Description
City cache with parking nearby
An easy cache in an urban location for you to search for, it shouldnt be that hard for you to find.
The cache is on a busy street but the location is out of site from most people and cars.
It is also my first 'real' Geocaching Australia hide, this location is perfect for a hide and I have been thinking about it for a while now, a little prod from a fellow cacher has got me round to it at long last.

My only attempt at a trad GCA in Tas.
Well it failed miserably.
Sure it was still here.
My eyes failed me I'll blame the freezing weather at 6am.
One day I will return!

Caching with oldmorty in Hobart. 1st GA cache found. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
A coffee and scones at The Picnic Cafe frazeydaze wandered up to this cache where we had a quick find. TFTC
well i was found out by a muggle, but I educated him on our very cool game. all little Lewis wanted to talk about was his "storm trooper jumper"
Hoping to collect some ammunition for the Battleships Game we headed out today to reload our cannon in preperation for firing.
Made a quick find of this well cammoed cache. Cache and contents in excellent condition.
Many thanks SSR for placing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience today.

a very quick find, bit tricky with the roadworks but they're all much too busy working to pay attention to me. tftc
An easy find today - the place was deserted on New Years Eve
Thanks for the cache, SSR !
Thanks for the cache, SSR !
Had half an hour to waste after working in the city to head to a meeting.... had a quick check of any caches nearby/On my way so stumbled across this one!! TFTC which is still in excellent condition:)
Not too often we get time to find a GCA cache, but today we did several in Hobart as we had good opportunity. Thanks for placing this one for us to find.

Caching over the last two years has become quite a casual, ad-hoc exercise for me, so I've just been using the GC phone app and hence missing all the GCAs. Today I decided to remedy that a bit, and downloaded a bunch to my GPSr.
A quick find with surprisingly few people about.
Thanks!

G'day Mr SSR, thanks for the cache.
Like the previous finder (purely coincidentally, a work colleague and good friend) I too went for a lunchtime walk/hunt to score this little green fella. I have caught the green hopper bus from hereabouts, very handy transport to/fro Saturday Salamanca Market.
Cheers.

Thanks for the cache SSR. Felt like taking a bit of a stroll at lunchtime today as the weather was too nice to sit inside. Had a quick look at the GCA map and picked this cache as my destination. As I tend to take a fairly late lunch, there weren't too many muggles on the street and very few cars. Spotted the cache quickly and the log was soon signed. Cheers and thanks for the walk.
ok, so its a long time between finds but i was trying to tidy/consolidate into one box my geocaching bits and pieces so then i thought i'd have a look on the site. saw that this one was close to home and i was heading to the farmers market so i popped and got it. Thanks for the hunt and nicely camouflaged cache. It takes a while for some to become equally keen for GCA seems like you have! ☺
We’ve been a bit slack lately and haven’t actually been to the GCA website and our old caching app hasn’t been updated for the new iOS on our iPhones so we’ve been using the geaocaching app that I can’t seem to import external files to but anyhow I had a look today and spotted this cache not far from work so decided to have a look after finishing.
Was a nice quick find and great camouflage match. TFTC.

While one team member was helping number 2 son with some building tasks the other was designated to pick up number 1 daughter from Bikkrum in town. Finding she had 20 minutes to spare and this cache was close by she decided to park outside the yoga venue and walk to GZ via the Sunday market. Checked the metre to find the kind person who had been parked here previously had left 28 minutes on it so to market she went.
After collecting some salad greens, bagels and fresh walnuts plus the obligatory coffee it was off to the cache.
On rounding the corner the reason for the cache name became obvious and the thoughtful cache owner had chosen a site with a seat nearby - somewhere to safely leave the recent purchases while the search was made and to enjoy her coffee after signing was complete.
Slipping out of sight a quick visual inspection located a well disguised container hidden in a place fitting with the name of the CO. A little cache creep had occurred as the finder was certain the hint implied the hide would be above her. A quick sign and return and it was time to finish her coffee before gathering up the shopping and returning to the car.
Loved the way the container fitted neatly into its hide. Think the position now better reflects the hint.
Thanks Stainless-Steel-Rat for this cache, a great one for your first real GCA hide. We look forward to more during the up and coming Christmas in winter game.

Hello stainless-steel-rat thanks for the cache.
I was on my back from getting a first to find on a cache and realised this cache of yours was in town so I made a detour to find it. I couldn't find a parking spot even as it was so late at night as there was a church service on at the nearby church. After finding a spot to park around the corner and walking back to near GZ I thought this is going to be a hard find, but thinking about the name of the cache I knew exactly where it look and there it was, in the dark the colour match was perfect. So it ended out to be an easy find and I had a lovely seat to fill in the log what else can you ask for.

Being out and about down south with the CO yesterday, we were talking about dragon zones and point etc. I still don't fully understand how it all works so I just pretend to and ask interested type questions. I can see Minotaur had a good control over Hobart and indeed this cache, which is good.
We were discussing this location and I stirred him about it as Google maps showed a different location to the actual one. Not far away, but a whole different access situation. So pulling up across the road we wandered over, SSR graciously giving me a headstart to find it. It wasn't where I thought it would be but my keen caching eyes spotted it quickly.
It was a worthwhile visit for both of us. A find for me and a tidy up of coordinates for him. Not to mention the wayward frog......

Once at GZ the GPS had us several metres away from the cache. Thanks to the hint and the name of the cache we were able to locate it fairly quickly. TFTC
Hi SSR
ANZAC Day; up early and on the road - solitude needed.
Arrived at GZ and had an easy search with a quick find
Sainted the cache at 0650hrs
Caching today took me 6439 steps over a distance of 4.85km
Paid my respects at the cenotaph when I got back to Huonville this afternoon
LEST WE FORGET - WE WILL REMEMBER THEM!
TFTC and cheers

Ok that's two cachers that have left the FTF gift, we all overlook stuff in a cache but I would be pleased if the next finder could take the item if not for themselves to hand on to someone else, there is no need to swap anything for it.
We very rarely find ourselves in Hobart, but today we were having our car serviced in Argyle Street, so we used the time to look for this cache which was very quickly found. Oops we missed the FTF prize that was left for the second to find – we never leave or take swaps and honestly never noticed that there was something other than the log in the cache – good luck to the third to find. Thanks for the cache SSR.

"This spot is screaming out for a cache" I said. A few days later and look what pops up! Gotta love a FTF when the paint on the cache is still wet. I left the FTF prize as a consolation for the 2nd to find. Thanks SSR!
