,
