Managed to locate this one while searching for the nearby gadget cache, the log was too wet to sign and i didnt have a spare in the ute. managed to get a small line on the log sheet. TFTC
Hello Robtas thank you for the cache
Today EeePees and I were on our way to Launceston to pick up some furniture and on the way we stopped off to find some caches.
This cache wasn't too hard to find, but not quite where we first state to look.
Found on Saturday 1 February 2020 at 1030.

Hi robtas, many thanks for the cache, found with my great mate AlbyDangles.
Today we were heading north under the pretence of collecting a piece of furniture; but of course we were geocaching, and may I say, a great day out with fantastic company.
Cache is well-cobwebbed, in and out, and the log/s are all a-tatter. Found a spot to leave our initials, but I fear it was probably over other faded squiggle/s.
Cheers

A surprisingly easy find seeing that I have been here before searching high and low. TFTC.
After peering into hard to get to places, I suddenly saw it in an easy to get to place. TFTC robtas.

We must have driven over this cache many times, but today we actually stopped and retrieved the cache. Log is in a bit of a state of disrepair, but could still be signed. We were impressed by the magnet - flood strength we are guessing! TFTC
#GA1385 - 14:10; Landed in Launceston and with some time to kill before we picked up another passenger from the airport, headed to Evandale with the geohoney for lunch and a visit to a local leather shop. Grabbed a Tasmanian scallop pie before picking up a few of the local caches. Stopped for this one on the way out of town and quite surprised that it has been 6 months since it was found! TFTC robtas

We love visiting Evandale, so thanks for placing a cache here Robtas. The log was still signable but it and the cache container are quite rusty now. TFTC

Once down at GZ, the cache was soon spotted and all was good. Good magnets meant it a took a good effort to have the cache in hand.
Thanks again RobTas....

Managed to swing past this cache on our drive around. Visited this one after Bridge #2

We vaguely remember stopping here once before to have a "bit of a look". Obviously it was a half-hearted lame "man look" as we left empty handed. Not so today as it only took a "bit of a look" to find the beastie. CiH in moments is always a good feeling. Thanks Robtas.
Now that is a magnet! (why is there so much steel around this hide...!) TFTC

Great no one around. A quick find on my way to next house sitting job. The magnet is a ripper! TFTC

After dropping off some relations at the airport made my way to to nearby caches before returning back to Launceston. I have vague memories of trying for this one some years ago with no luck, so am happy to get a yellow smiling face today.
Thanks for the cache robtas.

Found this one at 10:45 while on the way down to Hobart for a few days of conferencing. A nice quick find after a squiz at the hint and we were on our way.

After driving past GZ 3 times for various reasons I just had to stop even thought we were way behind time. Luckily it was found and logged in under a minute. TFTC

nearly gave up until i got the courage up to go under a bit further and was rewarded with a cache and a FROG! (yes a real frog!) thanks for the hide.
Thought we would give this one a shot even though no one has logged it since Last November, and just as we were about to give up Electric C spotted it. Still there
An easy find thanks to the hint. Just as well it was quick because there was a cloud of insects hovering and I had to beat a very hasty retreat and leave mr sharnie's tribe to sign the log and replace the cache. Heard the magnet go clang from the safety of the cachemobile. TFTC
You don't want to get between that magnet and a hunk of metal. No chance of that one falling down. Cool hide. Thanks for organising the cache and giving us another excuse to come to Evandale.
Found while hunting down a gnome. Plenty of water in the river.TFTC.

Found this cache whilst hiding a gnome across the river.
Would have been an easy find except for the seven kids on bicycles who turned up to have a major conference on the bridge, smack bang on top of GZ.
We discussed flood levels whilst I quietly groped the likely bits of structure. Ah-ha, found. Oh bother, the magnet's so good I can't get it off! A quick risk taken by turning around to apply some force and the cache was in hand. Casual stroll back to the car for the signing of the log and then a patient wait for the muggles to leave before restoring.

Found on the way to Evandale markets. Lovely spot, might bring kids for a swim here, when the weather is a tad warmer . Thanks for bringing me here.

A quick find as there was no-one around to disturb us. We folded the paper a different way so that it couldn't lodge in the bottom and so will be easier for the next finder to extract.

