Description

A simple Traditional Cache to find during your travels.

While driving south after a caching trip with Albida33, LuckyL10n and Sol de Lune we thought we'd add a few caches along the more empty areas to encourage people to stop for a rest and revive and survive !!

This cache is a nice quick drive-by. Not very difficult to find.

Please replace exactly as found.

Happy Hunting !!

My traveling mates will be claiming a find as they were with me when it was placed, but of course they will not be claiming the first to find.

As we headed to Winton with the hope of adding another LGA to our Qld total we stopped to look for this cache. The container was still nicely tucked away making a straight find.

Thanks for this cache Fitzy_1965. Container and contents were in good condition.

We travelled 8,500km through 5 states for a 60th birthday party over approx. 6 weeks. We endured many days over 35C and then saw a lot of water in the eastern states. We enjoyed travelling east with family and then they travelled back to Alice and we made our way home to SA, trying to dodge the rain and wet weather.
Caching is a great way to see the many wonderful sights and learn about the places we are travelling through.
Thank you to those who take the time to hide caches

This is a fantastic spot for camping but unfortunately the cache wasn't there (not if the usual long reach at the end was the hide). We commented on the new road surfacing to the bridge and then realised there were new replacement structures over it as well. We're as confident as we can be, the cache is missing. Also reasonably sure the CO doesn't live within cooee so we replaced it with the only thing we had, an eclipse tin with a magnet and log. Hope this is okay.. let us know if not, we're quite happy to change our log to a DNF. TFTC fitzy_1965.

Driving into Longreach with Pa for a few days. I did the long reach and the log was signed. Cache is in excellent condition. Luckily the van was parked in such a way that the campers up along the Darr River couldn't see what we were up to. TFTC fitzy_1965. Top cache due to easy parking.

In the area for a few days and last night in Blackall. Came to Longreach area to get two GCA hides on my way to Muttaburra. Good safe off highway parking and a short walk to GZ and a quick retrieval. No traffic on the highway whilst I was there. Now to drive back towards longreach to take the good road to Muttabuurra as the Darr Creek road is very Boggy when wet so says the sign. #GA2026 - 00:00; It was a long reach followed by a long wait for the first finders to arrive on the scene. Now that milestone has been reached, I'll claim my find as I was there with the CO and others when the cache was placed. TFTC fitzy_1965 Very HappyClan Cerberus

A long reach it was...and a bit of a long time for the first to find to be claimed. However, now that is has, it's time to claim a find as well.

Longreach is a neat little spot and it's good see the GCA caches around the area now as well. hopefully many others will get the chance to visit the area as well.

Thanks fitzy....worth the wait.

TFTC. We were driving from Winton to Longreach this morning as we make our way slowly South via Bundaberg. I had become aware of GCA caches while inWinton. Spotted this one as a possible rest stop and a bonus {FTF} as well. We actually overshot as we had not preprogrammed the GPS. A short back track and the prize was ours.
