Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a 1964 children's book written by Roald Dahl, with a sequel Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator released in 1972. A third book in the series was never completed. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has been made into 2 movies, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) starring Gene Wilder, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) starring Johnny Depp. They are both favourite films in my household. I'm sure we all know the story about the 5 Golden Tickets and the tour of the factory - as well as the interesting characters and of course the Oompa-Loomps and their quirky songs.
Grandpa Joe - one of Charlie's Grandfathers - gets out of bed for the first time in 20 years and goes with Charlie to the Factory. In the 2005 Film there is a backstory added that had him working in the factory before it closed.
This series of caches plays homage to the ultimate fantasy - owning your own Chocolate Factory - and the final reward for this series is just that! There are three sets of six Traditional Caches, each with a clue to the seconds of a Mystery Cache. Find the three Mystery Caches, and you unlock the key to the final Mystery Cache - The Chocolate Factory !

I think this one has a cracked lid. Log dry, so I turned it upside down considering the weather and placed rock gently on top.

Out tonight tackling a few more on this trail. Another cache another shot in battleship! Easy find on this one tonight. TFTC
I'm playing the Battleship game, so I need all the gcas I can find. Went out tonight to chip away at this trail and gain a few more shots. This one was quickly found at gz. TFTC Fitzy_1965.
After the FTF adventure on Spring Hill this morning at sunrise, I still had some time before I was expected back at home - better not get back too early and wake them 
. So I did a number of GC and GCA caches along Nanima Road whih I had missed on earlier trips.

This seemed to close to a GC cache on the map that I was concerned people would find and sign the wrong cache, happy to report there are no wrong signature in here. But looking at it zoomed in, aka standing right there, it is 20m to the other cache, so not too much danger of that happening.

After a great visit to Shellharbour parkrun volunteering to as marshal I left home rather late with a full packed car for a long weekend of caching. Took matrass, boat and walking/climbing gear so prepared for most situations. Slowly made my way through the highlands to pick up pieces here and there and then a quick run towards Canberra. Most of today's planning however was just outside the ACT but close to the border . Picked up the trails around Murumbateman and then towards Hall. Got pretty warm along the day, I think I saw 38 at some point. Luckily no long walks and all caches found quick, thanks for putting them out there!

I took a morning trip out to get a few caches on an unusual Friday off. There was an interesting mix of GC and GCA caches here, and despite a bit of roadworks blocking one cache, I found 5 of each without any problems.

Found this cache on the way to, at or on the way home from the Mega at Clearwaters. My trip to the Mega was great, found lab caches which while like gadgets are new icons to me. Found some great caches and brought back some neat ideas for new caches in Tasmania.

After finding all the GC letterboxes along this road, just found the first of this trail, but are now heading in the wrong direction. Maybe get back another day to do the rest.

Enjoyed this series that kept us on our toes collecting clues and collating them right to the end. Even though a couple were missing we still managed to work out the mysteries.

Day 9 of our trip to Alexander. Day one Monday 6 November we went as far as Moree leaving Nanango Qld early. We stayed overnight. Day 2 Day 3 AND DAY 4 we stayed in Dubbo. Day 5 we stayed in Shepparton. Day 6 and Day 7 we were staying with relatives din Bendigo. Day 8 we travelled to Canberra where we will stay for Day 8 Day 9 Day 10 Day 11 and head to Alexander on Day 12. Today is time to spend caching in Canberra. Next on the list. Arrived close to GZ and parked on the same side of the road and after a very short walk had a quick find. All good here. TFTC FITZY_1965

We continued down the road to this cache where again accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well hidden cache container. Mrs y'stassie was a little hesitant about walking through the long grass when she couldn'tee what was in there. Fortunately no snakes were encountered today.
Cache container and contents were in good condition. We collected the next piece of information for the puzzle cache before rehiding the cache as found. We were surprised at the steady trickle of traffic that makes its way down the section of road. We had to take care when parking and crossing the road.

I haven't done many GCA caches, so this trail was an incentive. Started at the highway and followed the trail in order. All caches found OK. Still a little wet on the roadsides, but with care it was OK.

With no rain as per the forecast, I decided to head out this way after checking out a few element caches.
Hence I started this series from the northern end and did have to add a few extra kilometres to complete them all, but a very pleasant drive in the country. I even got to have a chat with Just a Cacher and Black Bunny during my travels, so an added bonus.

Out today with Just a cacher to grab this series and make the most of a pleasant day. Most caches were a quick park and grab after finding a suitable spot to park and all caches were nice and dry after the rain of yesterday. Bumped into Boot65 while on the series run and had a quick chat before heading our separate ways.

Off for another short foray into the world of pain and misery (caching). Weather was much better today, though, and we stopped to eat our lunch at an oval where there was a soccer game going on. Nice to have a floor show.

Saw this series published yesterday and decided to grab a few today. Managed to grab the first 2 sets of 6 with their corresponding puzzle but ran out of time for the other 8, so will need to come back on the weekend for those. No problems find any of the 14 today, with finds on both sides of the road all being found quite quickly.
Brought back memories of watching both movies....with each being different in their approach to the story. Don't favour one over the other, just like both of them.
