Description

Puzzle and a stroll...

The coordinates given are NOT for the cache, they are for a good place to park and where you will find the answers to the clues.

It is a flat walk, friendly for kids bikes (and wheelchairs), the main part of the walk is paved, but side sections that you can walk and will need to access are flat wide dirt tracks. There is a great fenced playground for the kids and a small café to have a coffee when you return from your walk to the cache.

There are some steel sculpture fencing panels at the entrance to the park where you will find your clues.

The cache is located as S31°52.ABC, E115°59.DEF where:

A = The number of eggs in the bird’s nest on the steel sculpture panel + the Answer to C.

B = The number of square wooden seats outside the gates. This answer is the second digit of the number.

C = Number of brolgas + number of dragonflies in the steel panels.

D = Number of fish on the steel panel with the turtle.

E = 2 x number of eggs in nest.

F = Answer to C + Answer to D.

Coordinate checker enabled.

(During the floods in early 2017, this was underwater, so here’s hoping it stays dry!)

Out with the the better half researching some more trig locations this time from the Perth 25K map as well as doing some other caches around the area and to the north at Whiteman Park.

Had a pleasant walk from where we had to park the car some distance away, collected the information required to work out ground zero and then another pleasant walk to the cache collecting some caches from the other listing site along the way.

Once at ground zero the cache found without problems. Log was signed and cache returned as found.

Thanks Meccatan for the cache and exercise for the day.

This gave me good excuse for cycle along the river; after correctly calculating final. I must open my eyes wider and slow down, not rush when doing the numbers.
Perhaps Terrain rating could be closer to 2.5 ?
Cheers Very Happy

I was advised that the info panel for E has been removed from the site. E clue updated.

I was out for a leisurely bike ride today, and decided to come and find these caches while I was at it. I worked out the final coords for this one a little while ago, so all I had to do was head to GZ and it was a quick and easy find once there.

Thanks for the cache Meccatan!

I think this might be my first find of a GCA multi! I was out and about walking along the trail along the river and it was only when I got back to the Natureplay Playground carpark that I realised that there was the multi here. Anyhow, luckily I had some more time up my sleeve to head back along the track and find a very well hidden container. Almost gave up a couple of times, but figured it had to be there. Great hide. Went and found the necessary info and drove to another spot as I had already collected caches along the route. I grabbed several other caches while in the vicinity and found the cache very easily and the coordinates were spot on. Thanks for the multi meccatan. At the different location I found it was only a short walk. ClappingClapping

Woohoo *FTF* @ 8:40am. DancingDancingDancing

Returned this morning for another go and got it this time. After confirming my coords with the CO I had a more extensive search. Cache was only 5m from where I looked last time, so I'll blame it on being at dusk Smile
Great multi and a great place for a walk. TFTC & Coffee!! Clan Minotaur

Well its a dnf for me. Acquired the necessary information after work. The final coords had me around 1km North but after an extensive search I couldn't find anything to match the hint at GZ.
Just a note, this should be listed as a multi not a traditional as the cache isn't at the listed coords.
