Hi sirius Tas, and thanks for the cache, found with AlbyDangles on a caching weekend based at Gowrie Park, after transporting some Venturer Scouts to their statewide 'Venture' at Arm River Camp last night.
Was a quick find as it was out in the open, but otherwise all okay. Re-hid it in what looked like its intended hidey hole.
Thanks for the adventure.
Cheers, EPs.

A drive today with Geo Kid O, with dual main purposes, to find enough points to qualify for the highest souvenir and to find a reverse cache to complete a challenge on GCA.
The day was a success with both purposes being achieved. No showers of any note made everything almost perfect. TFTC the cache
Great to get back to this spot - was coming anyway to find another cache

This cache has been sitting in the SBA queue for a quite a while but no longer needs to be there.
This log is simply to clear the SBA flag.
Thank you to the CO for replacing the cache.

Tackled the Dooley track today with DEZ055. What an amazing walk. We did this in two stages, starting at Spellmans bridge and walking as far as we could before turning back to the vehicle and driving to the end on River Rd off Swamp rd to continue the track from there to the north. We decided to head to Dooleys trail #1 to grab along with a couple of others whilst we were there. This being one of them on our way to River rd to tackle to Dooleys again.
Another quick find. TFTC

We needed to find some caches to get us on the board for the October games so we sat down and worked out a plan of caches that we would target.
This cache was the first find for the day, after parking near ground zero the cache was quickly found with a good hint and the log was signed and off we went. TFTC

looks like maintenance has not been carried out on this cache, looks like it needs to be archiving. which is sad to see
Unfortunately, this cache looks like maintenance maybe required.
To ensure future finders have an enjoyable experience in both finding the cache and visiting the area, a check on this cache is recommended.
If the cache still seems to require maintenance within 28 days, Geocaching Australia will archive the cache to stop it appearing on cachers lists / PQ's.

We headed out for a day of caching with Tassie Trekkers and targeted Ulverstone and surrounds and this was one we had on our 'to do' list. After a thorough search around the pole, fence, grass we came up empty handed.
We are currently doing a virtual trophy for verbosity, hence the long logs! We are enjoying participating in the States of the Nation games which are currently running from 16 December 2017 until 21 January 2018.
States of the Nation is a real and virtual geocaching scavenger hunt where your home state will compete against other Australian states to find and hide geocaches. Over the 5 week course of the game there will be hundreds of scavenges that you can track down, find and convert into points for your state. Some scavenges will be easy. Some scavenges will be tough. Some scavenges may be impossible. Don't despair. You are not competing just for yourself; you are competing as a state.
There will be a number of scavenges released on a weekly basis but each scavenge will remain until the end of the game. This means even if you decide to join the game part way through, the early scavenges are still available for you to claim. Scavenges will require you to find a geocache, hide a geocache, attend an event or do something else completely different. The game focuses on all aspects of geocaching and so all cache types, sizes, terrain and difficulty will be up for scavenging. TrigPoints, Events, History, Virtual, Webcam, Podcache and Locationless geocaches are all scavengable, so you're not just looking for a box under a bush. Each week there will be a mix of physical, non-physical and locationless geocaches so even if you are not in a geocache rich area, use the locationless component of scavenger series to get out, find something to log and gain points for your state. If you watch the scavenges as they are released you might also spot the 'not so hidden' patterns and plan for future weeks of the series.
Hiding geocaches will also be a large part of the scavenger series, but please remember this is a game of geocaching and geocaches that you hide should be long lasting, be of good quality and you should be proud of what you hide. Please avoid hiding a geocache just for the day so your state can find it before you archive it. Geocaches that exist for a short period of time may result in any claims on that geocache being disqualified. Play creatively, but also play fairly. More geocachers hiding more geocaches makes for more geocaching fun.

Hi Sirius
Left home, Huonville, this morning in the dark; travelled as far as Ulverstone and returned in the dark - left at 0530hrs and returned home at 2200hrs. A round trip comprising 772 kilometres including visits to Kindred, Turners Beach, West Ulverstone and Spreyton.
Weather: Wet at Huonville at 0530hrs, raining to Oatlands and then fine weather on the North West Coast for the day until I left and got back to Oatlands where it was humming down. Rained on and off from there to Huonville.
Having found one cache on Don Heads, my plan was to find as many as possible of the TasStats series as possible.
The puzzles had been solved some time ago, but this was virtually the first chance I have had to come North West in some time.
So far in that series, I've found six with just one to find - so on the way to look for it, I thought I might as well try to find some caches along the way. This was the second on the way through the beautiful farming land.
Parked right next to the "post". Searched high and low, in and out - had jumped straight out of the car not looking at the GPS was some three or four metres out in direction and location. The farmer was ploughing two or three paddocks across and I was conscious of his presence. Searched high, searched low on the new post - finally found the critter. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found.
I Sainted the cache at 1234hrs.
After putting the cache back in place, I took some pics of the very pretty area.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.

A trip to the Sprent tip this morning meant that we would be travelling right past this one. Pulled up at GZ only to have a black Labrador join us on the other side of the fence. It's owners who are also our back neighbours were walking nearby and as we didn't want to get in to a conversation with them about why we would be stopped here we abandoned this one thinking it was so close to home we would get it another time.
It wasn't much of a detour though, after getting no 1 on the way home, to come this way and this time we had the all clear and the cache was quickly located. Thanks.

Having travelled up to have a day out with 2y'stassies. We set out to find the new Gawler and Kindred caches and hopefully pick up 6 new joint FTF's with the 2y's. A great day out with good friends was rewarded with a find and a blank logbook, so off to a good start, 5 from 5. We claimed {FTF} with 2y's We then moved off to find the next one. Thanks sirius.
After finding GA10675 Tweeting Cowboys we joined Grumbligrot on their mission to find the recently published Top Gawler and Kindred Spirits caches. There had not been any logs of these caches so we had high hopes of six more first to finds.
It was a beautiful, clear, sunny, winters day, a perfect day to spend outside caching with friends. We enjoyed our trip through the country between Gawler and Kindred. The views across the country side and out to the coast were splendid.
After finding the caches on the Top Gawler Road we made the trip across to Sprent and the Kindred Road to start with number three in this little group.
This time we did not need to go further along the road to find a safe parking spot and parked opposite the hide. While the others checked out one spot Mrs Y'stassie found the cache a short distance away where her GPS had indicated it would be. A very neat hide. Again the log book was blank so we will claim our sixth joint {FTF} with Grumbligrot at 12:55.
Container and contents were in excellent condition. The shorter team members called on one of the taller ones to replace the container.
Thanks Sirius Tas for another cache in this series. We enjoyed travelling through this part of the country side.
