Description
Welcome to the first Geocaching Australia cache from the Burkey Turkeys!
This is a micro cache hidden in Killara on Montah Avenue.
Some of you may know this cache as previously being a waypoint for our archived multi cache "Show Me A Sign” (GC1TXCJ). We thought this previous waypoint hide would make a great standalone traditional cache so here it is.
Please be aware of the muggles in the area which usually consist of dog walkers.
**There is no need to enter private property to find this cache**
Good Luck and enjoy the hunt
Also here is some history about the suburb of Killara …… if you're interested:
Killara is a suburb of Ku-ring-gai Municipality, the traditional land of the Kuringgai people (also spelt Guringai). Its name is derived from the Aboriginal language and means 'always there'. It is located 14 kilometres from Sydney, between the suburbs of Lindfield and Gordon.
Killara is an Aboriginal word meaning permanent or always there. The name of the suburb was chosen when the railway line opened in 1899. James George Edwards was a representative of the people who requested a station be built here. The suburb was established as a 'Gentlemen's suburb', designed so that there would be no commercial ventures in the area. For this reason, the suburb has very few shops in the original development.

Happy Caching
Went for a drive after physio this morning and stumbled across a *FTF*. "Show Me a Sign" was archived not long after I started caching so never took the chance to go looking for that one.
