Description

St Kilda is located only 10 minutes from the centre of Salisbury and 45 minutes north of the Adelaide CBD, the historic seaside town of St Kilda has been a popular destination since the days of the first settlers, when local families would spend the day crabbing, paddling and enjoying the sea air.

Today, St Kilda offers visitors an award-winning adventure playground for children and adults, the Tramway Museum, the Boat Club and Marina and the St Kilda Mangrove Trail and Interpretive Centre featuring a 2 kilometre boardwalk showcasing the mangrove forests of the Barker Inlet.

The playground has had a major transformation and as part of the redevelopment there is a new basketball court, new electric bbqs and shaded picnic table areas.

There is a large grassy area and picnic facilities so this park is well suited to a day trip with friends and family.  There is a vast amount of space to run around.  There is also plenty of parking.

We have visited in the past on a clear winter’s day and the playground was ideal – not too hot or cold. We have also visited recently during a hot summer’s day and we definitely needed something to sit on to slide down the metal slides. Once the newly planted trees and vegetation grow there will be more shade. Currently there is only minimal shade and shelter so hats are a must.  Keep in mind the kiosk is quite a walk from the playground, however during school holidays in summer and spring you may find an ice cream van parked alongside the playground.

You are looking for a nano and the title should tell you where it will be located.

You will need your own geo writing tool to sign the log and a geo extraction tool to get the logout.

Enjoy the playground mateys.....

We took the grand daughters to St Kilda today so that they could explore all the play equipment in this park and hopefully find a few caches.

We spent almost an hour searching every level of the pirate ship in the vicinity of GZ, we went up, down, round and around; we widened our search and widened our search; went back to GZ and started again and repeated the process without finding any cache container. After about 45 minutes we admitted defeat and the great play began.

A check of this cache would be appreciated Dezzabills as the last find was 2017.

Came here a few weeks ago but didn't even bother to look as the whole area was swarming with midget pirates Shocked today however (to my surprise) the rogues were nowhere to be seen & I had free reign to search. It still took me quite a while to find this little blighter however, but then there are several floors to check Mr. Green
Cheers & thanks for the hunt Dezzabills

We spent 20 to 30 minutes looking for this one to no avail. It didn't help to be sharing the structure with about half a dozen kids and their families.

Despite searching the upper deck and the two floors below, we could not find a nano cache.
