Great Fathers day out. Kids had fun finding the cache and learned a bit of history on the way. Thank you.
Wandering about the weir area we just had to stop and find this cache, thanks Team Boots its in a great spot
Very happy to have logged this very early cache. It was raining (like the last time) but this time, the better half was with me to look after bubbabear whilst I had a search. The phone gps took me to the location (and using the hint), a quick find was made.
I didn't have a pen so will load the photo I took of the cache, contents and log book.
Nice hide in a great spot.

Out with the family doing some GCA caches around the hills area. I had already found this one but I thought it was a different container back then.
Replaced the log book with a new 'Reece' one from the last WA Goes Big and placed it in a bag. Dried off the swag that would dry and removed the swag that just wouldn't get dry. The container refused to dry out fully with a towel so there is probably still moisture in it but with the log now in a new bag it shouldn't matter.

Came to find and repair this one but with rain and bubbabear meant I didn't get enough time to search
Quick find here on the way home from a Sunday afternoon drive to York with the geo-muggle-missus.
Good find here and glad to see an old cache still active ... but the cache does need some TLC. Log book is damp even in the bag and other contents of the cache wet. Unfortunately I didn't have a spare bag and it was too late in the day to dry things out.
SL. THanks for the hide Team Boots

Quick find with the daughter. Cache contents were wet, including log book. Dried what we could. Dropped a 1941 half penny, took Chinese coin.

Not a park to be had opposite the cache on this very busy Mother's Day so geohubby and I drove much further down the hill before we could park safely. We then carefully walked up the very busy winding road and headed into the scrub as soon as it was safe to cross the road.
Some nice rocky outcrops up here. Great to be able to log the cache in a discreet place while watching all the muggles at the car park down the hill.
The cache and contents are basically dry but the log book is still very wet but able to be signed. We replaced the zip lock bag...the old one was very dirty and 'rusty'??
Now off to have a look at the menu on the icecream truck doing quick business down in the car park
Thanks for the hide Team Boots

Went for a drive today being Good Friday.
Replaced the container and log book.(I hope you don't mind Team Boots)
The container is now a 500ml screw top plastic cotainer.
Took the pathtag and left some swaps

Great spot for a cache but I agree with the suggestion in the previous log. The old cache container is in poor shape. T-0 D-pathtag
Found around 4:30pm - needed to be quick as the car was parked inside a "Closed at 5pm" gate but we wanted to see the colourful reflections near dusk on the weir.
Replaced the torn rusty clip-seal bag, didn't have anything useful to deal with the log paper which is quite damp and difficult to write on. I'd hazard a guess that "dolphin" sized torches would be a better size for this sort of cache - better at staying waterproof too.
Had a lovely day travelling to Perth from the York area, called past here to try to find the Sculpture Park advertised from the highway but ended up finding nothing of the sort and spending the time exploring the Pumping Station Number 1 and surrounding structures instead - excellent!
Signed the log, thanks for the cache Team Boots.

Found the cache but everything inside and outside the bag was wet and the log paper was only just able to be written on.
Thanks for the cache.

I parked over the other side of the dam and walked across, great day to be out walking in the hills. I had to search for the cache and eventually found it. The unusual container is starting to show its condition. The contents were dry and but have seen better days.
Thanks for the cache and the hunt.
I could not walk past the Ice Cream truck on the way back without getting one.

Great views from the cache but, unfortunately the cache contents have seen better days, signed the sheet of paper and struggled to get it all back together again. Thanx for the cache.

Enjoyed the views at Mundaring Weir then enjoyed a short walk on a warm day to find this cache in view of the ice-cream van down below. Nice view of the weir from up here. Good co-ordinates, so a quick easy find was made at 12:30pm. Unusual cache container, but its getting a bit rusty. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache Team Boots.

Walked over the dam wall from the previous cache. Co-ords accurate for a nice quick find. Replaced the plastic bag as it was wet with rusty water. Thanks Team Boots for helping us enjoy our time in this wonderful area.
Found ok, after a long walk from wrong side of dam, did while doing another one and just kept walking.

Took Birds of a Feather GC, thanks for the cache.

I just got a new GPS60cx via eBay and was itching to use it!
I hadn't installed any Oz maps yet, so I parked about 500m away and went for a walk. I was about to cross the dam (wrong dam side!) and noticed that the gates were about to be locked, so I went back to the car and, this time, parked within 50m of GZ!
The new GPSr led me right to the spot (yay!) and I soon had a torch in hand. This is a long way from the beach, so I guess that's why Boots hadn't bought any batteries from that woman (cos she sells 'C' cells by the seashore...)
I didn't have any small swaps, so made none.
A FTF to christen the new GPSr! Perfect!
