Hi meatmanfamily
Thought you might like this sign as much as I did.
Mangana is a small country district in the Break O Day Community on the East Coast of Tasmania.
The colour, the Wedge Tail Eagle and the historic church attracted me to this Rural District Sign.
The district is a farming community, one in which the forest industry plays a major part and tourism is a major draw card.
TFTC and cheers;
OldSaint.

The Kentish District is a relatively large area centered on the townships of Sheffield and Railton. It is a very fertile agricultural area with dairying, beef cattle and vegetable production being the main activities. There is a large cement works at Railton based on the very extensive and high quality limestone deposits found in the area. This sign is situated on the northern approaches to the Kentish District on the road from Latrobe to Railton.
A damp and foggy morning, on our way home from visiting my parents. We passed through the Tooma region, marked by this sign and not much more. The old pub is still there, a district hall is a km away and there was a post office and school some long time ago. TFTC!
Along a back road between Yass and Boorowa lies the border between the Boorowa Shire and Yass Valley. Saw the sign and grabbed the photo. The fact a GC cache is nearby is really just a coincidence.

Welcome to the city of Cessnock.
Cessnock is a city in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia, about 52 km (32 mi) by road west of Newcastle. It is the administrative centre of the Cessnock City Council LGA and was named after an 1826 grant of land called Cessnock Estate, which was owned by John Campbell. The local area once known as "The Coalfields" is now the gateway city to the vineyards of the Hunter Valley, which includes Pokolbin, Mount View, Broke, Rothbury, and Branxton.
The town is located in the rich alluvial and volcanic soils of the Hunter Valley. Rich coal seams underlie much of the area. The Brokenback Range (part of the Great Dividing Range) rises to the west of the city. The Hunter River flows down the Hunter Valley approximately 20 km (12 mi) to the north.

Could not work out which category this one actually should have been claimed under. this one looked like the best choice. Yuleba is on the Warrego Highway which is the main connecting road from Brisbane to roma to Longreach to Mount Isa to Darwin. this is the oute the trucks use to get from brisbane to the territory. Yuleba was on the Cobb and Co coach route and the sign says it all.

Koala Country, until recently, was the only sign as you came to Anakie. I took a photo on the way down to Geelong today of the sign with my nephews GPSr. On the way home I took photos of the new signs, but forgot to add the GPS. One is welcome to Anakie and on the other side is the Goodbye. Seems strange to see the goodbye as you are heading to Geelong. Sign seems to me to say you are leaving Geelong, not Anakie!

Found by baby&Mrs gopher.Entrance to The Rock in the Lockhart Shire. This sign tells of the population, elevation, and a big part of the areas scenery.A feature that can be seen for many kilometres in all directions.
WanderingAus wandered by on day 170 of a 6 month trip Wandering Australia, heading from Port Augusta to Quorn, and came across the "Welcome To The Flinders Ranges Council" sign. There was a lookout and safe parking to the right so I swung into the parking area so my WanderingMrs, aka SWMBO, could get the photo. That IS a GPS in my right hand, still in the cradle, but it's facing me so I could do the waypoint.

Tiaro Shire - we located this sign on a gravel road of the main road between Tin Can Bay and Maryborough. We went on to visit the little fishing village of Tinnanbar at the end of the gravel road.
We arrived into Coolgardie just before dusk, so the quality of the photo (on my phone camera!) leaves a lot to be desired, but it hopefully will be ok. A most interesting town that needs time to do it justice.
Batchelor in the Northern Territory. The 2000 Australian Tidy Towns National Winner. Batchelor is appoximately 100 km south of Darwin and is the gateway into the Litchfield National Park.
