414 Km from home.
Heading home after a week in Sydney, as an ex-serviceman (24 years Army) this one was on the list. After finding a spot to park and ‘refresh’ after the drive we wandered over to this monument. To say we were blown away by the detail of this sculpture is an under statement. Being a retired ‘gun plumber’ (Armourer) I couldn’t fault the period correct SMLE .303 #III*
The camera got a good workout here so I could take our memories with us.
Thanks for bringing us here.
We took nothing but memories and left nothing but footprints.
The co-ords were good and we found the answers easily enough.
Thanks for the cache Sam Spam.

Just had to stop at this one. Had a grandfather who rode in the Light Horse and being a horse lover listened to his tales for many years. Never realised the scale of their involvement in the wars. Found the info boards fascinating, over 500000 horses sent overseas and only 1 of them returned to Aussie shores. Thanks, a thoroughly enjoyable virtual.

This is a really AMAZING statue with incredible detail. It's great to see that it's a fairly recently made work too so such wonderful skill is still valued.

The circus was in town but these virtuals were still accessible. A nice monument. Thanks
Found this at the start of my attempt at night caching in Tamworth. Being born and raised in Tamworth I am proud to see a place of memorial worthy of the diggers.

Thanks Sam Spam for allowing me to log a find for this cache, but because I was here before it was a cache I will not claim the FTF. Thanks for the cache and it's great to see a youngster showing an interest in Aussie history.
