Description

Shortish 10-15 minute climb with panoramic views of coastline and surrounding mountain ranges.

Those with a 4WD may be able to drive within 100m or so but beware of getting bogged as the button grass is quite wet. Also there are no trees

available to winch yourself out with.....so be careful.

Track leaves the Heemskirk Road at S41 48.936 E145 07.125

Cache is a 500 ml black screw top container with logbook, pencil and a few swaps.

Enjoy!

Hi and thanks for the cache.
Taking advantage of the Hobart show public holiday, and making a 4 day geocaching trip West, and then North West, with AlbyDangles.
This is one we found along the way, drove part way, walked up the rest.
Great views, all's well at GZ.
Cheers, EPs.

Caching our way back to Zeehan after the Oz Day event with SSRat and Goose&Egg the long way around.
Bit of a hike up to this one but worth it for the amazing views, a quick find once we stopped looking about and taking pics.

Goodness me! It's been just over 6 years since this was logged and then 3 teams come and find it in one hit. It was our last 'slog' of the day but with 3 finds in one spot it was worth the effort for sure. The egg headed off with the kids to start dinner and stainless steel rat, TazScout (x2) and I pushed ourselves up the hill. We were rewarded with wonderful views and of course these 3 caches. Thanks sirius Tas, most enjoyable

This is a another at the top of the hill and this cache is in very good order dry log and everything.

Do this hill the view is worth it.

OK Sirius Tas........you tricked us this time. Walked to the trig, took the photos, walked back down again then looked at the Garmin for the next nearest cache. GRRRR!!! Right beside the trig we'd just come from. Serves me right for not paying enough attention. I hope you won't catch us out again. Cheers! Very Happy

Found on our West Coast Wilderness holiday with whitewebbs. We managed to drive to the top in Geocruiser after checking track was not too wet. On the last hump we heard a loud bang Shocked what was that we thought Exclamation Hopping out of the car Mrs W says "we've lost a wheel" Shocked Mr T thought she was joking but sure enough the tyre was hanging off the rim. A quick change to the spare, grab the cache and nearby trig photo and good to go. This will be one cache we will always remember so thanks for the memories. Oh and the view was great on a clear West Coast day.

Found with Tassie Trekkers while holidaying on the west coast. TFTC I think. See trekker's log. Went in their geocruiser to the top and scored trig as well.

Were a little unsure about this one but we managed to get 4wd right to the top of hill and were able to grab cache and trig point. With 360 degree views it was spectacular

The view from this lookout was superb today. The near cloudless blue sky and strong sun highlighted the wide range of colours in the vegetation and rocks in both the foreground and in the distance. The only difficulty was the very strong NE wind which had come up since midday making walking a little difficult - however, it didn't detract from the magnificent view. A quick find. TFTC

I was asked at the 1st Ever NW Traditional Non-Incorporated Thingy Get-Together Event, what I liked to do caching. My answer was: To turn a walking type cache into a drive by.
This is it.
An excellent test of my driving skills saw me make it to the top to claim the cache.
TNLN. Thanks siriusTas for the opportunity to hone my driving just a little more.

Great first cache for the weekend. Amazing 360 deg views
and a good walk up to the cache.
A short while there admiring the view and taking photos then back to the car and off towards Corina

What a brilliant cache that was well worth the drive and the walk!
We really enjoyed the stunning 360 degree views and we took some great photos.
Thanks Sirius! This was the first of quite a few of your caches that we enjoyed on our long weekend trip to the North West.
