Description

In the series of Trains In The Shire: Cronulla.

Cronulla railway station is the terminus station of the Cronulla line, serving the Sydney suburb of Cronulla. It is served by Sydney Trains T4 line services. The station is unusual in that the two platforms are situated end to end, rather than side by side, making it the second longest rail platform in New South Wales, after Albury.

Until 2010 the link towards Woolooware station was a single track, after that it was duplicated to two lines.

From here you can go further by bus to Kurnell and further south of Cronulla, or by ferry to Bundeena.

I mosied on down here for a spot of din-dins but unfortunately, my preferred tuck shop had just closed. Sad I decided to head back to Miranda for option 2 and that brought me past this one on the way back to the car. A quick squiz at the hint Embarassed soon had me signing the log at 20:20 and with the cache replaced, I was on my way. Very Happy

TNLNSL. Thanks again Team MavEtJu.

Quick find after the Shark Island swim. Took a short walk to GZ and found the cache in good condition.

I have a reason to start doing some local GA caches.
Given that my GC goal is to lift the D/T rating to 1.9/1.9 for my 8,000th find (I am on 6,400 @ 1.82/1.79 now) and that we are doing the York Peninsular power trail in March (over 400 in a day mostly 1.5/1.5 and nearly 1,000 all up), I am trying to avoid doing any GC caches under a 3/3.
With this handicap and the Journey or Destination game drawing to a close, it is time to spread my wings and keep caching by doing GA caches and at the same time try to get myself into a position where I will win a PathTag.
Thanks for providing caches.

Second cache for the day, and I was surprised to see that I wasn't the FTF. Well done Nessell as my goofy GPS had an arrow pointing to the other side of the road and nowhere near the hint suggested. Got there in the end, Thanks Team MavEtJu for my first TITS of the day,
*Overall Experience: 4*

Yay! Another [FTF] in the Trains of the Sutherland Shire series.

This was find #2 of 4 this morning while out in the Cronulla area with the geokiddies. This was a quick find in an obvious place, in fact I just reached up and grabbed it while we strolled past taking the cache away from GZ for signing duties. Opening the cache it was a clean and fresh log to sign and another GCA FTF for me. The geokids and I are enjoying this series, thanks for the cache Team MavEtJu.
