Description
A cache hidden in the Christmas in July game
At some point most little girls dream of being a ballerina. They look so beautiful and graceful but it takes years of hard work and practice to reach that level of performance. Recently a couple of dancers visited a primary school in the Hobart area and talked to and performed for a couple of the classes of children. At the end of the performance the ballerina took off her pointe shoes and presented them to a little girl sitting in the front row, the little girl was so overwhelmed that she cried. Hopefully she might get to go to dance classes some day.
This cache is not at the published coordinates, it's hidden at the following coordinates:
There was one character missing in this alphabet so another character had to be substituted in the coordinates above. Happy hunting

Logs
A short, pleasant beach walk soon had us at GZ where accurate coordinates led to a quick find.
But we must admit we tried a few more obvious spots before we took any notice of it.
Thanks.
On a raid of Wynyard, left home in the dark for a trip to NW, to collect caches newly placed since last trip, plus some older ones we had not yet searched for. Quick find, cache all good - thank you Sharnie's Tribe for the cache.
TFTC.
Took the longer way to walk to this cache, and then it took me quite a while to actually find cache.
Found this cache on a 2 day trip to the NW, covering over 1000 kms and finding around 100 caches of both GCA and GC
Thanks again Sharnie's Tribe...
A three day trip to the North West Coast of Tasmania
Travel:
Started at Huonville through the Lakes Highway on the central Plateau to Deloraine and out to Sisters Beach; back to Somerset for the night. Various places visited through the next day finding caches, mainly in the Penguin area and back to Goat Island Reserve for the night.
Day three, I was caching around Ulverstone and then back to Huonville.
Total kilometres travelled was 1006 kilometres
Found 16 caches during day 1, 26 on day two and 12 on day three – total 54 found and two DNFs.
Walking:
Over the three days, I took 32664 steps burning 5791 calories to cover a distance of 25.51 kilometres in finding the 54 caches.
This cache:
Put on my tutu and dancing shoes to solve this cache – enjoyed the new type of puzzle (for me)
This cache was a quick find with only a few muggles further down the sand.
It was Sainted at 1615 hours
The near by scene was pretty
TFTC and cheers

We are currently participating in the States of the Nation games running from 16 December 2017 until 21 January 2018.
States of the Nation is a real and virtual geocaching scavenger hunt where your home state will compete against other Australian states to find and hide geocaches. Over the 5 week course of the game there will be hundreds of scavenges that you can track down, find and convert into points for your state. Some scavenges will be easy. Some scavenges will be tough. Some scavenges may be impossible. Don't despair. You are not competing just for yourself; you are competing as a state.
There will be a number of scavenges released on a weekly basis but each scavenge will remain until the end of the game. This means even if you decide to join the game part way through, the early scavenges are still available for you to claim. Scavenges will require you to find a geocache, hide a geocache, attend an event or do something else completely different. The game focuses on all aspects of geocaching and so all cache types, sizes, terrain and difficulty will be up for scavenging. TrigPoints, Events, History, Virtual, Webcam, Podcache and Locationless geocaches are all scavengable, so you're not just looking for a box under a bush. Each week there will be a mix of physical, non-physical and locationless geocaches so even if you are not in a geocache rich area, use the locationless component of scavenger series to get out, find something to log and gain points for your state. If you watch the scavenges as they are released you might also spot the 'not so hidden' patterns and plan for future weeks of the series.
Hiding geocaches will also be a large part of the scavenger series, but please remember this is a game of geocaching and geocaches that you hide should be long lasting, be of good quality and you should be proud of what you hide. Please avoid hiding a geocache just for the day so your state can find it before you archive it. Geocaches that exist for a short period of time may result in any claims on that geocache being disqualified. Play creatively, but also play fairly. More geocachers hiding more geocaches makes for more geocaching fun.
Sorry about the lengthy logs. We are currently aiming for a virtual verbosity trophy. TFTP

At least the poor weather was good for sorting out the neat puzzle, which didn't take too long.
Today also coincided with having to do a blood test at North West Pathology Burnie, so worked in well. The weather behind Burnie was bitterly cold with reports of road closures on the Lyell Highway due to heavy snow cover.Along the coast towards Wynyard the skies had cleared and was quite warm approaching gz.Didn't take long to find the right access point to the beach but further progress was hampered by two nearby muggles chatting away. Waited until the coast was clear, then a poodle belonging to one of the muggles came up for a sniff and a pat. Once it was all clear I soon had the nearby cache in hand then a short walk along the beach and with very accurate coords again soon led to a quick find. Cache and contents in top nick. Many thanks Sharnie's Tribe for placing and maintaining the cache for us all to enjoy.....thoroughly enjoyed the puzzle and find....cheers ST
There was a very good link between the name of the cache and the code chosen to conceal the coordinates. Given the hint to solve the puzzle, it wasn't long before we had a set of coordinates which the coordinate checker confirmed. We were surprised however that the published code table was missing one alphanumeric character. Thankfully Sharnie's Tribe made a very sensible substitution and highlighted it in the cache description.
So early this morning, after we had given Bessie (chocolate_ali's cat) her antibiotic tablet, Mr y'stassie headed west in the increasing rain. After finding the first of the two caches on the agenda, Mr y'stassie headed off to look for this cache. Thankfully the rain had stopped but the wind was quite strong. Again accurate coordinates led to a quick find. Mrs y'stassie would have had great difficulty retrieving this cache but Mr y'stassie was just able to see the cache in its hide when close. The cache and contents were in good condition. There being no other entries in the logbook, we will claim FTF at 8:30am. Congratulations Sharnie's Tribe on the publishing of your first puzzle cache - a great start with, hopefully, more to come. We can now head north knowing that we have two more options for claims in the Christmas in July game.
