On our way to tackle more of the series on the Dooleys Trail today. We had to stick this off the list. Quick find after climbing the embankment and tripping over blackberries, and dodging traffic. Quick fine we’re on our way again TFTC
Tried looking for this one today whilst on our way to the secluded falls. Unfortunately did not find. May need checking.
After finding Kindred Spirits 3 easily we failed here. Searched for quite some time with stainless steel rat and TazScout with no luck
regardless, it's great to see you are back geocaching!

Today with the weather not very nice we decided to go for a drive up through kindred to towards the castra falls and then come back down through top gawler road. in total we attempted 10 caches in total with 9 finds and 1 did not find.
this was our first cache for the day, we pulled up close to ground zero and a quick find was made we resorted to signing the log in the ute as the wind was nearly blowing you over it was that strong. TFTC

Quick clamber up hill and found the cache quickly
TFTC.
Took the longer way to walk to this cache, and then it took me quite a while to actually find cache.
Found this cache on a 2 day trip to the NW, covering over 1000 kms and finding around 100 caches of both GCA and GC

We headed out for a day of caching with Tassie Trekkers and targeted Ulverstone and surrounds. We were amazed how nice and green the beautiful country side was. We had a lovely tour of the countryside. We are enjoying participating in the States of the Nation games which are currently running from 16 December 2017 until 21 January 2018.
States of the Nation is a real and virtual geocaching scavenger hunt where your home state will compete against other Australian states to find and hide geocaches. Over the 5 week course of the game there will be hundreds of scavenges that you can track down, find and convert into points for your state. Some scavenges will be easy. Some scavenges will be tough. Some scavenges may be impossible. Don't despair. You are not competing just for yourself; you are competing as a state.
There will be a number of scavenges released on a weekly basis but each scavenge will remain until the end of the game. This means even if you decide to join the game part way through, the early scavenges are still available for you to claim. Scavenges will require you to find a geocache, hide a geocache, attend an event or do something else completely different. The game focuses on all aspects of geocaching and so all cache types, sizes, terrain and difficulty will be up for scavenging. TrigPoints, Events, History, Virtual, Webcam, Podcache and Locationless geocaches are all scavengable, so you're not just looking for a box under a bush. Each week there will be a mix of physical, non-physical and locationless geocaches so even if you are not in a geocache rich area, use the locationless component of scavenger series to get out, find something to log and gain points for your state. If you watch the scavenges as they are released you might also spot the 'not so hidden' patterns and plan for future weeks of the series.
Hiding geocaches will also be a large part of the scavenger series, but please remember this is a game of geocaching and geocaches that you hide should be long lasting, be of good quality and you should be proud of what you hide. Please avoid hiding a geocache just for the day so your state can find it before you archive it. Geocaches that exist for a short period of time may result in any claims on that geocache being disqualified. Play creatively, but also play fairly. More geocachers hiding more geocaches makes for more geocaching fun.
Go Tassie! Go Tassie!! Go Tassie!!! Go Tassie!!!! Go Tassie!!!!! Go Tassie!!!!!! Go Tassie!!!!!!!

Out and about with whitewebbs for a day of caching down the coast. Good weather and company made for a great day of caching.

Hi Sirius
Left home, Huonville, this morning in the dark; travelled as far as Ulverstone and returned in the dark - left at 0530hrs and returned home at 2200hrs. A round trip comprising 772 kilometres including visits to Kindred, Turners Beach, West Ulverstone and Spreyton.
Weather: Wet at Huonville at 0530hrs, raining to Oatlands and then fine weather on the North West Coast for the day until I left and got back to Oatlands where it was humming down. Rained on and off from there to Huonville.
Having found one cache on Don Heads, my plan was to find as many as possible of the TasStats series as possible.
The puzzles had been solved some time ago, but this was virtually the first chance I have had to come North West in some time.
So far in that series, I've found six with just one to find - so on the way to look for it, I thought I might as well try to find some caches along the way. This was the third on the way through the beautiful farming land. So far today, I've found ten including this one - All GCA; not one GC amongst them yet: 1 Trig, 6 Puzzles and three traditionals.
Parked right next to the bank. The walk to the cache was not hard, but I do dislike that sort of plant with intensity. Finding the cache did not take long. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Luckily, no blood drawn.
I Sainted the cache at 1257hrs.
After putting the cache back in place, I took some pics of the very pretty area. Was wondering what the big building near GZ was - some sort of farming organisation I guess.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.

Technically we live at Kindred so it was good to get some new caches in our 'local area'. Our previous home was at Gawler and we grabbed those 3 caches as well today.
Our connections with the Kindred area also include Mr Beetle's parents owning a farm there and Mrs Beetle's father played footy with Kindred once he was too old to play in the bigger league so many of my childhood Saturdays were spent at the Kindred football ground and then sitting in the car outside the Forth pub!!!
Another quick find thanks to accurate coordinates.
Thanks.

Having travelled up to have a day out with 2y'stassies. We set out to find the new Gawler and Kindred caches and hopefully pick up 6 new joint FTF's with the 2y's. A great day out with good friends was rewarded with a find and a blank logbook, target of 6 from 6 FTF acheived. We claimed {FTF} with 2y's. Thanks sirius.
After finding GA10675 Tweeting Cowboys we joined Grumbligrot on their mission to find the recently published Top Gawler and Kindred Spirits caches. There had not been any logs of these caches so we had high hopes of six more first to finds.
It was a beautiful, clear, sunny, winters day; a perfect day to spend outside caching with friends. We enjoyed our trip through the country between Gawler and Kindred. The views across the country side and out to the coast were splendid.
After finding the caches on the Top Gawler Road we made the trip across to Sprent and the Kindred Road to start with number three and finishing with number one.
We parked a short distance from the cache hide and one team member made his was up the bank dodging the blackberries and the spikey branches. The cache was spotted by those who remained below who then directed the team member up the slope to the cache. Again the log book was blank so we will claim our seventh and final joint {FTF} with Grumbligrot at 13:35. We were glad we were hunting at this time of the year as we feel the cache will be more difficult to see through flowers and foliage.
Container and contents were in excellent condition.
Thanks Sirius Tas for this cache and the six other caches we found today. We had a great day caching and touring this area on such a beautiful day with Grumbligrot.
