Description
A Break in the fence - Western Ring Path
The Western Ring Path is the continuation of the Western Freeway Path along the Western Ring Road and provide more opportunity for some walking or cycling along a nicely made asphalt path way. This small section of the path is very noisy as you make your way alongside the very busy freeway. But if you're up for the challenge then this little section is only about 800m long and you should be able to park close enough to each end to make these geocaches a brisk walk and grab. Damn, which side of the path? Well, which one has a broken fence? Ahh, yes, that side. This is not too hard a geocache to find, simply look for the way items may be piled that nature isn't going to do. As this is a high traffic area (for bikers), please try and cover the geocache well so it cannot be seen.

Logs
Our last day of caching the trails, with a target of 35 caches. We managed a total of 21 finds and 14 DNF'S.
Cache and contents are in good contition.
Many thanks caughtatwork for all the caches you have placed, we appreciate the time and effort gone into placing them.
A nice quick find in an obvious spot. The SPOS gave it away whilst keeping it hidden.
Cache and contents in good order. Needs more visitors!
Thanks for the caches C@W. Much appreciated.
Bypassing from Newport and caching thru Sunshine before heading back towards the west.
I bypassed down the Western Ring Road Bike Track for some smileys.
Nice quick find.

No problems here, obvious to a half-experienced cacher.

Well.
This wasn't the day I'd planned, but family matters had turned the weekend on its head. Between sleeping in after the fun of caching in the dark until so late it was almost early, and staying at home to referee while the better half ran some errands, it wasn't until mid afternoon that I rolled out the gate.
Finally logging my first cache for the day after crossing the Whitten Bridge, I continued anticlockwise around the Ring Road, bagging 42 finds, and a handful of DNFs.
Thanks, C@W... today's haul has gone a long way toward my ambition of getting my GA logs over 10% of the GC total.
GCA#303
We had not encountered any muggles walking or running but the noise from the industrial estate was growing in intensity and there was a strong petrochemical smell along this section of the pathway.
Thanks for this cache in the Western Ring Road series of caches Caughtatwork.
All was good with the caches and all were found in good condition.
Thanks for the continuing series C@W.....
This morning my auntie 'cathlud' came to watch me play hockey and then we did some geocaching on our way home.
My auntie let me use her GPS and I followed the arrow and read the details to find this cache.
Thank you for placing this cache.
After picking my niece (PrincessFiona) up from Yarraville we were ready for a few hours of geocaching along the Western Ring Rd Path, on our way home. Earlier in the week I noticed that four new caches had been added to the path and this morning the FTF glory was still unclaimed.
We parked in Plummer Rd and took a short walk along the path to find the four caches up to Piper Rd. PrincessFiona was in charge of the GPSr and I used my geosense. Finding four blank logs was a highlight for the princess and also finding a few pathtags to add to her small collection.
Thank you caughtatwork for the series.
