We camped in the Recreational Ground just down the road and stopped here after visiting the falls, we had dessert and the sticky date pudding is divine.
We looked around and managed to find some of the answers.
Thanks for the cache Grumbligrot.

A very busy spot today! We had a lot planned today so decided to skip a pub lunch but it's certainly one to remember for the quieter months. An interesting location. TFTC!

On our way to St Helens and popped in.

Came here to show our muggle travelling companions the 'Pub in the Paddock'. Checked out the star attraction performing its specialty, had lunch [not that great a meal] and then grabbed the information for this cache.
A great pub and spent quite a while checking out all the stuff on the walls.
Just as well this cache was here and made the detour in worthwhile - couldn't find the GC cache and met ClanKeegan earlier in the day and they couldn't find it either.
Thanks.

Brought our muggle travelling companions to the pub in the paddock today as one of them had never been here before.
Grabbed the information for this one, watched the animal attraction here doing its thing and then went in for lunch.
Couldn't find the GC cache here but at least this one gave us a successful visit.
Thanks, a great old pub full of interesting stuff.

This is indeed an iconic part of the history of the north eastern section of Tasmania. Not sure how many beer drinking pigs the establishment has had or whether this activity prolongs the animals life. Definitely a must visit for those travelling through the area.

Thanks for another in your series of Historical Buildings Grumbligrot