Geo Kid E and Myself were staying in Launceston for the weekend and travelling to Devonport for a soccer tournament. We set ourselves a target of 10 caches for the weekend, as after 2 hours traveling and 3 hours for 2 games each day, there was not going to be a lot of time left over. In the end we found 12, 6 GC and 6 GCA.
I have searched for this cache over and over. FINALLY I have found it. Thanks for replacing the cache

Didn't find this one. Had a good search around the new failing and bridge area, on the top and underneath with no luck. Evandale wasn't kind to us today. Will try again on the next trip north.
Another search at this site and another no find.
Given the recent find and some tips from Old Saint I thought I was in with a show, but no luck with Geo Kid O searching for this one.
I will try again next time I am in the area.

No muggles about today gave us plenty of time to look. Found after a short search. Thanks for replacing this cache robtas

Let's disable this until the cache onwer can make a decision as to what to do.
On my way past to the airport I stopped and looked down the road. Where I previously check this cache 6 days ago and DNF'd it. Well it is now a river. I would say that cache is now bobbing up and down the river. See Pics attached. It shows my Gps and the where the cache should be, but ahead only water.
Don't think this one survived.

I too had a scratch and sniff around this bridge. Went down amoungst the thorny bushes, up along the bridge, checked holes, magnetic metal, beams, supports, even on the other side of the road, but nothing. CO to check me thinks
Had a good scratch around cinder blocks and girders but failed to locate cache. Ripe blackberries made up for it.
Had a good look, but we feel that the last floods may have washed away the cache

Did not find cache as GZ was underwater due to floods.
Cache may need checking when flood waters recide.

Thanks to the "path" it was an easy find. The last in a day of walking and caching. TNLN TFTC!

This was my final cache for this trip to Launceston and have had some fun. Managed to find 42 for the trip. Got this cache at 1319hrs and got severely muggled whilst signing the log by a flea bag owner and his flea bag. He asked if I was taking water samples so I agreed and to this point in time he believes they have pristine water in the river. Wonder if they do? Looks pretty good to me. Cache returned to hiding spot without any one knowing where it is! This find was my 12th today and my 465th overall. TFTC and cheers OldSaint.
Avoiding two muggle fishers was the biggest problem in retrieving this cache. The cache was a quick find once they were avoided.
Found it today. Water was many metres lower than the last time when I was here, but think it was not so much the high water as being missing (on that occasion) for that DNF. Nice to have it found. Thanks robtas.
I had a look about without sucess and after a further look there it was staring me in the face. Thanks

Thanks for replacing the cache robtas. We roamed about for quite some time continually looking in what we thought were obvious places but couldn't come up with the cache, we knew it was there so we kept covering old ground and what do you know, it was there looking D in the face. Sometimes you just can't see the forest for the trees!... no it's not in the trees
I was almost ready to give up, after having looked in, on, under and around both the foot bridge and the main bridge. In a last ditch whinge I explained to my helper that I would expect it to be in the one obvious place, which I had already checked. Guess what? That's where it was!
We used gto live on the hill over looking this cache, a great swimming holde just a tad further on. The cordinates were a tad out today
Cheers

I may have given up sooner than I should have, but there didn't seem to be too many hiding spots above the lapping water. In order to look up where I thought it may have been, I actually had to climb up and along part of the structure which put me hovering over the water. (It wasn't in that spot!). I couldn't see it, but I may have given up fairly quickly as there was so much water so high.
Went to find after the recent floods could have been washed away ?
Will wait and see.

Another good hide, took a while to find this one as GPS had me looking about 10mts away from actual hiding spot.
Thanks again Rob, make sure when you venture up ‘North’ again you bring along a couple more caches to drop off….. )

With rebulus and gspblu we were able to locate and log this cache as part of our FEB ‘08 NUMBERS RUN.
It was amusing to watch one of our party scale part of the structure to reach a spot that another one of our team was convinced where the cache was... turned out it wasn't there it was somewhere way more easier than that!
Thanks robtas for being one of the 24 cache owners that made our trip a success.

Finished work as early as possible, not early enough, on Friday and set of for Somerset. Managed about two hours sleep/rest and started 00:00 and finished at 23:54 today.
We had relaxed breaks for breakfast, lunch and dinner and achieved our goal with only nine DNFs, no injuries and were still smiling at the end.
Thankyou for this cache robtas
