Description
Carbon
Carbon is a chemical element with symbol C and atomic number 6. It is nonmetallic and tetravalent - making four electrons available to form covalent chemical bonds. Carbon is the 15th most abundant element in the Earth's crust and the fourth most abundant element in the universe by mass after hydrogen, helium and oxygen. Did I forget to mention that there WILL be a test after all this? The ladies will know that Diamonds are made of Carbon, existing in many different shades, including the famous Pink Argyle Diamonds from Western Australia.
This series of caches is dedicated to the Elements and the Periodic Table. While my aim is to get them all out eventually - they will broken down into subsets of caches - in this case 7 caches, 6 Traditionals and a Puzzle cache as follows :

Thanks

I always enjoyed chemistry at school - just like my Dad !
Today I decided to take advantage of the fabulous weather and the May Madness and go caching with the GCA caches in my sight. There were plenty to be had so I planned a circuit up to Gunning and then across to Sutton and home again via the Federal highway service road. Had to do a detour via Breadalbane to avoid driving back through a large Road Bike Race but all is well.
I found all 6 in the series but ran out of time to go for the final. Another day. All logs were signed some as SG and caches returned to their hidey holes. Thanks for the series Fitzy_1965.
Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers finding caches and this was one found. A quick drive by. TFTC

Having parked safely we made our way to carbon, unfortunately no diamonds were found. We could have used another form of carbon, graphite well known as artists charcoal and the lead in pencils, but opted for longer lasting ink.
The cache and contents were in good condition.
We will look forward to the threatened test as a way to shake the cobwebs away and see how much our brains have thrown out (sounds better than lost or can nolonger reach).
By the way does anyone remember bukkyballs?
Thanks for this cache Fitzy_1965 We certainly enjoyed a trip down memory lane with carbon.
Thanks,
Todays little sojourn took me down a road I have been down before, with one of the caches right outside a horse property I've been to many times. Didn't look like anyone was home today, so it was on to the next one.
Thanks fitzy, a neat little series that has so many options for a puzzle or two. Look forward to finding a few more.
A nice elementary drive by grab for a *FTF* with Jac.
