Description
Todays quest was to find the five caches related to the GA10000 cache south of Mitchells pass. There is an excellent walking path from the parking to the GZ and lots of caches to grab, it was well worth the trip.
This collection of sticks drew my attention and at the end of the walk I added my own.

Almost forgot this one in my haste to get into the air conditioned car after doing the Rogerw3 series 10000 caches. Hot and bothered I didn't see it immediately and there is now only 1 stick in the hole. Soon found it eventually and signed the log and dodged the traffic zooming down the pass.

Found with teamashy. We were at Knapsack for teamashy to do the GC caches she hadnt done there. We had tried to park twice in the last few days but there had been so many cars parked there! This is a favourite birdwatching place so was surprised to see it so busy. Headed down late in the afternoon and finally could park. With no cars coming down Mitchells Pass we hurried over to find this cache. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
I had a lovely spontaneous drive down to visit 2 of my daughters on the coast and surprise one of them for a birthday breakfast. In all honesty, it was really an excuse to get outdoors and play because I was getting pretty low and only had 2 midweek days off work. So I knew I was geocaching after breakfast but not where. Thought Mossvale or Goulburn, but in the end the temptation was too great. I'm taking the long way home and finding those cool bridge caches!
Of course I found this cache whilst there. At first i was surprised at the amount of traffic coming into a carpark and shooting through it really fast. Then I figured out on the map what was going on. Had to wait for a muggle who had parked with their nose out and was sitting there chatting on the phone. Went for a walk to another nearby cache and they were still talking when I got back. Eventually they moved on and I made my move between traffic and made the find, took it back to the car to sign, and then ducked back across to rehide. It actually gave me a little buzz just trying to get and return it without being muggled. hahaha
Thanks for the cache.

I’m very glad that this 1 is a relative easy cache to find – completed in the late arvo – been here in the early morning & it is like Pit Street – very busy as many use this road as a short cut down the mountain - TFTC / TFTH / SL

#GA2462 - 11:10; Day one of a caching mission in the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune. After an early start in Canberra, we collected a few of the newer caches along the highway before we reached the foot of the mountains and started the major part of the mission, to collect GCA caches to help us meet some dragonZone trophy requirements. We had a handful already when we reached the convenient parking area for this cache and the start of the 10K series trail. Inspected GZ, then after a bit of a feel around, voila, a cache! Log signed, cache returned we were off along the 10K trail. TFTC Team MavEtJu

Up from Canberra with LuckyL10n for a 2 day run around the Blue Mountains and this was our next stop of the morning. Parked in the obvious spot (especially for the next 5 caches) and walked over to GZ where the cache was found...albeit after a short search. Just what are the sticks for...used walking poles maybe. Anyway, no real problems and our names were soon in the log.
Thanks Team MavEtJu....off now for a walk up the trial.

In the area this morning and the first of several finds. This was the simplest being a park and drive sort of one. The others attempted today all involved a walk.

Today's quest was to do the GCA #10,000 cache but it didn't happen as I realised half way there that I had to do some prep work first. So I only got -3 and -4 done today ... plus this bonus smiley as i came back to the geomobile. Thanks ziggiau.
Like what the kids said. Found on the way down to Penrith for some shopping. TFTC
