I was here for something else, and realised I'd parked 50m from this cache, so had a crack. Noting the time since this was active, a recent DNF and the amount of leaf litter presumably piled on whatever was here, it was a half hearted poke aorund. I wonder if it still there, encased in a rotted camo and covered in a foot of mulch?

We weren't real hopeful of finding a cache here after so many years but we were chasing GCA finds today and we thought it would be nice to find an actual physical cache.
Walked the short distance to GZ and then checked out anything nearby that fit the clue. Didn't find a cache but did enjoy driving down to the scout camp and having a look at the wonderful set up there.
Was amazed to see the sig at the start of this road saying the boom gate is shut from 10pm to 4am. Who gets up at 4 in the morning to open a boom gate????
Thanks. Probably should have put a bit more effort in to looking for this one.

Great first find, well hidden, found container had crack in it and some water had got in. Log in sealed plastic bag so still ok, signed and replaced it with container crack pointing down to try and stop water getting in.

Thanks. Found it.

Okay, got it this time, on the 3rd attempt. The "15 metres north" was true for me too.

An easy find on our way to the Birthday Cache nearby. (But like others, I agree that the co-ordinates are out by about 15m too far north.)
Took 8 fancy buttons for the grandkids. Left cufflinks, and a new pencil. TFTC

After completing a nearby cache we stopped on the way out for this one. A short walk from the car park brought us to the search area however it took us a little while to find - thankfully the clue did the trick. Initially the GPS had us about 20m away however whilst signing the log we took another reading to find only a marginal differnce to the given co-ordinates. You get that sometimes. Anyway it's a nice "bushy" locale.

After completing another cache close by, we thought this would be snatched quickly and we'd be on our way. Uh uh... this took longer to find than it should have taken. The coords seemed to be out by 20 meters initially. Luckily Altaire spied an alternate set of coords and then quickly spied the cache.

I was going to look for this cache a while ago when I found a nearby cache but din't have the time (after spending too much on the other one), but I had some time this morning.

It was a tricky little hide but didn't cause too much trouble.

Stopped by this cache while logging a few more trails for OpenStreetMap. Nice little hiding place.

Took nothing, left carabina keyring.

14:10 Wow, the mozzies were absolutely vicious here today! Great spot for a cache or two. Found without too much trouble, (except the insect kind - will aeroguard up next time!) found the co-ords about 8m off. TNLN. Thanks for the cache and the peaceful surroundings Smile

We were up at Lake Macquarie Yacht Club for an sailing regatta, so afterwards we decided to head a little further North for another FTF for us. Picked up geocoin.

Set up cache and dropped a coin 'Capricorn'. Due to the fact GCA won't let me drop a coin I have to do it this way.

Hopefully the powers to be can make this work somewhere in the future.
